Taemin is the ACE of Kpop, idols' idol. Taemin's dance style is so elegant, sophisticated and expressive. "I want people to see music". And I'm not taking about his vocals, it's really beautiful and mesmerizing.
When you’re a legend and highly respected you don’t need this fake mass streaming views. This is for quality artistic music/performance. Taemin deserves the worlds attention but he doesn’t get promoted much to mainstream audience/western. He is very well known and respected in industry and have highest praises. All his music, mvs, live stages are just artistic masterpieces. I hope you continue to look into his music, I think you’ll enjoy it
Taemin is probably the most iconic and legendary soloist in kpop history alongside G-Dragon (from BigBang). His popularity is insane. He is considered to as the king of dancing and Idol of Idols (you have at least 8 out of 10 idol/kpop artists having Taemin as their role model/favorite artist) He can be considered to as the king of SM entertainment. ALL or most of his songs are considered legendary and all are considered certified BOPS. BTW i forgot to mention that he is part of a kpop boygroup called "SHINEE", one of the most legendary kpop bands in history. They been around since 2008, so you can expect the members to be highly professional and experienced in the music and entertainment industry.
taemin and the rest of SHINee are absolute legends in their own league. kings of live performances, and their entire discography since 2008 is impeccable. looking forward to more reactions to taemin and/or SHINee!
Taemin is extremely popular in Japan & China. His Japanese releases are more ballad like and the MVs are cinematically gorgeous. Sayonara Hitori is incredible. Obviously, I’m a fan
Taemin is boss, gotta love him. Criminal is also great. I personally love Move but it might not be to your taste. it's very sensual and has an iconic choreo that other idols imitate all the time 🥰
Hey Anthony, I'm ARMY and Taemin was the second artist I discovered (about 2 years into my BTS journey). He is an outstanding artist, a lot of people don't "get him". He is certainly different, very progressive for his time, his solo debut was back in 2014 (he is in the group SHINee since the age of 14 in 2008). Sooo many to recommend for you but - "Danger", "Want", "Idea" and "Criminal" would be a good place to continue (if you're interested). Borahae!
I'm also ARMY and I agree Taemin is outstanding. I discovered Taemin about a week after I got into BTS, thanks to Spotify and how they add in songs. That song was 2 kids. I haven't seen anything so far that don't like. Just You and Me is my current fave but Criminal, Move, Want, Sexuality, Black Rose, Danger and Flame of Love are probably my top ones. Everything song has a different vibe but they are all so good and the music videos/performances are amazing. Dance practice for Move and Criminal are my fave practices so far to watch as well.
Don’t forget MOVE, which kind of took the industry by storm by some reasons I won’t spoil here, but SO MANY idols did covers of it. Basically any idol on a variety show could pull out the choreography at a moment’s notice it was so groundbreaking!
I agree, Taemin should have 100 million views. He said he won’t change in order to go “mainstream”, he’s passionate about creating his art and expressing his visions. Advice being his last video does show a completely different persona. He is my favourite artist period, because of his dancing, beautiful vocals, artistry, uniqueness, his performances are mesmerizing and he is kind and funny off stage. He stated dancing is movement, therefore movements shouldn’t be feminine or masculine. Some have criticized his dancing because he uses “feminine” movements. He has 3 tattoos, a heart on fire on his left inner arm; a large flower on his right hip (I think it’s a peony a traditional Japanese tattoo which is considered the King of flowers, because it can symbolize wealth/prosperity or which I think is the case, a masculine devil may care attitude) he spends a lot of time in Japan; and a small glass tipped with liquid on upper left ribs. Tattoos are frowned upon in Korea and on tv you can’t show them, hence in Advice lyrics “I destroy the torso you were chasing after”. He always had to cover them with a patch, but in Advice video we get to see all of them. Taemin has been the inspiration for many 3rd and 4th generation performers, including Jimin. Jimin met his idol and they became friends, including Kai from EXO (another great dancer). I’ve seen so many BTS fans say Taemin looks like, or sings or dances like Jimin. Ugh! I get frustrated because Taemin came first and created so many unique songs, dancing, styles etc. Sometimes I wish some BTS fans would broaden their horizons, even just a little. I truly hope you delve into Taemin’s discography/videos and enjoy the journey. 💖. I really loved your in depth reaction!
I really like your reaction because you really pay attention to details and also you got the message of the song. Taemin is a complete artist and he can surely surprise you more and more. Nice day!
Taemin's MVs are very artistic and his style of music is very interesting too. his songs like "Want", "Move" and "IDEA" is really worth checking out. The Taemin x Jimin performance you're asking about is the 2016 KBS Song Festival performance.
Taemin is one of the artists who's been in the industry since very young age and he's been at it for almost 15 years. He was basically raised by the industry to be the perfect artist, which he undoubtedly is. He has never been into scandals, correct me if I'm wrong but you'll never find negative things when searching up his name. Therefore, there are even more people prying into his personal life. There are so many assumptions people make just based off of his image.
Off the stage, he's a puppy, he can't have scandals. I think it's physically impossible for him to even think about doing something wrong like that LOL
I had the same realization of "I don't know a thing" when I began listening to Taemin. His mind? Incredible. I'd recommend "Move" next, because it's like Korea's "Single Ladies" - it's iconic, it became a career defining song, and everyone was doing the dance.
Yes! I see a lot of people sharing other songs that are, of course, ones to check out but I also co-sign Move. It kind of took the industry by storm by some reasons I won’t spoil here, but SO MANY idols did covers of it. Basically any idol on a variety show could pull out the choreography at a moment’s notice it was so groundbreaking!
Oh gosh ! First Time ?! I didn't realize you never reacted to his work. You definitely just leveled up into the Kpop world (congratulation, Kpop is a whole freaking journey, I personally never see the end of it xD). Taeming is just unavoidable. Move and Advice are one of my favourite pop songs ever. But his dancing is what makes him so legendary, i think.
Taemin is versatile... His demeanor allows him to alter himself in any genre as Michael Jackson... not just in movement. Here's 3 different versions of Taemin: Taemin - WANT, Taemin - MOVE, Taemin - IDEA. He has Michael's aura. *This is the gift he gave us before he left to do his mandatory military service.
Lee Taemin, what a glorious artist. When I found out about him, I was so impressed and mesmerised. He's such a sweet guy off the stage, but there's a power coming off him when he's performing that always leaves me speechless. He's been in this industry for so long, he went through a lot, I hope you'll want to go deeper into his career and personal story.
I see "Advice" as a continuation of the themes within Taemin's previous Never Gonna Dance Again album trilogy -- "2 Kids," "Criminal" and "Idea." With "Criminal" and "Idea," Taemin talks about being involved in a toxic relationship -- not necessarily a romantic relationship, but a metaphor for his relationship with fame -- in which he agrees to be manipulated almost to the point of being destroyed in order to become the artist we see today. But in the end of "Idea" we see him become free from the box everyone wants to put him in and he comes to terms with his role as an idol. He has now formed his own "Idea" about himself and what it means to be an idol, etc. As Taemin explained during his VLive event for "Advice", "Advice" is like the end to the first chapter in his life, and the beginning of his second chapter, which will be after he completes his military service. (He enlisted May 30, 2021, and he will be on hiatus at least until November as he fulfills his duty to his country.) The song seems to be his way of saying I am done caring to everyone who judged him and all those haters who spread rumors and misinformation about him. "Advice" is showing that he is now free and confident to be himself, breaking stereotypes and now only listening to himself. Taemin is just one of those performers that leaves you speechless every time he steps on stage. He was born to be a performer and that is one of the reasons why he has become known as the Korean Michael Jackson. That is also why, as one of the top two performers in the industry, he was made a member of SuperM. Taemin is an Idol of Idols and a legend of legends. And the title of the industry's BEST dancer isn't just a fan's opinion but it's a widely agreed upon title bestowed on Taemin by his peers and the industry as a whole. In "Advice" he's basically saying, "Stop trying to put me in a box, in which I'll never fit in." He is also speaking to everyone that says he's getting old, that he's just a Michael Jackson wannabe that doesn't sell a lot of albums because he tries too hard to be edgy, etc. He's rebelling against all those people who are constantly advising him to make more mainstream music or to follow the traditional Kpop idol style in order to boost his sales and his popularity. However, as Taemin is making clear in "Advice," that is not who he is and he will never be "normal" or "mainstream" and he is OK with that. In the scenes where you see him covered in ink, I think that is supposed to be him showing everyone how he is no longer the "unstained," cute maknae everyone wants to think of him as. The diamond you see painted on his hand when he is playing the piano, and you see drawn on his bicep, etc. is the official symbol of his group SHINee. (The large tattoo on his hip is real. Hence why in the lyrics he says, "I destroy the torso that you were chasing after." He's tired of people thinking they even have a say in what he does with his body.) This song was specifically designed to not be like anything he has ever done before. He plays the piano, he raps, he shows off his falsetto notes, etc. which is different than what we often hear and see from him. He intentionally used this song to prove that he isn't one type of singer. People often think of Taemin as a sultry vocalist that sings in a breathy comfortable less dynamic style. So, with this song he wants to prove to everyone that he can be unpredictable and try new things. Yet again, you can't put him in a box or tell him who to be. Everything you see in this MV is 100% Taemin. Everything that Taemin's haters like to point out about him and say are reasons why he shouldn't be held to such high esteem, I find completely ridiculous. I don't think that anyone who actually knows him would ever say he has played it safe at anytime in his career. If you think he is only one dimensional, and that he is trying to be anything other than himself, then you really don't know Taemin. Everything he does is different, out there and definitely not safe. It's always uniquely Taemin, and he couldn't do it any other way. Also, because Taemin is a member of SHINee, none of his songs are ever like anything you have every heard or seen before from him. It will always have a new beat, style and sound. As SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, SHINee is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend, and that includes the members' solo work. With every new song Taemin produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from him in any of his songs, even on the same album, and yet, it still will be uniquely Taemin-like. Which is another example of how you can never put him in a box or expect anything from him. :D Another theme in "Advice" is about how Taemin is embracing his androgynous side -- but on his own terms -- which I think is a continuation of the message in his "Move" MV. Early in his career when Taemin was growing up in SHINee he was known for his feminine look. The industry thought it was novel and cute to dress Taemin up as a girl and play up his feminine features. It took him a long time to accept that he was known for his looks and to come to terms with the fact that everyone thought of him as a "pretty boy," etc. So, at this point in his career he is making a statement about how he has decided to be himself and no longer care what people think. Music is art and art has no gender. So, that is why in "Advice" you see him wearing hair extensions, fishnets and women's Supreme sports wear, etc. But if you notice, his choreography is very fast paced and sharp which is hyper masculine -- a complete contrast to the "feminine" image people want to give him. You also see him wearing makeup, but it's smeared on his face, as if to say, "people may think of me as a 'Pretty Boy,' but I don't care about looking pretty." In the lyrics he is saying, "It's creepy how people are always looking to cause drama, so stop trying to create scandals in my life that don't really exist. It's all just stories you make up." He's tired of all those people who seem to look for reasons to cause drama, where none really exists.
Where he says "floppy" in the lyrics, I think he's talking about knowing about or hearing firsthand the things people are saying about him, but he is choosing not to pay attention to them because what they're saying is flopping or doesn't hold any weight or have any substance, etc. "Advice" just proves that everytime people try to put Taemin in a box he destroys it and keeps coming back with something more unique and never seen before. I interpret the "One (piece of ) Advice" he is talking about in the lyrics as a reference to the advice he keeps being given about being more mainstream, but he's saying, "stop trying to make me conform to the image you have in your head of who I should be and what I should do" -- in other words, take all that time and effort you have been using to come up with ways to talk about how I don't fit in, etc. and put it to better use. "Follow my own advice" and do something original for once. As a devout Catholic, Taemin often uses Biblical references and metaphors in his songs and MVs. And the crucifixion pose at the end of "Advice" is sort of a signature pose for him. I interpret it to be like he is saying, "And that is the end, this is my final word, take it or leave it, but don't doubt me. I have gave it my all and laid everything I had out there for you," etc. If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing in this MV, just wait until you see him dance live. You will be even more blown away. As I said, Taemin is on a whole other level. And, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Taemin and SHINee. That is why they are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. With more than 13 years since their debut, they still command one of the top spots. When Taemin debuted in 2008 as part of SHINee he was only 14 years old and, yet, he was already known as one of the best dancers in the industry, and he only becomes more magnificent as you follow him through his career. Now after more than a decade, Taemin is still one of the youngest in many Kpop circles -- he is only 28 -- and, yet, he often has the most seniority and experience. He is so well respected that everyone looks up to him. SHINee is a 5 member group that is known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CDNee or CD-eaters because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing, so they avoid it at all costs. When you hear the members of SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. They have now gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, what you will hear is live vocals. They have specifically trained their entire career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography for more than 3 hours straight. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach.
Teamin is very talented. He is playing the piano in the beginning of the video. He reminds me of the “Crow” main character in the movie. It’s a beautiful video. Very artistic. And he made the video before he went to the Army. He getting out this November 2022
I am ARMY 💜 but Taemin is my favorite solo artist. I’m happy you are branching out and finding more Kpop artists you like. ☺️ You’ll never be disappointed by him. Great reactions and thank you for diving into the lyrics and deeper meanings of the art of this music. 👏🏻
Yes, Taemin is not Michael Jackson and can never be, however, Taemin has his own colors, has said MJ is his rolemodel and the reason why he sings, Taemin's aesthetic in this video is very much MJ inspired and the choreography also pays homage to James Brown. You have to be a MJ and James Brown fan to know when he is paying homages to his heros. Taemin does not mind being called the Korean MJ.
Taemin is insane the idol of idols the legend of legends the one and only art in its absolute form, the Korean Michael Jackson the embodiment of dance and performance, career of more than 13 years in the industry hard work and experience you can never go wrong with Taemin you might have seen Jimin and Kai and many other K-pop dancers they are amazing but this is the god level congratulations you just found the god of K-pop! React to his group shinee too shinee and taemin are legends!! My recommended taemin solos for you are IDEA, Criminal, taemin move(the song made history in K-pop), taemin advice studio choom, and taemin shadow live performance, taemin pinnochio live, taemin artistic groove live, the fun fact is he kills it on live more than the MV!!! 😂♥️♥️
@@Mariajbh2 it's not like he copies Michael as many idols straight up take moves from Michael Taemin himself has combined Michael's dace style and had proven successful in creating his own unique dance styles that is reminiscent of Michael but not exactly Michael either as he has done many moves that look like something Michael would do but Michael never did any of them he did! 🙂
@@sajjadali-taeminsteppedony8434 I only try to do a paralelism, a singer and dancer with seems abilities as Michael, I didn't say he copies movements, sounds, etc
Taemin is a phenomenal artist, constantly evolving and perfecting his craft to his own vision and standards. There is no one like him out there! Please continue to look into him-you will be so happy you did!
Taemin is called the "king of kpop" and the "Idol's Idol" for a reason. As you said Taemin very diferent as a whole artist. The top soloist is him. Please keep reacting to him. I suggest CRIMINAL, IDEA
YES THIS DOES DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION. i don't know if my head was in the gutter or if the whole kpop industry was just sleeping but i never heard a huge commotion about this song nd i was so SURPRISED coz this was literally a song in my top 10 from 2021 nd is literally my fav tt from taemin so far
TAEMIN is the best in the world., Hr is a Masterpiece... please look at him ..!! Is a AMAZING..! El no tiene comparación, es el verdero Rey del K-pop. , graciass por notarlo. El deberia tener Billones de Views .

@@babyjki444 YES it's hard to put somebdy in other artist than BTS or BLACKPINK . many of them think than the korean music industry is limited but now we are the industry with factualy the most artist by people if i 'am not wrong it's 1 artist by 750 peoples it's huges . but i like the ANTHONY mind he love discover new sound and artist .
Taemin’s only competition is Taemin. His releases are always highly anticipated and you think the next one can’t be better, but it always is. You talked about his flow as a rapper, ironically he’s not a rapper, he’s a singer predominately but whatever he does, he excels at
I just want to say: 😭😭😭. In all seriousness, thank you Jessi and Anthony!! Taemin is my ultimate idol. He is a legend. He is ART with all capital letters. ❤️💜👏😀
If you have time please dive into his b-sides too! His music is very diverse and you can find songs for literally every occasion, but one thing they all have in common is the quality - his albums are amazing.
Taemin is worth loving. I like a lot of SHINee's work. Awesome how easily you could pick up on his dynamism as a performer! He is incredibly precise, and yet very expressive.
Thank you very much for such an excellent analysis of the lyrics, and not just the visual component. You laid out at once the whole essence that Taemin was trying to convey with this song and the video itself. It was filmed before leaving for the military and he wanted to express himself and everything he had to face in the industry: ridicule, humiliation due to appearance, the way he danced and expressed himself as an artist. This is a turning point and the beginning of something new, but already on his return. Not all fans were even able to understand what you were talking about. Thank you very much
This all starts from his album that came out in 2020 the legendary album had Act 1 &2, Never Gonna Dance Again album Act 1 In act 1 criminal Mv was released(it is a taemin song) the song referred to being in a toxic relationship with oneself and fame and was based on Stockholm syndrome, and how it might affect taemin as he does everything for his fame and has development a toxic relationship with it and he enjoys it very much but the side effects of it aren't so kind to him! It explained about taemin having to pretend and be depressed and nervous all the time to meet the expectation of that someone else referred as fame! Never gonna dance Again Act 2 This is where things take a turn and also it is also having direct connections to criminal and 2 kids mvs, it is about him discovering that he wants to be an idea(he released his IDEA mv in this act 2) of himself that is based on Plato's theory of forms and the ideal state he believes that there is an ideal taemin he wants to achieve the ideal taemin is there and to achieve that he has now made a toxic relation with it and wants to obsessively achieve it! Yet again there is also the true form of taemin as the taemin that is imperfect and is hidden from the world and doesn't want to come out and is not allowed to come out! During this scene of Mv we see a new ego developing exceeding both previous egos the perfect one and imperfect one this new ego is rebellious and dark and doesn't want to give a shit and just be the true imperfectly perfect self that it wants to be! So this new ego is developed in IDEA Mv. While both the other egos eventually kind of stay there as taemin learns to know that inorder to be complete he needs to embrace both his imperfection and perfection means the both previous egos hence embracing the new ego which is dark and rebellious and mixture of both and something new! ADVICE Advice is the closing and begining as taemin stated quote from demian by Herman hesse for this album "the bird must destroy the egg the egg is the word one must first destroy a world in order to be reborn into a new world the bird flies to god names abraxas god of both good and evil perfect imperfect etc." So using this quote in advice wearing the white and black suit the chess board and the dancer outfits being black and white too, he is also embracing the feminine and masculine looks(as he was criticized for being too feminine by media since start of his career) he is wearing the makeup but it is teary to show the pain of it all, he is rocking a white crop top and bra yet he is performing masculine hard hitting dance moves, he is singing in crazy high falsetto and at the same time in a very deep voice almost rapping so the accident was basically him going off the rails and as he finally embraces the new and rebellious ego and destroys the world( as in the abraxas story and destruction is referred to as car accident) and embraces his new ego at the last scene with the Christ pose as being reborn and complete into a new chapter of his life while the car in the background and the paint on his body signifies the ending of the previous chapter of his life and bruises he got from it now after he comes from military he will be this new rebellious Taemin!! So in conclusion, Act 1 = realising the toxic relationship with his ego and fame, Act 2 = egos colliding disturbing peace and a new idea forming a new imperfectly perfect self! ADVICE = embracing it all and saying f to the world!! The new and truest ego is here!! In conclusion they will never get the keys to his lock 😏
So happy you found the legendary TAEMIN!!! Taemin became a trainee under SM at age 11 as a self-taught dancer. He was one of three selected out of thousands the day he auditioned, but he caught their eye with his pop-locking skills, the fact he crossed the line when he wasn’t supposed to (on purpose), and his cheekiness. Though he didn’t feel ready, he debuted with SHINee as the maknae (youngest member) and main dancer at age 14. SHINee started as an experimental, contemporary group and is comprised of the five most talented guys (the “Most Shining in the Universe”) in South Korea. They’re tasked (and are incredibly successful) with introducing new ideas ranging from concepts, music genres, fashion, and more to the industry. They set the trends and others follow in their footsteps. One such trend is known as the SHINee Standard-intense choreography whilst singing live, even since their debut. The only thing SHINee is known to not be good at is lip syncing, so they don’t. They’re known for their incredible live vocals and have been lovingly nicknamed “CDNee” because their live vocals are even better than their recordings. They trained by singing while taking long runs and kept that conditioning up-after all, their concerts last upwards of 3.5 hours with insanely intense choreography and vocals. They give their all during their performances, but you’d never know they were so tired their managers have had to carry them afterwards. Though he didn’t get any vocal lines at first (many stated he was tone-deaf, but he was going through puberty), Taemin worked his butt off to improve-so much so he was getting frequent nosebleeds and passed out a few times. His hyungs (basically a term for older “brothers”/close males) helped him develop his voice, especially Onew (Leader of SHINee and also helped coach SM trainees) and Jonghyun (widely regarded as the best vocalist of KPOP), to the point he was the first SM idol to go solo whilst active in his group (2014, at 21 years old). He’s now known for being an exceptional vocalist and is a main vocalist for SHINee and SuperM. In 2014, Taemin had his solo debut as the ACE of SM Entertainment (the best of the best in all areas)-Ace is the name of his first solo album and he was the first to receive that title. Now he has gained even more titles: he is the Idols’ Idol (most idols today will say the reason they became an idol and the person they most look up to/aspire to be is Taemin and/or SHINee), he is also a Prince of KPOP (which is a title granted to SHINee), Golden Maknae of SM that’s talented in all areas (besides the fact everyone loves him-not only is he talented, but he’s a wonderful human), Legendary Solo Man (역솔남-near as I can tell, it’s a title bestowed on those similar to “Diva”, given to artists such as Aretha, Dolly, Cher, etc), and the Michael Jackson of South Korea (he’s also known as one of the best dancers in South Korea, if not the best). His backup dance teams are the best in the business and are comprised of multiple famous choreographers (with that said, it’s still difficult (if not impossible) to see anyone BUT Taemin when he’s dancing). It’s no surprise that he’s very well-respected amongst choreographers: his friend Koharu Sugawara nicknamed him “Dancer Killer”. In 2019, SM collaborated with Capitol Records, USA, and assembled a group of seven of the best artists in KPOP to debut in the USA: SuperM. In fact, they even collaborated with Marvel after having been dubbed the Avengers of KPOP. Of course, Taemin was the first chosen and helped pick the other six members. Though not the eldest member, he is the senior member of the group due to the length of time he’s been in the industry. As such, he would have been leader, but he deferred that task to Baekhyun of the group EXO (who’s slightly older than Taemin). The main reason being, Taemin has been the maknae of SHINee his entire career and didn’t feel he would be best suited to lead the others. However, he is the center of the group and they ALL (including Baekhyun) defer to his experience and take his advice to heart. He is very caring towards his dongsaengs (juniors) and was nicknamed Taemresa (inspired by Mother Teresa). Baekhyun is an incredible leader, by the way…don’t want anyone to misunderstand my intentions behind what I’ve said. With the debut in SuperM, Taemin became the first idol to ever debut in three generations: 2nd with SHINee, 3rd as a solo artist, and 4th Gen with SuperM. The second (and only other) artist to achieve this did so only a few months ago. Taemin is currently on hiatus due to his mandatory military service, but I’m excited for his return (expected in November). His fans are named Jjakgoongs (a name Taemin calls us meaning best friends/buddies/partners) and Taemints (Taemints being the name of his Shawol fans, based on the fact SHINee was a total secret and not marketed at all before their debut so Taemin would hand out mints and candies to tempt people to listen to their music and attend their debut-which not even their families were aware they were debuting until they were on stage in front of them). Something that is important to know in regards to SHINee and Taemin…I mentioned they are a five member group, and that is true to this day. However, Jonghyun tragically lost his battle with depression and anxiety in December of 2017. He was always incredibly open regarding his struggles with mental health…which isn’t taken seriously in South Korea (though it is improving, from what I understand…in large part due to the tragic losses of Jonghyun, Sulli, Goo Hara, and other idols). Doctors pretty much told him to suck it up and try to be happy. His death was devastating, not only to SHINee and Shawol (fandom name, short for SHINee World), but for all of KPOP and Korea. He is still missed terribly and appears regularly on charts for popularity and listening counts. Jonghyun was regarded the best vocalist of KPOP and was the first SM artist to release a self-written album. He wrote tons of songs-not just for himself or even SHINee, but for other well-known artists, as well. The members of SHINee obviously took this very, very hard, but decided to continue as a group that will always remain five. To this day, they are very vocal about the fact Jonghyun is still with them; they even leave his spot open in choreography sometimes and keep his microphone backstage during performances. Jonghyun was Taemin’s biggest fan and supporter, even rescheduling his own concert to attend Taemin’s. They were inseparable. Taemin is a well-known workaholic…he never takes breaks and hasn’t since he was a child. He’s in the studio every single day-not even taking off for Christmas. Taemin and SHINee are all fluent in Japanese and release just as many Japanese albums as Korean. They are so popular in Japan, many do not consider them foreign artists (which is testament to the love and respect the Japanese people have for them). They even have an entirely separate crew of dancers and staff in Japan. Most artists have to request to hold concerts at Tokyo Dome (it’s an unspoken rule you need to be able to sell out the 55,000-seat arena to perform), but they actually reach out and request SHINee and Taemin because they know they’ll sell out in seconds (whether as a group or Taemin as a solo artist) and have to host multiple days to accommodate. The guys host the entire concert in Japanese and do not need translators. I mentioned SHINee being trendsetters-that includes Taemin, of course. Besides introducing new music styles and breaking boundaries with his concepts, he has also worked to break other boundaries, as well. Early in his career, SM took advantage of his prettiness and exaggerated it-he was often mistaken as a female (especially during the long-hair era) and would frequently clear his throat to “discreetly” let others know he’s male. He absolutely hated it, and understandably so-he was a teenager. Later, he embraced some of the socially-viewed “feminine” qualities and has worked hard to showcase that music has no gender. Taemin made waves with his song, “Move”, which he performs with his Girl Gang (all-female backup dancers). The choreography blends masculine and feminine energy like no one but Taemin can do (so many tried to imitate it, it was dubbed “Move Disease”, but none come close). He also lends that androgynous aspect to his fashion choices. Taemin has many facets to him-when the camera is on (filming MVs, music shows, etc), he is a true professional. With his SHINee hyungs, he’s a mischievous crackhead who lives to torment them. They raised him, so they spoil him, but don’t misunderstand-his love for them is unmatched and it goes both ways. With SuperM, he’s silly, but caring-he took them under his wings and is their mentor. He also has his Padding Squad (friend group consisting of Kai from EXO, Jimin from BTS, Ravi from VIXX, Timoteo of HotShot, WannaOne/HotShot’s Sungwoon, and a non-celebrity friend). They’re named the Padding Squad, or Padding Friends, because Taemin bought them all matching customized jackets with their own unique logo. For me, personally, I can appreciate someone’s musical abilities…but to become a true fan (or “stan”), they have to be really special and have qualities setting them apart besides simple talent. Taemin, SHINee as a group, and the other SHINee members as soloists (they’re all five incredible soloists) have my utmost devotion. They’re incredibly talented in ways far beyond musical abilities and are kind, fun, and caring humans.
I found your channel cause of this particular Taemin reaction (I’m an ardent fan of him and his artistry) and I really loved your deep analysis and your references (Edgar Allan Poe - wow, absolutely! A lot of Taemin’s lyrics are very poetic!) I can’t say I’m surprised that you instantly identified Taemin as a super unique and impactful artist, cause the same happened to me couple of years back - I saw thanks to YT algorithm his other spectacular song “Move” and literally after 1 minute I was convinced he’s an exceptional, one in a generation artist… I really hope you’ll react to more of his songs and hopefully performances. I recommend Criminal and IDEA first, cause these two are connected and tell you a lot about his artistic identity and the magnitude of an artist that he is. I love it that you go so deeply into lyrics and can instantly (and correctly) decipher the meaning - the more reasons for you to check out Criminal and IDEA which are absolute masterpieces in this aspect. Regarding Taemin’s vocals - you were spot on saying that he uses his voice here like another percussion instrument. Taemin’s ability to shape and modulate his voice is super impressive and trust me he has amazing producers but a lot of it comes from his own musical instinct/knowledge/experience/sensitivity. There’s a super interesting vid on SHINee YT channel showing Taemin recording in a studio for Advice album. Honestly more people should see how he works in the studio, how much input he has and how he communicates with his producer - it’s a masterpiece in its own right how they work together and how such gems like Advice are created. Sorry for this long essay, I was just very impressed with your reaction and very happy to see you appreciate him so much. And you bet I will subscribe to your channel! :)
Thank you Anthony Ray. Taemin is my ult bias because he is so good. This song was his last song before he went into the military on May 21st 2021 and has less than a year left. Miss him. I first watched his Move m/v which was so different and amazing more artistic. You can get why they call him the Michael Jackson of k-pop if you watch his solo debut Danger m/v. Idea m/v, Criminal m/v, are more recent, and some older are Want m/v, & Famous m/v, my all time favorite k-pop song is Taemin's Japanese song called Sayonara Hitori and they have a m/v for it. So glad you have reacted to Taemin. Loved it and break down of the song. Hope to see more of Taemin reactions.
Welcome to SHINee (pronounced "shiny") World (fandom name: SHAWOLs - short for SHINee World) and our king of Kpop, Taemin, a true LEGEND in the industry. Taemin has been in the industry for 17 years (when you count trainee years as well). He entered SM through the historically difficult open Saturday auditions at the age of 12 and became one of only six individuals to ever be chosen through those auditions. He went on to debut with the, also legendary, 2nd gen group, SHINee -- the original trendsetters of Kpop ( th-cam.com/video/bb80xyEHEoQ/w-d-xo.html ) who brought you actual live singing while performing more complex, intricate choreos ( th-cam.com/video/M4pINahBoRY/w-d-xo.html ) and started the dance practice video trend just to name two of many firsts. One of the only groups who will still sing 90-95% live during performances. Taemin was only 14 YO (intl. age) when he debuted as SHINee's main dancer and is their youngest member. He was so young when he debuted that he couldn't sing due to immature vocal cords. His fellow members, Onew & Jonghyun (best in Kpop -- seriously as SHINee mentored both EXO and NCT) tutored him when the time was right, and now Taemin has a beautiful voice which he continually improves each year. As a totally self-taught dancer, Taemin began teaching himself when he was 10 by practicing his favorite moves from MJ, Usher, Rain, etc., in front of a mirror. He quickly became a master at popping, locking, and isolations ( th-cam.com/video/Qo18L3_Kc0Y/w-d-xo.html ) while incorporating a natural fluidity that is breathtaking to watch (for example, his "IDEA" dance practice looks like he's not even trying and yet it is so intricate and complex). Most in the industry (not talking fans here) cite Taemin as being the best dancer in Kpop. He is also known as the "Idols Idol" because of the many 3rd & 4th gen Kpop Idols who look up to him and cite him as the reason they pursued a Kpop career. Although Taemin's forte is popping, locking, and isolations, he can quickly master just about any dance style, and you will see this if you continue to react to his music. In addition, despite each and every member of SHINee being a main vocal (their vocals are THAT GOOD, especially live), Taemin also became the first-ever SM soloist from an active boy group in 2014, at just 21 YO. He was an immediate hit and was given, by the company, the moniker of SM's "ACE," as everything he does turns to gold. This is why he gets only the best in production, backup dancers (of which he has two crews: Korean and Japanese), and lots of freedom and creative license etc. In 2019, Taemin again debuted with SM's newer "super" group, SuperM, comprised of seven of the best of the best dancers, vocalists, and rappers in SM Entertainment. If we add in a second sub-unit Taemin debuted with earlier in his career, this marks Taemin's fourth debut within three generations of Kpop. He is currently a member of both SHINee and SuperM, as well as a very prolific soloist. He is an extremely busy guy and avowed workaholic. Taemin enlisted in the military in May, 2021, and will be discharged in November, 2022. "Advice" is from his 2021 mini-album of the same name with the theme being chess, as you correctly guessed. It was Taemin's parting gift to us, his fans (Taemints and SHAWOLs) just prior to his enlistment (ALL SHINee members are extremely close to their fans, as well as having the most famous brotherhood in Kpop). As with most of Taemin's music, there are layers of meanings. In addition to it's surface meaning, "Advice" is also the epilogue to his 2020 storyline from his 2-part, full-length album, "Never Gonna Dance Again" (NGDA), a masterpiece of epic proportions, for which he acted as both co-producer and co-director. It is his biggest selling album to date, as he continues to surpass himself with every comeback. This is why he is SM's "Ace". To grasp the full picture of "Advice", I think it would be best if you reacted to its predecessors, "Criminal" (NGDA-Act 1) and "IDEA" (NGDA-Act 2), in that order. There is a reason why his outfit in "Advice" is black & white. It represents his duality which we first discover in his 2015 hit, "Press Your Number". "Criminal" (NGDA-Act 1) is based on the concept of Stockholm syndrome where Taemin is both the "criminal" and victim within his own mind - one ego that has split into two separate and distinct egos (we see this schism played out as a breakup in his MV, "2 Kids" -- the prologue from NGDA, Act 1). It's a love/hate relationship. "IDEA" (NGDA-Act 2), on the other hand, has the equally unique concept of Plato's Theory of Forms which states that any created being (form) cannot create itself. Only an outside power/being can be the creator and only that creator can make perfection -- a Messiah (like Jesus). This philosophy fits in perfectly with Taemin's Christian worldview. Using the visuals of Hell vs. Heaven (Hell = "Criminal"; Heaven = "Victim" reborn/resurrected/perfected) to represent his two egos, we see the climactic battle play out in the MV and reveal the outcome of said battle. Both are artistically stunning MVs, as is usual with the quality production value and visual symbolism Taemin's videos are known for. "Advice" shows us the newly resurrected and improved version of Taemin who, after the rousing success of NGDA, will no longer defer to the "One" (collective) advice of others regarding his music (including saesangs and haters), or his personal choices (such as getting tattoos on his torso) but instead follow his own "Advice" regarding his future endeavors. His return from the military will begin Act 2 of his career. As you can now tell, Taemin's mind is on steroids when it comes to creativity. He pours himself into his music through the imagery, lyrics, choreo, concepts, and costuming. Everything means something in most of his MVs, down to the tiniest details. If you want to know the inner struggles, heartaches, joys or philosophy of Taemin's personal life, all you have to do is decode his MVs and music. For instance, his song "Want" looks like one message on the surface, but as a Christian, you can dig deeper and realize it's also a re-telling of Genesis 3 of the Bible where he plays the role of Lucifer. "Famous" sounds arrogant at first listen, but if you watch the MV, read the lyrics, and decode the symbolism, you realize Taemin is showing the constant temptations that come with fame, how he himself is tempted, but comes to the conclusion that while being "famous" may be "fabulous" it's also "dangerous" and creates "drama". However, Taemin wants "no drama" and his grounded faith helps him walk away from those others who fail and burn in the end. There are other songs, like "Heaven" a beautiful illustration of salvation, and "Identity" where Taemin is singing about his lost SHINee brother, Jonghyun. Then there's songs like "Impressionable" and "Strings" where Taemin compares himself to a spider/victim in a web or a stringed instrument being played by someone respectively. His vocals artfully playing with the music. Being so young at debut, SHINee raised Taemin and will forever be their baby in their eyes. Conversely, he has become an eclectic mix of all of them, absorbing their collective talents like a sponge. SHINee is one of the most complete all-rounders of any Kpop group. They all are main vocals, all are soloists, all can dance; all can rap; all can write songs, and they all have an experimental bent when it comes to music. There is a reason why they are still putting out hits even after 14 years of an active career. Their last comebacks in 2020 & 2021 just prove why SHINee has been and always will be the trendsetters of Kpop. I really hope you will pursue reacting to Taemin's vast discography, both as a soloist and with his OG legendary group, SHINee, where he feels most at home and considers family. They are a special, unique combo.
Omg Taemin. Every kpop fan can agree that this man is just the industry prince. He is that good and thats just it :D If you liked this song by him I can recommend his other songs as well especially Criminal. That song has a deep and difficult meaning as well as the music video itself. Other than that, its done beautifully and the shots are amazing! Thank you for the great reaction Anthony
Ah now you've discovered Taemin! I'm Army forever but there are some artists that make you sit up and take notice and Taemin is definitely one of them! His dancing is what I first discovered and then found his music and mv's. He pushes boundaries and is different. It's so polished and professional but yet raw expression as well. Definitely check out the Mv's for Criminal, Advice, and Idea. As for his performances with Jimin - they're dance and mc ing - done outside of their usual things. Just look them up on TH-cam. I'm curious if you've listened to Jackson Wang? (originally from Got7) who is doing his own stuff now. Blow mv just came out and it's pretty cool too!
Taemin debuted when he was 14 years old. He is so talented, raw talent but also very hardworking, he doesn't take it for granted. Always working to improve and deliver his vision. An artist!
This song haunts me, I will never get tired of it. It has a special atmosphere, a melancholic vibe which is accentuated by the fact that he released it just before he enlisted in military. Taemin is (imo) one of the greatest enternainer WORLDWIDE. So, so talented on literally every aspects, a diamond.
I seen taemin and hit that subscribe button so fast! Pleeeease continue to react to more taemin you can't go wrong I pinky promise you. I hit your bell so do this newbie a solid and ring me up some more God taemin please.
I'm so glad you also took the time to analyze it. It heightens the experience to a whole another level. I can tell that you will enjoy Taemin's work a lot. All of his projects are a treat, and you will have a blast analyzing them.
thank you so much for this reaction!! i think you would like his singing style a lot, he does a lot with cadence and inflections! looking forward to your thoughts on more of his music!:)
Taemin is one of the most talented performing artists out there. I hope you consider reacting to his other songs - like, 'Want', 'Move', and 'Danger'. Thanks for your hard work on this!
Taemin is known as "The Korean Michael Jackson" for many reasons, he gives off a similar vibe, MJ was his inspiration and you can see his influences in a lot of Taemin's work, his vocal tone is similar at times, he has that same iconic aura and his music has that same iconic and timeless feel, because of hiow artistic he is, and because he is as big of a deal in Korea as MJ was to us in America. Taemin also has many other things that he is referred to as: The God Tier, The Idol of Idols, and even a cutesy one: Baby Cheese. We also oftensay that Taemin is art in human form. He is also one of (if not THE) most respected idol in the industry. Taemin is always praised for how respectful he is in interviews and just dealing with peoplein general. Becoming as famous as he did and at such a young age coupled with the high praise that he has received for so many years now, you might think he would've developed a complex but Taemin remains as humble and kind as ever. Taemin on stage and Taemin off stage are two VERY different people, off stage is a total goofball and a cute pouty baby who loves to tease and torment the other members of SHINee and sometimes even the fans lol. He really deserves all of the respect in the world. Taemin decided to just drop this banger on us right before leaving for his mandatory military duty like, "aight Imma head out now" like sir.... He worked tirelessly to give us as much of him as he could before he had to leave. Would love for you to check out more of him and SHINee as a whole!
Thank you Anthony for your sharpness of learning this hidden gem with just a song. Having same thought as you that this song should go up to at least a hundred millions viewers!
Your reactions are amazing and so authentic, you make people see little but yet important details that they usually skip. Keep the good work, I wish your channel to grow for people to see more of your amazing reactions :).
I love all of Taemin's work // Danger, Famous, Move. Criminal -- Check out his work with SHINee -- Don't Call Me and Your Number are my favorites. Thanks for covering one of the best dancers in KPOP. He and Kai and Ten did any amazing dance mv. There are no words to describe how fantastic Taemin is.

Reage ao mv idea do taemin
Taemin is the ACE of Kpop, idols' idol. Taemin's dance style is so elegant, sophisticated and expressive. "I want people to see music".
And I'm not taking about his vocals, it's really beautiful and mesmerizing.
When you’re a legend and highly respected you don’t need this fake mass streaming views. This is for quality artistic music/performance. Taemin deserves the worlds attention but he doesn’t get promoted much to mainstream audience/western. He is very well known and respected in industry and have highest praises. All his music, mvs, live stages are just artistic masterpieces. I hope you continue to look into his music, I think you’ll enjoy it
Well said!!!
He's indeed the ACE of SM and still he's so humble he decided he wouldn't be the leader of SuperM just because he wasn't the older one
taemin and the rest of SHINee are absolute legends in their own league. kings of live performances, and their entire discography since 2008 is impeccable. looking forward to more reactions to taemin and/or SHINee!
Taemin is extremely popular in Japan & China. His Japanese releases are more ballad like and the MVs are cinematically gorgeous. Sayonara Hitori is incredible. Obviously, I’m a fan
If you like this one, you'd also like some of my favorites from Taemin: Idea and Criminal. It would be criminal indeed not to listen to them.
@么EVELLYN___,♋👇 weirdo
Want and Move are also very good!
i saw what you did there and i aam stealing it 😂👉👈
Thirsty is a favorite of mine
Oh my god yes. These 2 songs are probably my top favs of his. I haven’t heard many songs of his but damn IDEA and CRIMINAL are addicting
Don’t forget Move I just feel like that’s a must as well
he is the king of kpop
You are an ARMY? Why and army supports other idols?
A very shy person with a mountain of creativity. Best dancer in KPop. Please go back to his prior work. So amazing. Thank you so much. Love you ♥️
I really like your reaction because you really pay attention to details and also you got the message of the song. Taemin is a complete artist and he can surely surprise you more and more. Nice day!
Taemin is the king of kpop, his style is unique, each of his songs is a masterpiece…this is T-pop🤩
Taemin and SHINee members are masters of live performances. I insist you check their stages someday. Their stage presence is no joking.
Taemin is one of my favourite artists of all time, not just in Kpop, but in general!
Same here - he’s my top artist in general, not only in K-pop.
Same here, only Taemin.
Taemin - Criminal is a masterpiece too!
Omfg finally discovers Taemin, this is a joyous day!!
Your thumbnail is exactly how I looked getting the notification you have finally seen the KING. TAEMIN 😭 🖤
😹😹😹😹
FACTS
LEE TAEMIN KING OF K-POP.
The best singer and dancer in the world.
Taemin's MVs are very artistic and his style of music is very interesting too. his songs like "Want", "Move" and "IDEA" is really worth checking out. The Taemin x Jimin performance you're asking about is the 2016 KBS Song Festival performance.
I LOVE TAEMIN, HE'S SO SO SO SO TALENTED! I MISS HIM SO MUCH!
@@FAQIvan91 I agree)) he's just too innocent 🤣
But his dancing is what makes him so legendary, i think.
he is the BEST dancer in kpop
Taemin is versatile... His demeanor allows him to alter himself in any genre as Michael Jackson... not just in movement. Here's 3 different versions of Taemin: Taemin - WANT, Taemin - MOVE, Taemin - IDEA. He has Michael's aura.
*This is the gift he gave us before he left to do his mandatory military service.
Taemin is my solo love 💞💞💞💞that song is his masterpiece in everything...song, performance, choreo, style. Love it.
Taemin is goated this song is constantly on repeat for me
Taemin is amazing.
YESSS A Taemin reaction ! Let's introduce you to my favorite male solo artist haha !
Hence why in the lyrics he says, "I destroy the torso that you were chasing after." He's tired of people thinking they even have a say in what he does with his body.)
This song was specifically designed to not be like anything he has ever done before.
Another theme in "Advice" is about how Taemin is embracing his androgynous side -- but on his own terms -- which I think is a continuation of the message in his "Move" MV. You also see him wearing makeup, but it's smeared on his face, as if to say, "people may think of me as a 'Pretty Boy,' but I don't care about looking pretty."
In the lyrics he is saying, "It's creepy how people are always looking to cause drama, so stop trying to create scandals in my life that don't really exist.
Teamin debuted with Shinee in 2008 when he was just fourteen years old. Teamin is incredibly talented singer Dancer Vocalist and Preformer
Taemin’s style is sexy, edgy and unique. Please react to more of his music videos, he’s amazing.
I am ARMY 💜 but Taemin is my favorite solo artist. I’m happy you are branching out and finding more Kpop artists you like. ☺️ You’ll never be disappointed by him. Great reactions and thank you for diving into the lyrics and deeper meanings of the art of this music. 👏🏻
Taemin is a legend of k Pop and one of the greatest dancers .He deserves more recognition ...
We need more teamin's reactions pls🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Yes!!!! TAEMIN! HE IS A GOD!!!! 😍 MORE TAEMIN PLEASE!
teamin's "move" is THE masterpiece, you should check it out too
FUCK YES.
Yesss you damn right he's not a Micheal Jackson.. His himself.. His freaking taemin that we love
Yes, the Korean Michael Jackson is a good definition
@@Mariajbh2 it's not like he copies Michael as many idols straight up take moves from Michael Taemin himself has combined Michael's dace style and had proven successful in creating his own unique dance styles that is reminiscent of Michael but not exactly Michael either as he has done many moves that look like something Michael would do but Michael never did any of them he did! 🙂
@@sajjadali-taeminsteppedony8434 I only try to do a paralelism, a singer and dancer with seems abilities as Michael, I didn't say he copies movements, sounds, etc
@@Mariajbh2 no no of course you didn't I am sorry if my comment felt that way i was just tryin to be more informative I didn't wanna sound rude 🤗
@@sajjadali-taeminsteppedony8434 OK, don't problem
I love him so much like bts.. He's such a artist !! You should see criminal, idea, want, move and famous I know you like it
Omg yes I can't wait for you to dig deeper into Taemin's catalogue! And hopefully SHINee and the other members solo stuff. I think you'll love it all!

Taemin is a phenomenal artist, constantly evolving and perfecting his craft to his own vision and standards. There is no one like him out there! Please continue to look into him-you will be so happy you did!
Taemin actually has some tattoos , for example the flower on his side tummy. But most of it is just painted on , but its insanely beautiful.
Iirc he has two, the flaming heart on his arm and the flower on his side
Taemin is called the "king of kpop" and the "Idol's Idol" for a reason. As you said Taemin very diferent as a whole artist. The top soloist is him. Please keep reacting to him. I suggest CRIMINAL, IDEA
YES THIS DOES DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION. i don't know if my head was in the gutter or if the whole kpop industry was just sleeping but i never heard a huge commotion about this song nd i was so SURPRISED coz this was literally a song in my top 10 from 2021 nd is literally my fav tt from taemin so far

yup! really don't like how close minded some army can be, there's a whole world out there.
You talked about his flow as a rapper, ironically he’s not a rapper, he’s a singer predominately but whatever he does, he excels at
I've never clicked so fast! Looking forward for more Taemin reactions 🥺💖💖🛐
I just want to say: 😭😭😭. In all seriousness, thank you Jessi and Anthony!! Taemin is my ultimate idol. He is a legend. He is ART with all capital letters. ❤️💜👏😀
that's funny, i recently started to listen to taemin a few days ago and im loving all his title tracks so far
He is incredibly precise, and yet very expressive.
yesssssssss finally taemin
Thank you very much for such an excellent analysis of the lyrics, and not just the visual component. You laid out at once the whole essence that Taemin was trying to convey with this song and the video itself. It was filmed before leaving for the military and he wanted to express himself and everything he had to face in the industry: ridicule, humiliation due to appearance, the way he danced and expressed himself as an artist. This is a turning point and the beginning of something new, but already on his return. Not all fans were even able to understand what you were talking about. Thank you very much
This all starts from his album that came out in 2020 the legendary album had Act 1 &2,
Never Gonna Dance Again album Act 1
In act 1 criminal Mv was released(it is a taemin song) the song referred to being in a toxic relationship with oneself and fame and was based on Stockholm syndrome, and how it might affect taemin as he does everything for his fame and has development a toxic relationship with it and he enjoys it very much but the side effects of it aren't so kind to him! It explained about taemin having to pretend and be depressed and nervous all the time to meet the expectation of that someone else referred as fame!
Never gonna dance Again Act 2
This is where things take a turn and also it is also having direct connections to criminal and 2 kids mvs, it is about him discovering that he wants to be an idea(he released his IDEA mv in this act 2) of himself that is based on Plato's theory of forms and the ideal state he believes that there is an ideal taemin he wants to achieve the ideal taemin is there and to achieve that he has now made a toxic relation with it and wants to obsessively achieve it!
ADVICE
Advice is the closing and begining as taemin stated quote from demian by Herman hesse for this album "the bird must destroy the egg the egg is the word one must first destroy a world in order to be reborn into a new world the bird flies to god names abraxas god of both good and evil perfect imperfect etc." So using this quote in advice wearing the white and black suit the chess board and the dancer outfits being black and white too, he is also embracing the feminine and masculine looks(as he was criticized for being too feminine by media since start of his career) he is wearing the makeup but it is teary to show the pain of it all, he is rocking a white crop top and bra yet he is performing masculine hard hitting dance moves, he is singing in crazy high falsetto and at the same time in a very deep voice almost rapping so the accident was basically him going off the rails and as he finally embraces the new and rebellious ego and destroys the world( as in the abraxas story and destruction is referred to as car accident) and embraces his new ego at the last scene with the Christ pose as being reborn and complete into a new chapter of his life while the car in the background and the paint on his body signifies the ending of the previous chapter of his life and bruises he got from it now after he comes from military he will be this new rebellious Taemin!!
So in conclusion,
Act 1 = realising the toxic relationship with his ego and fame,
Act 2 = egos colliding disturbing peace and a new idea forming a new imperfectly perfect self!
TAEMIN IS SO ARTISTIC HE ALWAYS CREATE A GENRE FOR HIM ONLY
I found your channel cause of this particular Taemin reaction (I’m an ardent fan of him and his artistry) and I really loved your deep analysis and your references (Edgar Allan Poe - wow, absolutely! A lot of Taemin’s lyrics are very poetic!) I can’t say I’m surprised that you instantly identified Taemin as a super unique and impactful artist, cause the same happened to me couple of years back - I saw thanks to YT algorithm his other spectacular song “Move” and literally after 1 minute I was convinced he’s an exceptional, one in a generation artist…
I really hope you’ll react to more of his songs and hopefully performances.
TAEMIN MY KING 👑 a complex and beautiful man, he’s an enigma. Love Taeminnie 💜
Omg he loves it 😭 you have too se moorrreee

He is that good and thats just it :D If you liked this song by him I can recommend his other songs as well especially Criminal. Taemin is Amazing! His music is such a Mood! I recommend “Move”.

He is my favourite solo artist in kpop. He so artistic and nothing he does is ever easy to expect.
