I realise this is an old video and you probably don't have time to read silly youtube comments but thank you so much for this video. I tried a couple of the products you mention and my very sensitive/acne prone/rosacea covered skin has cleared up for the first time in 26 years! Magical :)
Skinnydips the bioderma sensibio in the morning and make up removal, the citaplast baume is my night cream and i wear avene antirougeurs during the day. I get no reactions at all using them and even get compliments on my skin :)
La-roche Posay is my FAVORITE pharmacy brand! Effaclar duo is my skin savior! And cicaplast b5 is the best moisturizer I've EVER used! I want to buy every single la roche posay product cause they are effective and the price is reasonable! I am also a serum junkie! Yet I've tried only two (l'oreal skin perfection, lancome visionnaire and I think that skin perfection is a cheaper version of visionnaire and it's wonderful!)
We can get them in the uk, but it's just more expensive .. A cheaper option would be to pick them up in Paris if we take the train or a flight to Paris xx
At the time I was living in Leicester, England and I had a hard time finding them. In any case, I'm back in Canada now where they're all available and at a great price! :)
OMG I am sooo glad I found you on youtube. It is a pleasure listening to you speak and the knowledge you impart is soooo helpful. I cannot count the number of products I have tried on my skin to help it while on accutane. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sharing this and helping my skin !
bonjour, hello, i'm from france, i used to work in parapharmacie 3 years !! j'ai appris tous mes basiques en pharmacie, et mes marques préférés sont NUXE, CAUDALIE ET LIERAC, aprés il ya aussi les marques plus specialisée , avéne, vichy, la roche posay etc ...
I went to Paris this week for Valentines and quickly watched this video just before I went. My husband booked our hotel and I was ecstatic to discover that we were staying yards away City Pharm, what bliss! Thank you Lisa for the video and your list of fave items.
I love your skin care videos, I started using Dermalogica skin resurfacing after watching your video and it has literally changed my life!! my skin has never felt or looked better within 2 weeks daily use and it was not at all irritating for my sensitive skin, I'm really interested in Bioderma!
omg lisa i'm from brasil and im just flattered with your channel, I use to take roacutan and with your channel i've learned a lot how to treat my sensitive/rosacea skin thank you so much
You are such a joy to watch. I love your elegance yet casual way of filming (it almost feels like we are in the room with you). I would LOVE to see an updated video on your current favorite products since it's been over a year since your last one. I would also like to see an updated skincare routine as I'm sure you know all about the best products out there! Thanks Lisa!
Lisa its a testament to how nice you are that I have just watched a video about all the things you like to buy from French pharmacies when you are on one if your many trips to Paris and I still want to watch you. Loved this video! Xx
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre nourishing moisturiser is the best night cream I have used so far. Only about 17 euros and lasts for ages thanks to its semi-liquid texture, for all skins. Fabulous!
it's like you read my mind! I've been getting into french pharmacy skincare so I am very much in love with this video. Fortunately, Korean drug stores happen to carry a lot of these brands so I'll be able to sample over the next few months, thank you soooo much!
My dermatologist recommend I use Bioderma or Avene. They are excellent products and you can usually find them in pharmacies any where in the world. I bought a Nuxe lip balm today and a hand cream, looking forward to using both 😊
Love your videos. I live in Canada, and the rexall pharmacy sells at least a couple of the brands you mentioned, including Bioderma and Nuxe, in case anyone was wondering.
Your videos are always a treat, and I just savor all the information you share! I visited Paris a couple of years ago, getting to go again and I can't wait to indulge is more French skincare!
My mom gave me a bottle of Nuxe dry oil and I am in love with it. The scent is so lovely. I can't wait until I get to use it every morning. It's something that I'm going to stay stocked up on for the rest of my life I think!
Love your video’s and can’t believe this video is 10 years old😱 I remember watching it when it came online.. Is there anyway you could do an updated French pharmacy video and/or skincare video? With all new things I’m curious to your opinion :) Lots of love
Hi Lisa, it's very nice to see your video about french products because I'm french and I know all the products! I recommand also the brand Nuxe with reve de miel. It's really great!!
I just received my Bioderma samples the company sent me - soooo excited! thank you Lisa for pointing me and my hyper sensitive skin to these products!!!
Hi Lisa! Fantastic video. As the spring is coming and the sun also, would you consider doing an update video about sunscreens? I loved the one you did a year ago and I would like to hear if there is some new sunscreen /aftersun products. Thank you.
Only went one time into a pharmacy at CC Temps in Paris and was overwhelmed by the variety of skin care brands. And they don't mind you browsing around. Loved it! Next time time I'm there I'll stock up with some things, compared to Germany most things also cost at lot less.
Lisa! I'm so happy to hear I'm not the only one who has an obsession with chemist shops in other countries! It drives my husband mad, as he can't understand why I'd go in if I don't need something. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you thank you thank you. When the video came out I was so happy to see something like the effaclar H. I runned to the pharmacy and bought it. I haven't regret it for a second. You saved my life!
Great information. Always interested in good quality non-gimicky skincare products. Please do another one on those other products you said you love but didn't want to babble on for ever about. Thank you !
Skip forward to 2017 lol, I'm so pleased we get and I've used all these brands here with the exception of the Garancia product. Great video, still relevant.
For those of you who want to find a pharmacy in Paris with a wide range of brands, there is the pharmacy section in the Monoprix next to Blanche station (near the Moulin Rouge). It's small but amazing the amount of products and brands they have fit in! It is almost like they put a real french pharmacy in the middle of the supermarket! Thank you Lisa for this video. I could listen to you all day!
This video is A GOD SEND LISA! Ive been in France since september and I really love having a snoop around the pharmacies here in France and coming across something new and exciting for skin. Ive definitely taken note on the products you've mentioned! thanks a lot X
Thank you Lisa for this video. Yes ! Citypharma is the best address in Paris. I go there quite often to get my products but I didn’t know they had their own brand !!! When I go there, I am usually on a rush after work and it’s so crowdy. Thank you for the information. I’ve just discovered your videos on TH-cam, and I became addict ! You’re such a source of inspiration ! Thank you !
you look amazing in this video and love your hair!! i love watching you do these types of videos i find it so interesting but then i love watching all your video's and your just so insightful
I've been on very severe medication for my acne for about half a year now and really, the Effaclar H has become my new best friend!! I'm definately going to buy more of the range!
Hi Lisa! I have been you followers for a while and I really like your very fresh approach to make up and skincare! I would like to have an updated version of this video which I found very interesting! xx
You could try alternating them? Keep Effaclar for when you have bad breakouts and use it to help clear them. Effaclar is great. If it feels too drying switch back to Toleriane. Just an idea X
I don't go on and on and praise a products very often but I just purchased the Bioderma Sensibio H2O (formerly Crealine H2O) - my goodness. What a fantasic makeup remover. It removed everything; my mascara, lipstick, Revlon colorstay foundation. Thank you so much for recommending this, Lisa! Brilliant product. I am now discovering how great Bioderma is.
Such excellent advice! I confirm: every skincare lover must visit Citypharma while in Paris! It is busy and noisy, but when you know what you want, they stock so many brands at a bargain price! Loved it and will return next time I am there. x
Fab video! Just came back from Paris where I purchased bioderma, its fabulous on my crazy skin. Also thought Id take a leaf out of ur book and try something new. Thanks so much for breaking down and make the pharmacies less intimidating.
Your so lovely and relatable, so many make up artists that you see have such over the top make up that its hard to take them seriously, where as you keep that's very natural and still manage to looking stunning :) thank you for this great review, i love french skincare xxx
Yay, I love these vids! I can buy any of these products and I like that you give a nice review on them. What would you recommend for dry skin, but still had large pores around the nose? It's bugging me..
adore your makeup here! well, actually, i adore your makeup anywhere! it's perfect. a slightly winged liner but an overall clean and fresh classic look! drroool
Oh my gosh Lisa! Caudalie is my most loved lip balm, I first got it in the late 90's and lost it, I'd been searching for it ever since and just ordered it from the US! I can still remember the smell and texture on my lips - I can't wait for it to arrive!
La Roche Posay products are FANTASTICK! Ive sold them and have been trained in them and after six years of seeing customer results.. just amazing.. they are micronized and so they immediately go into the dermis and dont give the skin any time ro over react to any of it. their products are formulated for ultra ultra sensitive skin..the physiologil scrub is amazing .. it PH balances the skin as well..they now have just come out with a under eye cream for darkness and discolration called Pigment Clair eye.. I cant wait to try it! I am 48 and am currently enrolled to become an Estetichian and pursue my passion for cosmetic artistry as well..if you would like to like my Facebook page type in Lillyannsplace in your browser.. Click on Timeless Beauty and watch my journey to my new life .. Thanks Lisa.. your an inspiration !!
Love, love, love your makeup in this video!!! you look beautiful as always!!! Can you tell us what lipstick are you wearing? it is lovely!!! Have a great week and thanks for all your videos!!!!
This is an older video but one which I welcome; between Lisa Eldridge and Justine Leconte i get the best possible advice. I was on a teaching exchange at the Sorbonne, also in the early '90s, lived there for about 3 years. One must adapt to Parisian culture, which like New York, Berlin, Venice are islands in their own way. There is a ceremony when entering a shop; you acknowledge each other and if your accent is acceptable then the conversation will continue in French. The French are very direct, all of them, I was addicted to the Table Ronde, a television series called Apostrophes hosted by Bernard Pivot where everyone spoke at the same time; had to relearn my manners when returning to an anglophone environment. As in Italy if you are trying something on in a shop the salesperson will follow you into the dressing room, not because of distrust but to see if the garment fits etc. So it's a kind of civility. The French are very different from, say the US; they spend a lot of money on skin care and also go to great lengths to appear as if they're not wearing makeup, which can be a formidable task. Very fond memories and life-long friends; hope someone happens on this wonderful video and takes a chance! By contrast, my time in Lausanne involved almost exclusively ex-patriots from somewhere or other, but there the walk around Lac Geneve which could easily last a day was enchanting. Thank you Lisa!
The City-Pharma pharmacie in St Germain des Prés is really good. I'm a Parisian girl and I go there to buy every single of my products, and plus they sell them cheaper than any ordinary pharmacie ! But I know another one which is reaaaally cheap. It's called "Pharmacie Treignier", and is at 92-94 Boulevard Lefebvre, in the 15th arrondissement. They always do a lot of promotions on a lot of products :) ! Kisses from Paris !
Very informative video with a couple of products I'll certainly check our on my next trip to France! I love to see that I am not the only one to visit the French pharmacies while on holiday there ;) My sister lives there and she thinks it's weird (but she in turn craves for certain Dutch stores). Also: French healthfoodstores usually carry a nice assortment of French organic skincare products. If you can find it, check out Florame (they have a store in Le Marais)!
Hi Lisa! thanks so much for this video, I'm going to Paris next week, and i really want to buy some nice skincare. Im 19 years old, with a bit of acne but really sensitive and dry skin at the same time. Do you have any advice on a product i should buy? Thanks for your lovely video's! I love watching them allthough i am a guy. Greatings from Holland!
adore your videos! heading to france this summer and can't wait to buy some of these products, are there any particular french products that deal with discolouration well, or would the anti redness ones do the trick? thank you!
I absolutely love your tutorials and, admire all the knowledge you have of beauty products from all around the world! It's so interesting and educational. Your such a beautiful breath of fresh air! God bless you!
I was so glad that I decided to splurge and try the Bioderma. It is absolutely the best makeup remover that I've ever tried. It actually leaves my skin feeling better conditioned and moisturized after using it.
Merci beaucoup for your tips lisa! I will be doing some shopping in this pharmacie in st-germain that you mentioned! I am living in paris for almost a year now and totally loving this city!!
la roche posay's rosaliac cream is the absolute best face cream i've found for my pale, reactive (acne- AND eczema-prone) skin. i bought it on a whim from CVS here in the US, and i'll never go back. i cut it with a cheaper moisturizer (aveeno ultra calming) to make it last longer, but it's truly "saved" my face. glad to hear similar recommendations from someone who uses it (i hesitate to try new things because i have so many fragrance allergies). THANKS for the tips!
I love how you're like "Oh I was just with Kate." Like that's no big deal! Haha, I love you AND Kate Winslet! You're a very lucky woman to live that kind of livestyle--so jealous!
Lisa - haven't be able to leave comments for ages. love the chanel pinks look you created on the website and also your red lkips video for the fashion awards evening you went to. I love french pharmacies and have always looked in them since i was 15 years old ! your hair is very pretty, who cuts it for you ? I have wavy hair too and have been searching for a good hairdresser in SW london for a very long time... any reccommendations for reasonable salons appreciated.
Thanks so much for sharing, can't wait to go to City Pharma in Paris. You're absolutely beautiful & talented Miss Elridge. I also miss Kevyn Aucoin, but it's comforting to know that his works inspired many of us.
Hi Lisa, can you do a video for US drug stores faves and some ideas for combination skin? I'm looking for a light moisturizer for summer and I have typical typical combination skin with some uneven skin tone. There are so many to choose from as far as brands that my head hurts. I would love if you could narrow it down for me. I love your videos. I like the when you talk about the science of it all as well. Thank you again.
I realise this is an old video and you probably don't have time to read silly youtube comments but thank you so much for this video.
I tried a couple of the products you mention and my very sensitive/acne prone/rosacea covered skin has cleared up for the first time in 26 years!

You are so intelligent and beautiful! I love listening to you speak because you are full of knowledge!
all those brands are very easy to get in Canada. It's a little weird that some of those are impossible to get in the UK even though theyre neighbors.
We can get them in the uk, but it's just more expensive .. A cheaper option would be to pick them up in Paris if we take the train or a flight to Paris xx
bbutterfly36 nup all available, just cheaper over the border

I love your videos Lisa. You're always professional, accurate & goes to the point. Thanks
adore your videos! heading to france this summer and can't wait to buy some of these products, are there any particular french products that deal with discolouration well, or would the anti redness ones do the trick? thank you!
I absolutely love your tutorials and, admire all the knowledge you have of beauty products from all around the world! It's so interesting and educational. Your such a beautiful breath of fresh air! God bless you!
Lisa, I am a avid fan and adore your videos. Which serums do you rate highly?
Really keen to try some of these products, thank you for this video :) hopefully I can find a few when I go to Dieppe in the summer!
Pleaseee do an elegant Parisian makeup look
I was so glad that I decided to splurge and try the Bioderma. It is absolutely the best makeup remover that I've ever tried. It actually leaves my skin feeling better conditioned and moisturized after using it.
Effaclar H saved my skin when I over-dried it with all that acne-related products. Excellent brand in general.
You look super nice with today's makeup!!
Finally someone else out there that loves French pharmacies. They have the best skin care products. Great video.
Merci beaucoup for your tips lisa! I will be doing some shopping in this pharmacie in st-germain that you mentioned! I am living in paris for almost a year now and totally loving this city!!
Next time I go to Paris I'll be on the lookout for these. I love your videos.
la roche posay's rosaliac cream is the absolute best face cream i've found for my pale, reactive (acne- AND eczema-prone) skin. i bought it on a whim from CVS here in the US, and i'll never go back. i cut it with a cheaper moisturizer (aveeno ultra calming) to make it last longer, but it's truly "saved" my face. glad to hear similar recommendations from someone who uses it (i hesitate to try new things because i have so many fragrance allergies). THANKS for the tips!
the nail polish in this video is Dior's Incognito #257 I'm wearing it a lot at the moment, it's very easy and goes with everything x
Yes nuxe lipbaum is amazing
I’ve used the moisturising sorbet before. Don’t know if it gave me any skin benefits but the formulation and the scent were lovely.
Hi Lisa, I was wondering if you had any tips of what I could add into my skin care routine to help get rid of and prevent blackheads please?! x
