I really liked your methods here for building your castle walls so I decided to follow your instructions and "Hit the like button and subscribe!"! Usually, I have to watch a couple of videos before I do that but decided to do it the other way around this time! So I'll be binge-watching and commenting on more videos! Great video!
Excellent! Super stoked to hear that you liked this castle wall build, it is still one of my favorite projects👍. Thanks for your kind comments as well and I hope you enjoy the other builds on our channel!
Awesome build and great technique. Love the idea of gluing 2 sheets of foam board for the walls instead of cutting some thicker insulation sheets. Just discovered your channel, so now I'll go check out some of your earlier vids. Subscribed.
Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed that build... It was fun and I just sort of let this project take shape as I worked on it👍
Good job. This is useful terrain, but not for castles. Castles have battlements that defenders can fight from. This is a wall surrounding a stately home, perhaps.
You are 100% correct and my brother pointed that out right after I finished making these. I did make another video where I added the battlements to the castle walls: th-cam.com/video/5hA4-TqCjY0/w-d-xo.html I think I'm going to redo the thumbnail based on your comment... Thanks for watching!
These are fabulous. I need a lot of walls as i am starting a Age of Sigmar city board. These also would be perfect for the city walls dividing the districts etc... Is there a way to buy the roller without having to 3D print it yourself? Because i dont have a 3D printer.
Hi, thank you very much for the positive feedback! I really enjoyed this project and was very pleased with the end result. Regarding the rollers, we supported a Kickstarter campaign a while back which gave us license to print and sell these. Although we were more interested in using these ourselves for various crafting projects, I would be happy to print any of these if you're interested in purchasing? I believe the cost to print and ship one is around $14. $9 per roller and $5 for shipping. Cheaper if you get more than one as the shipping is flat rate... At any rate, let me know and I can follow up with you via email.
@@thecraftingbrothers9448 Hi, you're very welcome. Well deserved too because these are awsome 👍. Yes i would be interested, but i live in Belgium and i am not sure what the shipping costs are to send them here. The price is great for them and i defenitly can use a few 😁. Where can i find your email?
@@alrethianscraftsbattles our email is kraftykindseths@gmail.com. Not sure about the shipping cost either, however, if you want to email me a shipping address, I can find out for you.
Hi sorry for the late reply... I 3D printed those statues, here's the link to the file: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4175941 I did also scale it down to size
It really is! Like rusty nails in my spine. It looks like a lot of fun though. I’ll just have to find some kind of foam that has similar properties but none of the downsides.
Good question... that would be ideal, however, the pink XPS foam that we have out here on the West coast is very dense and it doesn't take the 3D texture rollers well at all. The Dollar Tree foam, on the other hand, is much less dense so the rollers work much better. Here's a link to my video on texture rollers with all that info: th-cam.com/video/80QiEFpHPwc/w-d-xo.html
How did I miss This! this is one of those videos ill find myself coming back to.
Thank you! Can't wait to see what you put up next! I'm posting tonight!

Thank you!! Really appreciate your support, thanks for watching and please spread the word👍
Man, that looks great, love the brighter stone work, so much more appealing than slate gray on everything
Cool! Thanks for that comment, I really appreciate the positive feedback👍
Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work

Where did you find the brick wall roller tool?
It was a kickstarter. We are doing a video on the rollers next week. Thanks for watching
🙌🙌
I’d love to do stuff like this, but the feel and sound of that foam, I just can’t.
Sounds like working with this foam is like fingernails on a chalkboard for you? That's a bummer!

Why not use thicker foam?
