*Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed this video! I just posted a new tutorial on tinsel hair extensions if you want to check it out! You could use it on yourself or add some sparkle to doll hair from this video!*
You're amazing now I can make my own dolls hair without having to buy expensive hair for rerooting I can also make me own rerooting tool thanks SO SO SO SO much !!!!!!!💓💓💓💖💖💖💖💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💟💟💟💞💞💝💘💗💗💗💘💝
Hey, what kind of straightener did you use for this process? I'm struggling to find a straightener that won't be too hot for the acrylic yarn 🫠 your feedback will be greatly appreciated
Finally! Simple but very detailed instructions for a beginner making synthetic hair wefts. As an added bonus, the materials and tools are items I have readily available. Thank you!
TYSM!! I'm just starting out on my first custom doll and I don't have any pet brushes on hand so the comb alternative is very helpful. Thank you for this video :)
Does the music remind anyone of “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street”? Probably why I wholeheartedly disagree with the comments that find it creepy and clashes with the video. It’s whimsy and mysterious; works well with a fantasy feel, which ties into the unicorn reference in the video.
Ms Anthrope You’re not doing anything wrong the hair you get will always be shorter than the yarn you started with Think of the amount of hair you want and get twice that amount of yarn
Thank you this video is really helpful because I'm making a robot cosplay and I think it would be cool if I added hair to the Head even though it's probably going to take a really long time
Last night, I finally dove in and started to make wefts (after years of watching doll customizing channels and wanting to try myself). I noticed the comment that said breakage is normal, but at what point is it not salvageable? Is it better to have the yarn length short as to not break with unraveling (is mine too long at 14, 18 inches)?
It's better to have it way longer than you want it. It's going to break off while brushing out and then you'll still want to style and cut it. 14/18 inches sounds like really long though, will be a lot of work. Start brushing from the bottom and slowly move up. Put a movie on or something to help you kill time 😉 good luck!
It's been 2 years since you asked, so I don't know if you found an answer, but the pattern I'm using recommends gluing it to the head. It looks like it glued in sections and layers from the bottom to the top.
What fiber do I need to do this, please? Can I use wool yarn? It would be so much more practical to use the method you show than to try to order pre-made mohair wefts through the mail. The possibilities would be endless. All I would have to do would be to go to a yarn store. Thank you for your video.
Skylar Rainbow The flat iron is to make it pin straight, the fabric softener or conditioner is to make it soft. Technically speaking, no, it won't give the same exact effect. But it'll feel about the same (and smell really nice).

Me brushing it out: 75% of the yarn is in my brush 😅😂 also me: tries to save what got stucked in my brush XD
What a magical little idea! Your music is calming and interesting, too; it's tone matches what you are doing.
What you talking about?? It's creepy 😆🤣🤣helpful video though.
Thank you I’m working on a yarn wig and I didn’t know how to get the hair look! ⭐️
I use a hanger to put the hair strands on for combing!
Good idea! :)
TYSM!! I'm just starting out on my first custom doll and I don't have any pet brushes on hand so the comb alternative is very helpful. Thank you for this video :)
Thanks for this video. At first I tried to use a hog hair brush to comb out the twists, but a comb actually worked better. Thank you!
Very very informative, and looked everywhere for info on how to make realistic hair. Wow.
You are very talented at making tutorials! Great job!
Glad you like them!
Passion fruit is by far the best video I have seen thank you so much.
I'm having problems with brushing out, it's breaking off...does it matter that it's polyester and not acrylic?
It will break of a lot so don't worry about it. I haven't tried polyester so not sure.
What happens if it keeps breaking off so much that it’s not long enough
It needs to be acrylic yarn
I use acrylic yarn
It has to be acrylic or it won't look quite right.
i did this on a porcelain doll and it actually turned out pretty nice
this is sooooo helpful thank you so much!
You helped me so much I’ve been looking everywhere for this 😭 THANK YOU SO MUCH
Not bad. Look pretty good. I think I'll try some yarn for my project.
I love it I did it and it looked so good on my doll!
OMG love it, i'm gonna try it because I need a fake pink beard thanks for sharing
Great idea!. Do you have a video showing how to apply to dolls head?
Her: Now carefully *pulls out iron*
Me, someone who's made wigs: iron the hell out of it
Is it safe to iron
Plzzzzzzzzzzz reply 8 beg you

@@Passionfruitdiy thanks and also ty for the tutorial
I can finally make wigs for my old Barbies with failed haircuts!
I'm new to the channel. Do you have a tutorial on how to attach it to the dolls head?
Awesome I would like to try this with a cabbage patch dolls hair have you ever tried that? Or put some on a teddy bear I’ve made. A few bears.

Very nice💖
I'm new at this and just found your video... as i'm combing it I'm losing so much if it and the length! What am I doing wrong?

Is there a follow up video showing how to attach the hair to the doll head?
@@kh6130 check out Baylee jay’s doll custom, she did it with this method!
What temperature do I use if my hair straightener won't go down to 130?
Can this be washed in the machine? Or does it get felted/matter?
Can you glue it on nylon?
How do you attach it to the doll? I crochet and want to try this for realistic hair. Could you root it directly onto the head as apposed to a pencil?
It's been 2 years since you asked, so I don't know if you found an answer, but the pattern I'm using recommends gluing it to the head. It looks like it glued in sections and layers from the bottom to the top.
What comb did you use in the video??, I tried many combs but it didn't work like the video
She used a "fine comb" like a comb with a lot of the bristle things
So if I want to make a fake mustache would this work?
Probably
Could you make an wig with the same method?
Hi, yeah you could but it will take a lot of work ;)

When I have time this might work for a cosplay wig-
Could do, sounds like a lot of work though. Good luck! 🤗
Did you use acrilic yarn for the doll wefts
great video. Thanks.
tnks .....this video was so usefull
This should be tagged as ASMR
Can you tell me which type of yarn you use ?
That's pretty good
The yarn I use keeps falling apart when I brush it. What's the best type of yarn or brush to use for this?
Cool vid and all but what's with the creepy music 🤣
Ikr
😄😱
Legit man😭 I was scared
Ikr I was kinda scared scared like they're going to cut some real hair 😂😳
Ikr
Can you use yarn made from wool? 🤞
Can I make a wig like this? I wanna do a cosplay but can't find a wig for it
Technically yes but it's going to be A LOT of work 😳 I'd consider dying/cutting/styling some other wig
@@Passionfruitdiy Okay!
❤❤ Perfect thanksssss
What material is your yarn?
Creepy music: helloooo
Me: *runs
😅
@@Passionfruitdiy haha its ok!
What about types of yarn? A lot of cheap yarn breaks or gets burnt from the straightener.
this is acrylic yarn, one of the cheapest ones there is. use straightener on the lowest setting and it won't burn :)
@@Passionfruitdiy thanks!
Can it use as fur?
❤❤🎉
Perfect!
Can we buy barbie hair online. If s please provide link
Yes you can, just search up doll hair
Super👌👌👌
Does the yarn need to be heat resistant for this to work?
Does it really work
It does
@@kittyminchu thank you!
Using a pet slicker brush may be more effective
My yarn doesn't seem to be untangle. Is there a tip to when that happen?
Use a comb with lots of the bristle things or a pet brush if you have one
if you find the music scary Ik like ik like ik, a picture of a ghost will scare yall
Using a cat hair brush is faster :)
It definitely is :) no cats in my house tho haha
Oh, I was wondering why it took so long! Thank you so much!
Lovely 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎉
Thanks for sharing! This is God's blessing! It's beautiful!
i mean i will make a cat tail for cosplay with this technique but thank you very much
Would Modge Podge work instead of the glue?
Yes
Probably yes because they’re a lot the same.
Yes that's what I use
What kind of sheet was that, that you glue the hair on?
Plastic
Doesn't the yarn get stuck on the straighter
If you use high heat then yes - it will melt. Use the lowest setting possible and test a small piece before doing this.
@@Passionfruitdiy thank you
This looks fun! Question, could you use several colorways for the same hair and would it tangle together or something?
I don't thinks so, I tried once, it worked for me
Yes!
Uhmm what type of string do we use asactly
Yarn, acrylic or/and polyester
Do you have to flat iron it?
GabbleCats
You could mix conditioner and hot water, soak it in there for 5 minutes and comb it again (fabric softener will also suffice)
@@sdm47 Would that give the same effect as a straightener?

روعهةجدا 👍🌷♥️
ive been looking fo brands for hours.
music : horror story theme
but the video is great thank you
How do you tie it
On the tool
Fold the yarn in half, put the tool across the center, and pull the ends of the yarn through the closed end of the yarn.
I tried this with multiple yarns but it breaks off so much that it not long enough
It will break off a lot. You have to make it way longer than you want it.
Nice video gorgeous lady
it puts the lotion in the basket
Very useful

Pet brush would be easier than that
It would but not everyone has one on hand. Thanks for the tip tho 🤗
