Meanwhile, George North, offering strips of raw bacon to the wolfmen while listening to what cute thing Carlos said that morning: boy what a nice day it is today. night vale sounds so pleasant. maybe once I finish feeding the wolfmen I'll go head over to the lake, since no one has warned me against either of these things :)
oh my gosh I forgot that people in vermillion falls are listening to Cecil so George isn't hearing the warnings 😆
wolf men in america you say? ok here’s how the magnus archives welcome to night vale crossover can still win-
LMAO. As someone whose two favorite podcasts are those that got a laugh out of me
OH YES, PLEASE!
@@IsaGh0stsame
I hope they bring this back in some way in the near future. Man can we get a Vermilion Falls podcast?
Also:
Him: STOP PETTING THE WOLF MEN! I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF!
Nightvale Residents: ???? Wrong town?????
This guy has a great late night radio voice, very relaxing.
The sport section was really good.
I think I'd like Vermillion Falls, sounds laid back.
"You don't wanna be a wolfman"
You clearly don't know me at all, sir.
I mean,he is no Cecil but I like him and want to hear more from Vermillion Falls from time to time ^^
Early part of this episode gave Dog Park vibes when Night Vale first started.
Interesting listen, tapping into Mid-west and NE USA folklore, monsters and conspiracies
i thought the same thing about the first part having Dog Park vibes! i was half-expecting the whole episode to reflect the first episode 😂
Well, we did have a canceled Wednesday here too 😂
It's good to remind ourselves that while we're caught up in our own lives, other people have their struggles too.
While we're worrying about librarians and Street Cleaning day, other people have to worry about wolfmen, the man from the lake and George.
Honestly, George is probably a universal worry.
Regardless, be kind bc everyone has to worry about a George... and other stuff too.
As soon as the episode started I went "Excuse me." But as a native midwesterner myself, this was great xD rude to surprise me like that without even saying ope though
That was a fun episode. It reminds me of some of the early episodes.
Also, i wanna pet a wolfman
George no! There will be consequences
Wolfmen have rights too, stop being so intolerant, if someone wants to give their favorite wolfie skritches and tummy rubs, who are you to stop them? ;)
@@MacTechG4 fair
@@MacTechG4 well, I think we should ask the wolfman if they want to be pet before petting them, but yes
@@Matheus-ql7mn exactly, what two consenting sentient beings do together is none of anyone else’s business.
All these years 💜
I'm just imagining nightvale getting these warnings about the wolfmen and someone faithfully delivering the message to Cecil who dutifully passes the message on and muses about how "back in my town, George North would've been arrested by the secret police long before he managed to become wolfmen" and slowly going on tangents realizing how similar they are and what would actually happen if that happened in nightvale
I'm from the Pacific Northwest and this place gives hella Gravity Falls vibes. I wanna live there. It sounds like a place I'd find nestled amongst the misty trees when I'm lost on my way to some hike deep in the gorge or something, where Bigfoot lives.
Just gotta keep an …eye… out for Bill Cipher, you think the Wolfmen are bad? Bill makes them look like a cuddly little Multi-Bear…
Idn’it probably in Minnesota tho?
@@xochi98yeah, Minnesota is more Midwest than PNW but there are some overlaps
This is the third time I have listened to this since it dropped last night. So delightful and close to home. Although, the real modwesterners know that what you really have to worry about is in the corn. And if the corn is gone, whatever is in there can see you
I gotta cousin who saw the nein rouge once
To anyone of a similar mind to me: the coordinates given as the location of Vermillion Falls are, in our reality, a baseball diamond behind a middle school in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis.
Additionally, there is an actual waterfall in Minnesota called Vermillion Falls, located in the town of Hastings, MN, which is southeast of St. Paul on US Route 10.
Thank you. Came to the comments for exactly this info
I hope we will get more vermillion falls episodes in the future.
Oh absolutely LOVE this idea. I hope we'll hear more from Vermillion Falls in the future!
So we have Night Vale, Desert Bluffs (Too), Pine Cliffs, Red Mesa and now Vermillion Falls. Bit of a pattern there.
1.) Night Vale
2.) Desert Bluffs
3.) Cactus Park
4.) Desert Bluffs
5.) Desert Bluffs Too
6.) Pine Cliff
7.) Red Mesa
8.) Sand Plains
9.) Stone Meadow
10.) The Underground City
11.) The Whispering Forest (town)
12.) Nulogorsk
13.) the underground city.
14.) Vermillion Falls
The tragic thing is that George North may very well have heeded Frank's warning- if Frank hadn't been broadcasting to Night Vale instead of Vermillion Falls.
1. Fantastic stuff and very Minnesotan
2. TD Mischke, the radio voice, also recently released a book called "A Winters Song: A hymn to the North" which is quite entertaining particularly on the dark northern nights
AAAAAA! This episode made me so happy! As a Midwestern fella from Michigan I really really enjoyed this!
The University of What It Is would probably jot down the Wolfmen as furries LARPing a little too hard
My brain cannon: Vermillion Falls is in between Yellow Springs Ohio and the Hocking Hills but you can't get there from any road running through or around either. People who have fallen to their "deaths" in the Hocking Hills live in Vermillion Springs now in the same way that people "just drive" to Nightvale.
They have an orange farmer who has never raised a successful crop. Jack Pennington, you know, the orange farmer.
Picture this:
I have exactly 1 hour before I need to leave for work. I Settle down to play some video games. Turning the volume to 0 to make way for nightvale in my mental capacity. Identifying as a midwestern cryptid, I listen to Joseph convince me to buy sweaters. Smiling as I leave the shop in my game I hear the opening and my jaw drops, so do my controllers. The "helloo" was so on it
New episode? New sister city? Dang, what a wonderful day!
Boy I wish there were some wolfmen around here to pet. I'd sure be friends with those wolfmen, wolfmenmen, and wolfmenwoman.
The sports featured some really great athleticism today, those players really gave it their all.
Love, love, LOVE! this episode. Really hope it's a backdoor pilot.
I'm caught up and I get to catch an episode minutes after it premiered? Is it Christmas?
Probably not. Christmas should involve more meat crowns and gathering under the mistletoe to smile for The Smiling God.
As a Midwesterner I'm so excited there's a new silly little town in the world of WTNV :D
This gave me such strange nostalgia for visiting my grandparents and I can't explain why.
Ah! I loved this episode so much! I adore the normal style and of course Night Vale itself, but this was such an interesting shift and the voice actor was perfect. The episode sounded like Gemini Home Entertainment's Nature documentary episodes and I love that.
Love this! We need more from Vermillion Falls!
I'd tune in to this as well. More of this as well please! Also him trying to get threw to a guy who was listening to something else today was a great touch
I would like to pet the wolfmen.
i really like his voice you should keep him around and do more with him
now we have 3 towns to tune into. awesome!
one of my faves so far
The Mid-West has the Dogman! I feel like this is hinting at that. The Dogman, from what I understand, lives and hunts around the Great Lakes.
Does The Man Who Lives Upstairs know The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your House?
Bro my AirPods disconnected at 1:33 and I thought it was a joke
NEW STATION JUST DROPPED!
I wonder if We'll ever get an Avengers moment with all of them at once.
What a sweet, lovely episode!
WE LOVE THIS!!! More!!! Now!!! Forever!!! 😈
I love you nightvale❤😢😊 you heal my human body trapped soul.
would love to hear more from Vermillion Falls sometime! It sounds lovely and very interesting ^w^ TD's voice is also very soothing, i dare say i even prefer it a little bit over Cecil's!
Midwest represent!!!!!!
Well, I want to know more about Vermillion Falls now!
Oh this was great
His voice kind of reminds me of a midwestern rod serling which is cool 😎
Thank you guys for continuing to make this wonderful show, we appreciate you ❤️
Not sure if I'm the only one who actually looked up the coordinates he provided in Google Maps, but it appears to be in the school field shared by Hidden Valley Elementary and Eagle Ridge Middle Schools in Savage, Minnesota, just south and west of Minnesota.
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY GLOW CLOUD
I loved this one! You guys could make a contest for people to send similar episodes from other cities around the world!
The episode in the podcasts apps have the credits at the beginning of the episode!
Loving this episode
That was such a fun episode!!
Yay, My night has become full❤❤❤
lol awesome episode
I am... I am now fully caught up. After 4? 5? maybe 6 years? What do I do now? Wait for new ones to come out? I've never been here before...
But what is night vale
@@hyeronymus The podcast..?
I didn't even know how much I wanted to be a wolfman till now
I was sure the anchor was John Barrymore the younger until I checked.
Wait...he's got blue hands, gray fingers, and blue fingernails?
Kinda want to meet this guy.
As long as he gets rid of the stupid bloody tie do not acknowledge his stupid tie, ties suck.
Overall I thought this one was pretty good! I’m excited to see if we hear more from Vermillion Falls. But living in the Midwest and knowing guys who sound like this one, when you hear the word “civilized” come out of his mouth you want to turn tail and run. Especially if you’re not white. Or at least that’s what I want to do, but I work the front desk at my job so there’s no escaping it :,)
That is in no way to say I do not like TD Mischke, he was a very good choice for the voice here✨
The ad rate is so ridiculous
This episode is PERFECTION.
