Ok this changed my pov I was thinking that I won’t switch from xim apex to nexus but after seeing this I will give it a try you guys will make a huge difference in the market so be prepared and please try not to be limited on stock and in the last I will say it’s time to say goodbye to scuff and elite controllers you guys are awesome helping out the community

Nice vid! The glow to show when gyro aiming is active is a great idea.
When I did something like this a couple years ago, I was shooting with the bumper instead of the trigger to help with both firing speed and controller stability.
Also, it's worth noting that different scenarios can perform differently. Nerrel and others have tried scenarios with much smaller targets and found they were more accurate with the gyro -- the frictionless-ness of the gyro appears to put gyro aim at an advantage there.
Thanks for the suggestion, using the bumper is a great idea tbh. The main problem i faced when recording this video was that i couldnt comfortably press the trigger as fast as i can aim.
@@XIMCentral quick question. did xim finally add passhtorugh for pc yet? i dont want to be limited to just analog gyro when i am on pc. why does the owner of the xim company think that his analog to gyro translation is better then actual mouse for the gyro. i have 2 xim nexus controllers and they are indeed great. but limiting this device to just analog gyro on pc is just not done when you want to offer the best gyro controller out theire.
@@caleasthetic Yes thats availabe since a few weeks now with the new Nexus beta firmware. You can set the Nexus into "Matrix Mode" which just outputs the gyro data without doing any translation (such as gyro to stick translation). That way you can use your preferred software to map it to the mouse, or use Nexus together with a XIM Matrix which can do that for you (map gyro to mouse).
@@XIMCentral if you set it to matrix mode then what controller will it be recognised on pc. dualshock, dualsense or switch pro controller. only these 3 will work on any input remapper.
@@caleasthetic I havent tried an input remapper on PC yet since i stopped using those a long while ago. Am only using Matrix now to map gyros to mouse on PC (inlcuing Nexus in Matrix Mode) so i am indepenent of input remappers and their compatibility with PC games.
Ohhh now I get it! Silly me, this whole time I thought you were aiming with gyro AND the thumbsticks 😂😂😂 I didn't realise you were aiming exclusively with gyro, makes a lot more sense now and seems so cool, its like an 'air mouse' 🔥💯
Yes exactly, you can also aim with sticks AND the gyro on top of each other though! Thats fully up to you and how you prefer to play! :)
@@XIMCentral can't wait for this to release, its a breath of fresh air in the stagnant gaming industry, will probably do a review if I can get my hands on that 3d controller virtualization software you used in this vid. I don't play so often now, but I'm a pretty experienced Fortnite player so, I could possibly provide gameplays on that if gyro works well in it.
Awesome to hear man, looking forward to that! The 3d visualization is part of the Nexus manager and can be accessed within 1-2 clicks. It has full OBS compatiblity too! :)

I see great potential in gyro aiming if console manufacturers and developers embrace it, because it's sad that office equipment (mouse and keyboard) is more accurate that dedicated gaming gear such as gamepads with analogue sticks. I plug in my xim apex every once in a while, but using mnk for gaming feels like I'm at work in the office. It's a mental barrier for me.

I read you couldn’t pull the trigger as fast as you could aim. The Nexus can be customized to activate the triggers with various draw lengths. By default, it seems motion controls only activate on ADS when at 100% trigger pull, which is just too much. So I set it at 20-30%.

Hey, me again ☺️ just got round to watching this. The controller looks great but I still think the issue would be using the left analogue to move + motion aiming.. Maybe I'm missing something? Very interesting though, especially for controller users. Also your mouse aiming speed has made me feel dizzy 😂 looking forward to the next video!

Implement mouse click triggers for faster clicks, I think some aftermarket companies call them hairtriggers. Also please consider rear pad buttons for jump and crouch etc
yeah hopefully the rear buttons are ergonomic also would be great to see a 1000hz polling rate.

How do you activate the gyro aim for a game like COD where you aim down sights, will it feel smooth and natural?? I use XIM but would much prefer a controller with the swiping feel and more accuracy because I find I play smarter on controller.
You have plenty of different activation methods that will allow you to trigger motion in the most natural way based on the game you are playing. For CoD i would probably prefer motion to kick in while in ADS and prior to HIP shooting.

@@XIMCentral Reason I went K&M in the first place was the aim problems with a controller..but I still preferred the movement with an analog stick so went with the Azeron. This looks like it might solve that completely..I’m in!

How have none of the big console manufacturers got behind this gyro aiming it looks like it could replace thumbsticks for competitive FPS gaming!!
They dont have the Smart Translator technology, thats why. Without that you would need native support or else you have to analyse and train the aim mechanic of each game to provide perfect gyro aiming. Apart from that i fully agree with you, this is such a promising tech and no one ever tried to push it so far.
I've been saying this for years. Ever since the Steam Controller came out. Gyro aiming should be the future of gaming. Not saying it will, but it should.
@@Pun_Solo Absolutly agree, its one of the only tech introductions to controllers that significantly increase its accuracy potential. Something that should have been added a long time ago to help controller users to compete with mouse players.
They also make garbage sticks so people can buy more controllers. Me and my bros have gone through many elite controllers shooting good one day and then complete trash the next. This is actually a great idea but I wonder if they could make a stick with this type of accuracy instead of the gyro.
@@DontHesitate140 it's not that they make garbage sticks, it's that the mechanism required for analog sticks to work is extremely complex and vulnerable to any sort of dust or misuse. In order to make one that wasn't so vulnerable would make it prohibitively expensive.
I hope this thing has a hair trigger design, preferrably like a mouse button. That would be perfect for fps.

Hello! I'm very interested in this product but I need to know will it be compatible with PS5 and PS5 version of the games? Currently we are not abble to use our xim apex with the regular ps5 controller which is required for ps5 game versions. Thank you for your work!
Nexus faces the same problem as Apex in that regard, the XIM Devs are currently looking into the matter to see if there is a workaround. For now you can either use Remote Play or play the PS4 version instead.
If games used independent sensitivities for gyro and analog this would be really good
You can use independent sensitivities for both with Nexus.
Is it possible to get some videos of gyro aim while in ads? i see most of the videos are hip fire, most competive games you will have to aim down sight, this will be the deciding factor for me, although i am sure this will work just as good, be useful to see on like PUBG COD etc.
Hey, i have several videos already uploaded on the channel that will be released in the upcoming days/weeks, those will also show ADS gameplay across most of the popular games right now! In some of them aim assist has even be deactivated to showcase the accuracy of the Nexus controller! :)

Does the motion work more like a mouse when for example used on console. Like does the delta rotation get translated to stick movement or does it function like if I roll left 45 degrees that it would match the stick as full left? So when you keep it in at 45 degrees it would keep rotating.
If it is the first I'm guessing you would run into to same limitation as you would with a mouse and xim apex. With games like destiny which have a very low rotation speed which causes you to hit the max rotation speed very quickly.
Hey, its the first that you mentioned. Yes the maximum turnspeeds still remain a limitation, but D2 recently doubled the max turnspeed so at least for that game it shouldnt be a problem anymore! :)
@@XIMCentral oh cool I quit destiny 2 during the last season. Now I've obviously got to install it again. Double sensitivity and 60fps on PS5 with xim apex. That's just disgusting haha.

@@jildert On the PS5 you even get 120 fps in the PvP mode, the game feels like a brand new one now haha :).
I assume this can emulate mouse and keyboard? (judging from the gameplay) If so, this could work better for some xbox games rather than using the gyro to emulate sticks since some xbox games support mouse and keyboard. Warframe is a good example, and I think halo mcc does too now.
I'd love to try this for myself since I've been trying to get game devs and Microsoft to adopt gyro.

It blows my mind that dualshock4/dualsense both have gyro/motion sensor but only few games support it. And none of them are Mainstream AAA fps games.
The quality of these gyro modules isnt all that great as their main intention for them wasnt to aim but to for example tilt planes in flying games. So i can kind of understand developers not going for it. Nexus wont have that issue and it also doesnt need the game developer to add gyro support.
id have to see how this plays out i use a xim apex i have for years and i love it.
but using a controller like nexus will it hurt your wrists after long play?
I havent experienced any wrist problems when using Nexus so far, the bending is very very similar to how you move your mouse with the wrist. If you dont experience any problems with a mouse id say you also wont with Nexus :).

@@XIMCentral I read that we can use xim in Aimlab. Can we use our rainbow six siege sens to practice on Aimlab because thunt is meh..
@@R6SavageGGEz Yes you can do that, but there is no option to transfer your sensitivity from one config/game to another. So you either have to dial it in again for AimLabs, or measure your cm per 360° ratio to transfer it. Outside of that inputlag and responsiveness are different on PC so even with the same sensitivity it could feel slightly different.
When are the pre orders? I want to get one before they go out of stock when they release.

Moin, sag mal zur Zeit spiele ich mit der Xim Apex competitive Shooter. Was würdest du eher Raten bei M&K bleiben oder eher auf den neuen Nexus umzuschwingen? Worin siehst du einen wesentlichen Vorteil? Mich beeindruckt es schon wie Smooth es sich anschauen läßt bei Games mit AA wie zb. Overwatch.
Hey, das hängt hauptsächlich davon ab mit welchem Gerät du dich wohler fühlst. Wenn das der Controller ist wirst du mit dem Nexus definitiv besser sein, sollte es aber die Maus sein dann bleib bei ihr. Mit dem Nexus wirst du jedenfalls keinen Nachteil mehr gegen einen Maus-Spieler haben :).

@@DW-jn3cz Spiele tatsächlich viele Spiele jetzt mit dem Controller statt mit der Maus, da meine Genauigkeit in etwa gleich ist und man mit dem Controller auch mal von der Couch aus spielen kann. Für die Maus spricht eigentlich nur das schnellere zielen auf den Gegner, im Vergleich zum Nexus ist man hier ein paar Millisekunden schneller. Abgesehen davon spricht eigentlich nur noch der Gewohnheitsfaktor für die Maus. Der Controller hat in fast allen anderen Belangen die Oberhand (sofern das Spiel Aim Assist bietet).

@@DW-jn3cz CoD spiele ich nicht, dafür aber OW, RB6, Apex Legends und Warframe. Bei ca. der Hälfte bin ich auf den Controller umgestiegen.

@@ir3d3y3i8 Copy the whole code and then switch into the expert mode in your config and expand the advanced settings under the config colour option. There you have to click on the paste button.

If you could customize the trigger pull to be more shallow, do you think you could match your mouse?
Hey, what do you mean with more shallow? You can fully reconfigure the trigger behavior. In this video i was using a Quick Pull setup with a hair trigger. So not only would i shoot with the slightest press of the trigger but i can also shoot by minimally releasing the trigger again to accelerate the shooting process.

No it doesnt, it has a gyro sensor inside the cotnroller that handles this :).
I'm playing xim apex but I'm considering buying the controller because. I can't play or play with a controller. is aiming really easier with it?
Yes it is, gyro aiming is very similar to mouse aiming when it comes to the learning curve. You pick it up really fast!
What are your settings for xim Apex? I'm trying to find the closest sense to native mouse
Hey, you will always get the closest mouse feeling by using Sync Off or Default with 500-1000hz. Also dont use advanced settings but only dial in your sensitivity and bind your buttons. That will provide the closest PC feeling.
Sorry I don't fully grasp the idea of gyro aiming. Is is possible to have a sensitivity high enough to make my character do 360° and still maintain a good accuracy?
Many games don't have good aiming mechanics (like RDR2 and the division). Would that still be a problem using gyro aiming?
Hey, yes you can achieve 360° turns but for something like that you would normally just use the stick. Gyro is more about precision aiming while the sticks are for coarse aiming. Yes it will also work very well in games like Division or other titles with bad aim mechanics! :)

I mean imagine in COD if I have to turn 180 to shoot an enemy. I turn using the stick, then release it, then engage the gyro aiming for a precision aim? seems impractical. Am I missing something?
Do the gyro aim and stick aim overlap or something?
Anyways, without a doubt I would be purchasing it. Been around since the launch of XIM Apex.
@@deepak9212 Yes they overlap, in the beginning you of course will use only one of the two, but once you got the hang of it, which happens quite quickly, you will use both on top of each other :).

Hey, yes it will also work on PC. For recoil control you can watch the video that i uploaded 2 days ago, it showcases recoil control with the Nexus controller.

XIM Nexus is a controller and has no mouse and keyboard emulation. For the mouse clips a regular gaming mouse directly connected to the PC has been used :).
What is more Precision and faster xim apex or xim nexus controller??
Nexus will slightly win in tracking and Apex by a little bit in initial targeting. From a technical point of view both are equally precise as the both use the same smart translator technology.
How does the motion control manage recoil control?

Some comments probably come from the early access for channel members, while the other ones come from the XIM Forum where this clip was accessible for almost a week now :). Release will be sometime later this year, when it gets more concrete i can make a TH-cam update.

brother I just bought a ps5 and it won't let me connect the xim, I played with xim on ps4 and I just bought a ps5 to play 120 and xim on r6. what I do
Hey, use Remote Play for now or go with the PS4 version. Sony enforces the DualSense now in that game so no other controller works.

@@yRainsz blame sony. They fucked up with their dualsense requirement. So no atm you cant play r6s with the ps5 version of the game.

Depends on what you feel more comfortable with, someone with a controller background will certainly play better with this controller than with a mouse. Likewise a player having years of experience with mice will most likely get better results by sticking to a mouse.

Hey, the controller will be out sometime later this year. An exact date isnt scheduled yet but will be announced sometime soon, i would post an update via TH-cam then. Currently the controller doesnt work on all PS5 games yet but this is something that the XIM Devs are currently looking into. When there are more news on that ill make an update on TH-cam too! :)

Yes you can use it in the PS4 version of games on the PS5. As for actual PS5 games, this is currently being looked into.

There is no ETA yet i think as its currently looked into, but some of the official XIM resellers still have stock. You can find links to their shops on the XIM website.
What’s the polling rate/Hz on it as compared to mouse at 1000hz
In wireless mode it polls at 250hz, for wired 1000hz could become an option too if enough interest for that is shown in the XIM Forum.
@@XIMCentral I figured I’d say this because you talked to jibbsmart about it; use bumpers but you should reconsider the ergonomics of it if that is to be the proper/preferred way to play an example I can give of ergonomics (and how an audience may not understand the ergonomics of something else) built for the bumpers is with the DualShock 4 it isn’t meant to be held with only your pointer fingers on the shoulders unlike the Xbox controller, it’s meant to be held with pointers on bumpers and then middle fingers on triggers I hope this help for a future iteration(s)

@@XIMCentral it’s a very subtle thing to gloss over, a lot of people do. I just noticed how my hands naturally sat with the Xbox and DS4 controllers which was interesting given the internet’s idea that the DS4 is smaller, it’s not it’s just different ergonomics

We can no longer use the horipad controller to play fortnite with keyboard and mouse after the new update on the ps5

Theres no fix, Sony only wants the DualSense to work in that game. Until a solution has been found either use Remote Play (see my video on that) or play the PS4 version.

@@Sohikun There are some potential solutions that are being examinated right now. Too early to tell how good they are though, in a few weeks we will know more!

The gyro of the Nexus is more accurate, you have buttons on the back and a lot of other not announced software features yet :).
Is the gyro set to simulate joystick movement for this video? Asking because the Apex 2 has joystick gyro and mouse gyro modes, with the joystick gyro being notably less accurate.
Also, any trigger stops in the controller like the Xbox Elite, or a hair trigger like some other controllers?
Joystick mode is less accurate on that controller as it needs to translate inputs to joystick. This is where the Nexus and XIMs in general excel at as they have the smart translators which result in perfect movements when using joystick inputs. Physical trigger stops are not part of Nexus as those would result in motion shocks, you have software based trigger stops though (up to 4).

@@thearchitect5405 Yes it has a rumble feature. You can use different motion presets, or just manually determine the deadzone of the gyro to avoid rumble influencing your motion aiming :).

Hey, not sure what you mean with enable, but you can use the gyro aiming in any game.
Could you use the nexus on motion tracking targets/ moving targets? Would be nice to see nexus tracking targets without aim assist in aimlabs.

Hello friend, a new xim device or update has to be out soon, the current device is getting outdated as new gen console are out, and new games coming up soon such as cod vanguard.
I don't know why it takes too long to get our hands on a new device/update for new console compatibility!
Hey, a new XIM has just been announced. XIM Apex is still more than capable and doesnt need a hardware update. Its all just about software updates.

Now with new games coming out we can't enjoy the graphics advantage unless we get a new device/software.

@@lazirus7692 Both XIM Apex and XIM Nexus will be sold and supported next to each other from now on. So yes Apex would also get software updates which also includes a potential PS5 solution when it has been found! :)

I dont think this has been tested yet. One of the alpha testers owns a strike pack, maybe he can give it a try.

@@fabiof.419 The Cronus Zen has pretty poor compatibility with the XIM but yes it works. The Cronus website should have instructions on how to to do it :).

So one difference between this and in game, at least for me, is that I also use the left analog stick to strafe, aim more accurately and faster.
You can absolutly do that with Nexus too, AimLabs just doesnt allow this as the character is locked into place.

@@ps.mo5aaa68 Those two games will only allow the DualSense controller, and that controller doesnt work with the XIM yet. XIM Devs are looking into workarounds right now. You can still play these games by either using Remote Play or Chiaki, or alternatively by playing the PS4 version instead.

@@ps.mo5aaa68 Its a third party remote play app with less delay than the official Sony one. Its significantly more complicated to setup compared to the remote play from Sony.

Yes absolutly! In my first Nexus video that i released around a week ago you can see how well Nexus works with aim assist.

The one with the better map awareness, decision making and game experience. At such a high level aim is no longer the deciding factor. When we talk about pure aim accuracy though the controller player will slightly win in tracking and the mouse by a little bit in initial targeting.

Is this supported on PS5?
No third party device can currently support the PS5 as Sony doesnt want that, which includes big companies such as Razer or Logitech too. Theres not a single third party PS5 controller on the market yet... :( But the XIM Devs will of course continue to look into the matter to find a way to add PS5 compatibility.

Then where am I, lol. Even with the mouse I probably cannot achieve same score as your controller score without gyro...
Don't interpret too much into it, in the end its all about your dexterity for fine movements. That can be build up rather quickly over a few weeks or months, and then you will most likely outclass my scores by a long shot! Also using a sensitivity that is optimized for your current dexterity level is quite important to get good results + to get better! ;)
Can you fix apex rather marketing your shitty controller? can someone do something about apex on ps5 games?
Can xim company instead of making this kinda of bull... solve the problem with ps5 controller ' we can't play most ps5 games , new cod and battlefield are coming out and xim don't support both of them on ps5 it almost a year. I'm using xim for more then 5 years xim 4 and xim apex I can't go back to controller , and using necon controller or razer don't work too .
You do know that no other device in the world except for the DualSense works in these games right? Thats the reason big companies like Razer or Logitech dont offer any PS5 controllers. Even these companies cannot solve that issue. Now there is a potential solution but i cannot say more about that yet as its uncertain to work. but for now either stick to Remote Play or play the PS4 version.
my only issue is this may feel like cheating on console,ive used gyro on PC for a while and its really accurate (its what let me fall in love with halo),and that with some console games having strong AA,this would be really unfair to fight against, at least on console,where you can't just "turn on" gyro for all games like you can on PC,and on PC you can bind the gyro to mouse,where its usually fairly better than being translated like on most XIM products or mouse-joystick in steam input unless the AA is insane like in halo 3.
though tbf,the real solution is gyro on console to counter this so maybe my concern should be redirected.

Its not, you still play with a controller after all and gyro aiming does also not violate the ToS. So from a legal point of view its not cheating.
@@XIMCentral it’s cheating because sticks have aim assist for a reason. If it’s on the same level as m&k it’s obviously a unfair advantage and cheating no matter what tos says. That’s like saying slavery was fine because it was legal. Just because it’s a grey area doesn’t mean it’s not cheating. There are legal cheats like in game bugs and so on it’s still cheating and you’re a pos if you play against others like that just cause it’s not in tos.
@@GHCMargarita You should not become a laywer, you wouldn't like it 😂. You are free to have this opinion, but its subjective and doesn't reflect the legal situation on consoles. Gyro + aim assist lets you achieve an accuracy that can even outclass top level mouse accuracy. If you do not want to use it then that's fine, but you cannot call out others when it's fully legal.

Who said that it has to be specifically forbidden in tos to be considered cheating? Doing something that gives you an unfair advantage is cheating. @@GHCMargarita As i said, its fine to have your opinion. Just like its fine to use gyro + aim assist! You can dislike it as much as you want to, but at the end of the day it's legal to use it. There are lots of Nexus users in the XIM Forum who previously have used traditional gyro controllers which don't have aim assist. And their feedback in the forum tells us that they are very happy to play with aim assist now. Some of them even reached the highest ranks in their favourite games with it! Maybe your gyro skills are good enough to play without aim assist, but that doesn't mean other users do not struggle with it.
