The first shot of this video, I instantly knew where he's at. That place was awesome in general. Arcades, good food, beach right there and rollercoaster but also there was a skateshop too I believe. I saw some of the skaters at times when I would sit down on the bench and talked to them if they were sponsored. Weather is great too. Always cloudy but never rained. Not so much now from the looks of it but still lol.
friends of mine had the muska brand logo boards from shortys - those were the days.. it was a lot of fun - i had my smolik boards, they had the muska boards, I think I had a muska board, too.. at least onetime. Probably 5 very serious skaters inner circle and probably further 5-10 other skaters who did their stuff also in a more or less serious way, also good skaters but not that inner circle of our friends, still from time to time skating with us. We came from a very small town in central europe and probably our clique were the only skateboard group, who really went into boarding on a pretty serious way in our village. That happened from about 1998 to 2003 - then I stopped boarding. Actually only 5 years for me, but those were intense years. I actually started with skateboarding in the end of the 80s probably 1988-1989, he boards werent popsicles back in the days but still able to do tricks - I was in the beginning and not even ready for an ollie - I was riding those oldschool boards until 1993 or 1994 (there were already the newschool popsicle-boards available, I was still riding the oldschool boards) and at least Ollie was more or less working, not good, just the idea of it. but it was okay - IT WAS A TOTALLY FUNY TIME. Even so I didnt take it serious, just for fun and not that often. In 1997 I lived in a very small hood in a very small village, in our hood there were at least a lot of young guys in my age and even younger, they already skated and I considered to restart. After a while we watched FULFILL THE DREAM. That "movie", that skate-video ELEVATED a lot!! From that time on, our group of idiots.. we took it very serious - a little bit grafitti, a little bit skateboarding, a little bit acting stupid and annoying grown ups in our region - the regular idiocracy kids do. But skating went hard - we went in, a lot. And I can say, we were not bad skaters, a lot of motivation, a lot of competition.. and a lot of idiotic ideas. It was very funny, it was an adventurious time - everything looked special and new. We had skateshops in neighbor-towns, probably 25 kilometers away - and yeah - we visted these shops quite often to get news, accessories, boards, clothing, things you wanted as a young person. We didnt have cars, some of us and older ones had cars and they often took us to trips, but otherwise we went by train and bus to different spots and towns for skate-sessions. It was a great time! Now I am 42.. quite older - didnt skate in years, still doing sports (volleyball, biking, etc) now a young friend of mine, he is skating, remembered me about skateboarding and the fun behind it. And yeah.. he convinced me - today I bought my skate-helmet and soon I will order a board, already know which one (more or less). I am 42.. no more a teenager or young adult, so I am no more willing to kill myself - I will not ride like I did in my early 20ys or at the end of my teen-years, of course not. - But hey, a little bit cruising, trying to do some ollies and flip-tricks - very relaxed, no more sessions like back in the days, but hey - I guess its still a fun thing. Long text, no sense: Peter Smolik, Chad Muska, Rodney Mullen and others, those were our heroes. First we watched a lot of skateboard-videos, then we went outside with the boards. It was a cool time - Thanks to all of those pro-skaters, who did videos - without them, we probably would never tried so hard. Now I can say: There are a lot of nice memories left.

I used to only skate with Muska on Tony Hawk pro skater on the the dreamcast back in the day lol...that was my jam
When the 1st time i play tony hawk pro skater 2, chad muska and jamie thomas is my hero. And yeah i decided to buy board, since then i skate a lot, now im 33 and in the middle east, i skate whenever i have freetime.
Andrew is my favourite skater. Love to see his transition in sobriety
My all time favorite skater from my childhood. Love you Muska
Had those Chad muskas with the hidden sack slip in the younger, those and the kostons were my favorite shoes when I was young
Shout out to Kareem Campbell 4:10
My favorite skater from my childhood in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷! I remember i had his skateboards as well. Pretty good times for sure!!
Life passes by so fast, i remember having Muskas Circas and Stevie Williams DCs.. I miss it
His rising sun and Chad muska the ghetto Thugsta boards were my firsts. Definitely on my personal mt. Rushmore of favorite skaters.
Thanks for this, hopefully you can cover the other legends in skate soon too
this guy deserves a movie
I met Muska back in 2002 (I was probably 17 years old) at a skate demo somewhere in San Diego. Cool dude and autographed my Circa shoes. He's my guy on THPS.
I was 4 at that time and got a PS2
Please make more Epicly Laterd'
Thanx to Chad I got into skateboarding ! And Tony Hawk pro skater ! Lol great memories. Thanx great interview
Nobody fades The Muska - not then, not ever. LEGEND and a great human to boot.
Nobody
Loved the boom box and the bookbag
I had the muska board when it 1st came out. I'm old. Ugh.
I was just thinking the same thing 🤣
🤘🏽
I love this guy, he is an artist more than anything, I take so much inspiration from him
just wish this was longer
Chad was definitely a major influence for me back in the day, not that I could emulatehis skating. Never been another brand with the Shortys vibe either.
i’ve sat in the same exact spot as the muska, dope asf
OMG i feel so fuggin old... :/ but chad was my doooood LOL that and Rodney Mullen, man... the damn times go quick... BUT i do still have my Chad Muskalade board ... LOVED it !!! cheers man Flint Mi
Bro this guy is a legend. I still use my shortys bag. Muska was the rockstar on the skate scene.
Would love a pt 2
Super old docu but still gold 🙌🏻
The sweetest looking front side flip ever
Watching this brings me back to my first pair of MUSKA shoes!!!! LEGEND for sure! So. Cal. Palmdale represent!
I'll never forget the Muska shoes with the "stash pocket" hidden/built-in to the tongue of the shoe..
Tony Hawk's Underground comes to mind when I think of him. I still have it on PS2.
I ran around high school with my pants tied up like Muska. Had a Muska deck and Shorty's Tshirts. Loved the Shorty's vibe!
He was my favorite skater growing up! I mean who doesn’t love chad muska!!!
I had the Muska silhouette orange deck back in 2000. man time flies.
Back in the day I was always Chad Muska eventho I respected Tony & it was his game!
I used to get some sick runs especially in the School. I didn't like playing the actual game bc it seemed too clunky!
Instead I went for epic grind - trick - grind non-stop freestyles.
fcuk I loved that game.
3:03 This spot reminds me of the level School II in THPS 2
Legend much respect 👊🏽
Need a longer version!!
The eternal rockstar of skating.
Get Patrick O'Dell on the horn & tell him we need more
