    • @PocNetwork

      It is brighter than both of the nebula Capsule and Mars series. It is closer to the brightness of the Anker Cosmos model. -- Ryan S.

      @fredreed2001 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that is the only difference then why would you get It because I heard that isn’t no battery built In feature unlike with the Anker nebula solar projector?

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fredreed2001 I didn't mention it was the only difference. I simply answered that one question. The question was in regards to brightness. If you want to know the overall difference, we would have to get all of Anker's projectors to put them side by side. That, we do not have at the moment. However, the obvious specs are straight forward. The XGIMI projector offers more brightness, a better resolution, and better auto-image tools. The list goes on from there. -- Ryan S.

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fredreed2001 That's hard to say for sure since we do not have one sitting in front of us (Solar). However, I can at least point out that the software is newer on the XGIMI (Android TV 10 vs 9), it offers 2x the brightness (giving you a lot more wiggle room in adjustments without losing too much light, plus the optional of a bigger image), and 3D support (although it isn't commonly used much these days). While the Solar is a little more affordable at the moment. Beyond that, we'd have to put them side-by-side. Honestly, if you already have the Solar, then you might as well hang onto it until the 4K version comes out with 800lm+ brightness. Then you might have something to brag about in terms of upgrading. -- Ryan S.

    It's 800 ANSI Lumens, not just 800 Lumens. It's at least 6 times this value.

    • @PCPAyLOAD
      @PCPAyLOAD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      722 ANSI lumens actually. I measured it with a LUX meter. Very common for all these projector companies to embellish specs knowing that most people won't ever take the time or have the tools to call their bluff. The Xgimi Halo model is ever worse. Advertises 800 ANSI lumens as well and cannot even get to 600.

    Hi bro, do you think this is much better that the Halo?

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both projectors have their strengths. If you plan to keep yours inside (in one place or moving around) and near an outlet, then go with the Elfin. If you plan to go portable and take it outside, camping, or in other situations where you need to operate off battery power, then go with the Halo. They are both quite close ot being the same outside of that. -- Ryan S.

    which one should i get? the epsom 5700 or this? theyre both almost same price

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We currently don't have an Epson 5700 to put side by side with it. However, it comes down to the specs. If you plan on watching it with the lights on, then go with the Epson as it is brighter. The XGIMI should last much longer compared to the lamp life of the Epson. You'll go through 4-6 lamps with the Epson in the lifetime of the XGIMI (assuming the Elfin lasts as long as the specs claim). If you plan to set it up and forget it, then go with the Epson. If you plan to move it around constantly or looking for something you can just drop somewhere, turn it on and start using it as soon as possible, the XGIMI's auto-adjustment is a true feature to have. Beyond that, we'd have to see them side by side to determine what our opinion would be when it comes to clarity and color accuracy. -- Ryan S.

      Anything with an HDMI connection can feed to the projector. Just keep in mind that projectors have a higher latency rate than TVs. Therefore, you wouldn't want to use it for any online competitive gaming (ie, multiplayer). Normal campaign and basic use is just fine. -- Ryan S.

      This kinda sucks. If there was no battery then I wish they would've added USB-C charging instead. I'm sure you could get a converter plug for cheap and use it that way instead. Just make sure you have a 100W portable battery though at least.
      EDIT: Nevermind on the plug suggestion as I just found out this uses 200W of power. You would need to get a household outlet external battery setup instead. I know you could get away with the converter setup on any lower ANSI lumens projectors though like 300.

    • @JAKOB1977
      @JAKOB1977 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@volcalstone I doubt that it uses 200W.. what should consume that kind of wattatge? small speakers, and a max 800 ANSI LED with a DMD chip.
      and a Android TV interface.. my guess it uses around 40watt.
      the ones with battery and where you both run the projector and also recharging the batterypack inside those tops out around 65watt and I can easily run them on my 90w poerbanks wiht TypeC PD decoy cable and on the display on the powerbank it peaks at 66watt and a tad over 3A 20v and that unit have way bigger dual HK speakers.
      so around 30 to 40watt for the small 1080p elfin

  • @JAKOB1977
    @JAKOB1977 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    a shame you dont validate the brightness.
    You keep refering to claims, like 800 ANSI lumens, but is it?.. same weith the HALO is it 800 ANSI.. or is it only fx 600 ANSI.. I recall XGIMI have been out stating that its likely more like max 600 ANSI lumens on the HALO if you run it on battery, but if you run it from AC it should be higher,.
    thats why a source going thrue projectors should test the brightness.
    even a crude light meter tester would be enough if you have one projector that you trust rating on and can use as a reference and then keep things consistent..

  • @PCPAyLOAD
    @PCPAyLOAD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Max ANSI lumens on this model is 722 lumens measured with a LUX meter on its brightest possible settings. Pretty common on the mini LED projectors. For example, the Xgimi Halo model that's advertized to have 800 ANSI lumens peak brightness cannot even achieve 600. The lumens ratings are very misleading and all over the place on projectors. There are obviously other important factors like black levels and contrast that make up the quality of the image. Just wish these companies would be more honest on specs.

    • @tjurem
      @tjurem 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, it's extremely misleading. however, checking the official Specs page on XGIMIs Website for the Elfin (at least now, maybe they changed it) it says 600-800 ANSI Lumens
