Idea for you my dude: Blind Model Swap. Take your favorite bike (Probably that 450 banana) and take the model file, and make 7+ copies all just named 1 through X. Place the model in the spot for every 450 (could even do one 350 and a 250) in your folders and copy the sound file from the suzuki as well into those files. Then if you can, blindly pick a bike and try for the best lap time you can get. To you on screen, it will look and sound like you're always riding the Suzuki, but you will actually be riding a different bike for each set of laps. You might "feel" the difference, but you won't know which bike you're riding. Could lead to very interesting results. Especially if you then take your favorite one of the bikes, put the your favorite setup onto it and then see what difference that makes. Who knows maybe you'll end up like "Ayo this bike feels insane!" then find out it's a 350 or something wild.
@@liftedcj7on44s sometimes that doesn’t in smooth corners, with troyjann I’d stand about 1/4 into the corner and then sit but make sure to still be smooth on throttle. Take DDC for example, I always sweep into corners and stand the 1/4 and then sit the rest until jump. It works great for beta 19 oem
for shitters like myself (less than 80 hours), if anyone is having issues washing out on corners, standing or sitting, try bringing that FRONT TIRE pressure down to like 9.4. Rear tire i am unsure of at the moment...testing that out, but I am amazed of how much that changed my corner game. And no one talks about it...
Troy I use the right stick to sit/stand just seems the easiest since your already using it to lean all you gotta do is push down also a lot easier on the brain
Idk if this helps. I feel like if you sit while breaking into a corner the back end has a higher chance of sliding out vs if you stand until you're ready to commit to exiting the turn or rolling on the throttle.
i noticed trying to get your breaking done before having to commit to the corner, helps a lot too. But you should be able to lock your back breaks and slide in that corner like in real life. It is so sensitive, yet doesn't have enough break power. Which is why, i feel, everyone runs combined breaking. But if the rear break were to work better, people would start using them separately. Which is amazing bc you can really dial in for air maneuverability. Which leads me to think, maybe its not the breaks alone, but the tire pressure also. Thought would be, rear break primary break. Front break used for tapping to help that rear break "lack there of". With that, and maybe tire pressure, this would work and actually speed many people up, or like my self, stop washing out bc I only have 80 or so hours. Lol just a thought that I feel many people do not take into consideration. Idk anyone who messes with their tire pressure...i could be wrong, but i feel i may have something here.
@chappie2dope247 In real life you use the front brakes to primarily stop you. Especially on rough tracks. I almost barely use any rear brake because the bike is less planted to the ground. In game you would think it's similar but these new oems slide even if you don't use any rear brake at all. Rear braking just makes it. worse. Standing helps just like real life but it's hard to compare mx bikes exactly to real world scenarios with how some of the physics work.
@chappie2dope247 also you'll get faster. Just keep at it. I couldn't even get around a track 1 lap without crashing when I was at 80 hours in the game. Watch all the top guys you can and apply what they do to how you play. It helps a lot more than people think.
@@Dbomb827 i don't want to respond and sound like an ass...I was mixing both together trying to explain that locking up the back breaks should not do what it is doing in game. I surely started snowballing while typing but beings it is a game, I was mixing in knowledge of real life, and my small amount of in game experience. The game is pretty close for being just a game, but yes, it is not real life. Before i started snowballing, what I was trying to say was bringing that front tire pressure down helped way more than I can explain. In order for me not to wash out, that front break is the devil. So I use rear break as primary, and bring in the front when needed because it is over the top, for me. But...beings I have little hours, bringing down the front tire pressure has got me actually being able to take corners. Just got 1'39 from 2'02 on miami from lowering the front tire. Id say probably 8 less crashed lmao
I’ve played every second of my time in mxb with rear buttons, from personal experience having shifting on buttons on the back and not pressing the sticks for anything besides resetting has been easier on my brain
Not a tip for going fast but for looking good and steezy, sit at the peak height of your whip just before you start to pull it back. You can sit when you scrub too and it'll throw the back end around more but it can be risky so that depends on the jump
i thought everyone played on manual sit. i just started on it and never even thought of turning it off. i use RB to do it and its really comfortable for me.
Personal opinion I’ve never played mxb but I’d say doing it the way Lynds does it is the best irl, sitting as you exit the corner helps you get the power to the back wheel and to the ground. So I’d assume that translates to the game
personally i stand most of the time, when landing and taking off but when i go through corners i sit down, you have to smoothly lean, if you lean too far it’ll kick out your back tire
always used manual sit bound as triangle on my PS4 controller and using it with my whips made them sooo much better and it overall makes things so much better if used right
played just under 100 now i’ve never done the auto sit but i can say 180s you wanna sit at the apex also if you start to lose the back end or go too wide i sit down for better steering, loose 45s or 90s you can stand on the inside. i just try and take the corners like i would irl
Troy, I have the Xbox Elite V2 with paddles. The paddles are “bound” to the right stick so when I try to use it to sit/stand it actually shifts gears like the paddles do. How do I unbind them? If that made any since. Lol Kent Mackey
How are you guys able to bind your sit/stand to a paddle? When I try it on my controller, neither steam nor MX Bikes recognise the paddles on the back.
I know this is a game but IRL we teach the kids to stand almost the whole track. I try to apply that logic into the game and sit down at certain times to see if its faster.
for me Im not the greatest rider but I try to be the most consistent I can be on the track while playing the game, but my opinion is that standing in corners it feels like I can't control for shi. Like it feels like its barely wanting to turn so I like to sit in corners and its most likely a preference but it fr feels like the bike doesn't want to turn in a corner while standing
i aint no pro, but new set ups i only sit in corners when i need that little extra turn cuz i missed my set up to the corner. Standing seems faster in everyway
brother I went through the exact same thing with a paddle controller. It felt so bad at first lmao. Took a a solid 2 weeks to not catastrophically fail some laps because of it. Maybe even 3
I always used joystick for sitting and standing and i only use one paddle for the rear break my other paddle can shift up but I never use it lol im to used to shifting with the actual controller buttons
Ive always wondered why you had your sit and stand icon thingy off i thought you just didnt want people to know when you sit and stand but NAH you just used auto sit this entire time the mystery has been solved lmao. Also clicking the right joystick down is also a really good keybind for it
Hey man, try to hold sit like lynds does. That way you never get confused if you are sitting or standing. Try as I may, you are just too fast out of those corners compared to me. Sucks cause I wanna do sx so badly, but something is just wrong when you are legit riding a different bike than us mere mortals!
