Freanch pharmacy brands are great for their simplicity! I always go back to something like La Roche Posay or Avène when my skin is on a bad mood! Sometimes that's all one needs! There is a very interesting french brand called Biologique Recherche. Over the web they are known for the Lotion P50, an acid toner to rebalance and exfoliate the skin on a daily basis. They have quite unique approach to skincare because instead of focusing on skin types they recommend products according to the skin instant. I recently had a Skin Instant test on a spa where water and oily levels, elasticity and pigmentation were measured, and started the recommended treatment. I have to say the products are quite interesting, I can feel them working on my skin and the smell tells a lot about the high concentrations of active ingredients. My face cream for instance smells like yeast and bread dough, and the mask is pure yeast extract. Great results in a few weeks period, a smother texture but manly an improved skin tone as if the circulation has increased and my and the complexion has a pinky tone. However theres one recommended product I haven't bought which is the serum from a line of the brand called Quintecential Serums. Supposedly they are very concentrated and very ingredient specific but 94€ for a serum (30 ml) that is manly water and Laminaria Digitata extract is something I can't understand. I wonder about the concentrations used by other brands trying to understand this price tag. I think that it would be a very interesting topic of discussion of whether or not single (or very specific ingredient) products are worth the value. Maybe it can lead to better results that something that tries to be a multi tasker (?); Are our needs on a medium period of time more specific that what we might think? Is the industry too influenced by the principle of throwing everything in the formula hoping some concern will covered?
deathvalleyfob My first concealer was one from Avene that comes in a pen format. Never used anything tinted on my face at the time and I remember it was very easy to apply and super low profile. Plus it did a great job covering my light dark circles. Bobby brown Brighting Eye Concealer is also very good and it's 28€ for 7ml. It easily lasts 8 months! Hope this helps :)
deathvalleyfob it really depends on the kind of dark circles you have. Try to gently press them with your finger and if you see them become a little lighter as it was the circulation flowing under the skin then any product that boost circulation will help you. Look corn coffee extract in your eye products. Origins ginseng eye cream works very well. However if when you press them they stay dark then it is pigmentation and in that case vitamin C can help but I would also look for vitamin K. Peter Thomas Roth has a very good although quite expensive eye cream with a good amount of V K. If you're willing to start with something more affordable La Roche Posay has a well formulated vitamin C cream dedicated to the eye area.
Hi Trinny, I had a house for nine years in France, I agree that their pharmacies are fabulous & I also got carried away with buying stuff! The quality of products is amazing, fortunately for us we can get some products here now. Thank you for all information you give us x💚X
Love the French pharmacy brands. They're available in most pharmacies here in Ireland too. LRP has my favourite chemical sunscreen-the Antherlios XL dry touch cream/gel, love the Serozinc for preventing any breakouts, and Avene make a great soothing and cooling mask I use if my skin gets a little too peely and irritated from Retin A -the soothing moisture mask.
I was "detoxing" my bathroom cabinet following Trinny's video and I found an almost empty bottle of Hexomedine and a new one of course! Discovered when I was 13 on my first French exchange (along with Sisley Eau Florale - not pharmacy I know! 🙄) It is the French equivalent of TCP. Great for teenage spots or breakouts. I'm still using and swearing by at 45!
You are a lovely women to watch! I live in Canada! All these French products are available plus several more. Love your videos and content. Please continue to post amazing content! Hugs!
I like the authentic Trinny video without blah blah expensive production. It’s much more personal. A very attractive shop like shops in Europe so often are. Menton for example.
Hi Trinny, new subie here, you're fun to watch! One remark though, you posted on the comment box "French pharmacies never fail to disappoint". I think you meant never disappoint, right? I lived near in Geneva for many years and this views are very dear to me (It looks a bit like Megeve). Whenever I go to France I check the pharmacies but the product I can't live without is found in supermarkets. the soap bars and liquid soaps by Le Petit Marseillais. xx
Nice recommendations, I have used Bioderma cleanser and Embryolisse milk, and now just recently bought from Boots UK Embryolisse Artist Secret Smooth Radiant Complexion (Secret De Maquilleurs) and I really like it. It says on the leaflet with it that they worked with the most important complexion experts in Japan to develop it. (so that must be a good thing)!
Absolute heaven!! Watching this tour is the next best thing to losing myself in a pharmacy in France in person :-). What were the websites that you said sell the majority of these products? (A tiny 'tsk' for not using including the 'u' in 'favourite' as us Brits would naturally spell it!) Thanks for the video!
Oh my. Just when we thought you couldn't get any cooler, you rattle off in sexy French (well, even if only to ask whether they had that thing). Aaaargh... Trinny, you're just so amazing! :)
Funny i bumped into this vidéo I now live in France but honestly your face cream is way better than the french makes. So merci beaucoup for your lovely skin and make up trinny london and it lasts 9 months your product.❤❤ ps nuxe not good at all
I am a big Bioderma fan! Much cheaper in France. Website you mention is Escentual.com. They often do promotional discounts on the French brands they stock
Haha so funny ! You really have to improve using your Phone camera. Or I have to improve reading in a mirror ! Yes our pharmacies are so great ! Love your videos.
I love Weleda - a fabulous all-natural brand from Germany.

I live outside a little town of about 1500 people, we have exactly the same products with the same amount on the shelves. Love it.
I like the authentic Trinny video without blah blah expensive production. It’s much more personal. A very attractive shop like shops in Europe so often are. Menton for example.
Love your selection . Btw "Bio" means "organic" so it 's the organic range of products from Nuxe.
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Ive used many of the same products as well and love them. That Weleda pine bath milk is my obsession.
Your soothing voice and beautiful accent draw me in as much as the awesome product reviews!
How amazing.Great content and informative as always.
you have such a lovely voice, trinny. you should do audiobooks!!
Now that you say it, I think so too.. :) Perhaps she should do makeup ads on TV
I had a feeling that wasn't France from the mountains! I recognized the pharmacy immediately, did you make a stop at Taillens afterwards? Best, Lara x

I live in France, the Avène tinted compact is a staple for me in the summer!
You are great but please improve the video quality.

I love the Creme Fraiche Mask, but can't find it in the UK!
Jayne Baker Such a pity!
What joy!!! A beauty travelogue 💋
Weleda almond oil is great for the face. :)
I'd love the same videos but filmed horizontally...
Dr Hauschka was inspired to start the brand after he heard Dr Rudolph Steiner from Weleda give a talk!!
Adore all your videos.
Why pharmacies goes according to brands in Shelves rather then according their uses
Most of those products are east to get in Canada.
The text is in the mirrow so it's not possible to see what it is
love your videos there so hopefully xxx

Don’t open products if you are not going to buy them
Pst… Weleda is German LOL

I think French toiletries are ridulously expensive. I feel you are paying for the priviledge.
