Definately worth restoring, nothing is imposible. My bug was worse than that , now going and registered. Have made 60 video's about its resto so far, on my channel . Still doing mods .
I could be wrong but I’ve learned that a lot of the under/sub structure of these Valiants (not just the running gear and basic shape) is common to the American mopars like the Barricuda.
When I restored my 1971 e38, I fitted a brake booster. I know only too well non boostered Valiants don't stop, they just show down, and that's with you standing on the brakes.
Cheers mate. If you ever come across some more info on it let my know. Otherwise i have my infobase registered sticker ready to go on it when we get glass.
Working round Tarcoola in the 70s the vals were the go, wind up the torsion bars and "what corrugations?". Drum brakes often dissassembled themselves but.
there is a vip wagon out at bonnie rock that has disk brake front end that's out in the bush it is rough but the spindles should be good to go ask around at the local pub and im sure one of the bar flies can point you in the right direction i salvaged the tailgate and bumpers years ago

Drop it back in the creek , it's going to be a big headache to find parts, Maybe all the people that voted for the build need to front up and donate the parts needed , probably have them sitting in a shed for 30 + years covered in dust , well clean them off your not going to use them and help build the shit box you voted for BRO into a classic again and be proud that your parts have not rusted away, but have saved a classic from the tip , all the best
Had my pacer since 86 man and only now people are chasing them they are a very cool car and easy to maintain pity ford and Holden over run them in the day but that's advertising budget lol hopefully some will survive after I'm long gone even if they are a man cave ornament or like a painting from BC era lol keep them all in existence all brands :)
The 69 valiant pacer from the movie Wog Boy. th-cam.com/video/SEDj5i5_LmI/w-d-xo.html. The whole movie is worth watching , just in case you havent seen it
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....:-((
This could get more political than you imagine. Nice of you to post what some of us know already what the Greenies want and are trying to achieve. Here in Australia it's following the same way to rid old cars, some of us are hanging on strong to an automotive industry that supplies many jobs and good friendships, I'm not about to believe the old car culture will live forever either thanks to polies and greenies.
Keen to see this build, any sign of the dashtop tacho?
Interesting car. It would be nice to see that one restored to good condition!
All going well we should end up with a clean steerter
It's amazing that you're Australian 1969 valiant is almost identical to our American 1967 Plymouth valiant..
So keen to see this project get underway
So glad you’re finally getting into this thing 👌🏻
G'Day, Back in the 70's we used to Cruise the streets of Perth WA in a Burgundy CH Regal Hardtop,it was such a Stunning Car, My Mates Dad got it for him as a 21st gift!
Would be great to see the old Val being a pacer even better can’t wait to see you get started on the old girl cheers 🍻
Yeah, really looking forward to getting stuck in to this one
Easiest way to get a VF front bumper is from a late model Valiant. Same bumper was again reused on the CL - CM Valiants.
I believe the mounting holes are slightly different, but you're right, they're the same bar.
I had a dark blue one in 1981 with black trim 👍🏻🇦🇺
Pacer very cool, this is going to be very cool

Its not to bad
Hopefully we can help you out with it
Dirty thumbs up 👍🍺
A lot better then anticipated.
Already looking forward to this project. Just a thought. Maybe Coopz Cars might be able to assist. He's a Chrysler man with a lot of knowledge!
Love them cars worth big bucks now looking forward to the rebuild 💯👍

G'day mate, l say go for it, you can put it back in the creek after you have had some real fun, can't wait for the next update, cheers, Neil 🤠.
I could be wrong but I’ve learned that a lot of the under/sub structure of these Valiants (not just the running gear and basic shape) is common to the American mopars like the Barricuda.
A lot of it is, hence you can get new parts for them.
A contact that might be a good source of info would be A Bloke in a Troopy as he shows lots of barn finds and bush wreck around Australia
He has found a few goodies alright
Started my apprenticeship in 1977 and fitted a lot of PBR VH40 vacuum brake boosters to early model Valiants. Seen one in your Pacer.
Thats awesome dude, they where a pretty universal unit.
If ya didn't have boosted brakes ya couldn't stop them.
I did complete installations including making brake lines from scratch.
When I restored my 1971 e38, I fitted a brake booster. I know only too well non boostered Valiants don't stop, they just show down, and that's with you standing on the brakes.
Super solid project
It surprised me even how solid it was.
Outback pacer 2 door got a lot of love from mopar heads, would be good to see this running as is before the full resto
Sick work mate. Looking good on the run down.
Look forward seeing you resto this Pacer
Cheers mate. If you ever come across some more info on it let my know. Otherwise i have my infobase registered sticker ready to go on it when we get glass.
Like to see the car getting back to the new pacer will be fun
Look it is hopeless, I will come and pick it up and you can start another project, I’m like a guardian angel and I am here to
help! Bloody valiants!

Just stumbled across this channel...if I see further progress...I'll end up subscribing:)
Thanks for stopping by. We are not quite weekly uploads yet, but we do like to get jobs done when we can.
just sub anyway it's worth it
I'd never discourage anyone from restoring a car. Just go for, the bones of a good machine are there.
VF Pacer man! Totally worth it!!
An old Aussie Mopar. Good project car. It's almost looks like its American counterpart: the Plymouth Valiant. Greetings from the U.S.

cheers mate, many vh to cm had disks.
This look interesting and a great project for you, all the best with it, will be following this build fro sure

Very cool!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
That’s awesome mate 👌

I can't see why you couldn't get it restored, you have done other floors, all the best to you and your loved ones
Dave Cooper in Leeton probably has the parts. He's on TH-cam as Coopzcarz

This car reminds me of the movie Duel(1971) Stephen Spielberg movie, truck chases car similar to this
Ill have to check it out.
Great movie. Yeah it was a Plymouth Valiant of similar vintage.
can get sleave kits for the reinforcing the front rail an easy to do yaself
Must nearly be driveable by now ;) :)
Any updates on some of the other cars you've passed onto other fixxer upperer peoples??
Def restore!
I think Graham needs to do a road trip with his angle grinder and welder
I know right. He is only a phone call way though and gonna be a huge help when it comes time to do the floor.
@@AutomotiveKarnage tell him you found an abandoned tank 😂😂😂
The Bathurst cars had 4 banger carbies.
Thats interesting. What 4 cylinder did they use?
That Pacer can be saved mate and a slant 6 in the USA beat a hell cat at the drags it's on youtube.
Yes !
I believe you where one of the pacer voters too.
