  • Got in a set of wireless mics. Very happy with them so far! If you'd like a video comparing the sound quality let me know and I can make one down the road.
In the USA, I recommend ordering them direct:
    phenyxpro.com/products/ptu-7000a
Elsewhere, Aliexpress from their official store is the way to go:

THANK YOU for actually taking off the capsule! You've confirmed to me that the capsules are replaceable and that they are actually Shure Beta58a copy capsules which is what I want. It's literally the first thing I would do so I'm amazed that I've been through many reviews and nobody even seems to have even thought of it. EDIT. it's a proprietry size of capsule so no fitting shure capsules or anything like that. The handling noise is high on the mic and the plosives are too high on the capsule.

I just got the 7000 unit with two mics and two lavalier. I also ordered the antenna extension kit for rack mounting. I just tested them out and they seem to sound great. The microphones have a solid heavy quality to them and the Lavalier‘s seem like they will hold up over the long run as far as durability. It’ll be a month or so before I’ve test them out but I’m not missing paying the Shure and Sennheiser entry fees.

How are the lapels and the kit performing?

@@dreamdaycharleston It performed very well. No complaints. If you’re a sound company with top tier artists, yeah, don’t skimp… Go the multi-thou$and dollar route but for the general-purpose DJ, THESE are IT! I’d use them for any low-to-mid tier corporate event as well. I’ve got these and I ain’t looking back…

I have a band, a trio, duo, run a small festival and occassional karaoke. I use Sennheiser e835 and e935 wired microphones. I also have a few Behringer XM8500s, which are SM58 style mics. I would not expect these to compete with the Sennheisers, given the price. However, are they comparable with the XM8500? If so they could be useful.

Would you recommend these mics for weddings and ceremonies? I do about 40 weddings a year so I’m no rookie. But I love saving money and getting good gear. Who doesn’t right.

That's one of the reasons I wanted to pick up a set. In my opinion, they're perfect for that. I would add an extra foam wind screen for outdoor ceremonies.

Got it. Used for 1 wedding and send it back. Plastic windows felt off in 3 of 4 hand-helds. The range is good, sound is ok for Chineese knock off 58. Hi-pass it around 200Hz and it's ok. But not for me.

Hope their 1U top off the line system will be better. Want to try it.
