I like that alot. I have a black Raiders mini helmet. Also I paint pocket pro helmets for a hobby. You can use good automotive paint or model paint for them if they aren't being used on field. 👍🏈

I have a navy blue helmet. And my face mask is baby blue. My coach is asking for us to paint everything matte black. Do I need to sand the face mask cause it was originally grey? And do i need to primer everything?

I need to repaint a facemask that I already spray painted? Do you recommend sanding the facemask? I usually just primer and paint right over them.

If you buy a paint + primer spray bottle, do you still need to use primer before painting just in case or should the paint + primer be fine

I would sand them both to create some grit for the paint to stick...use primer before you paint it with the matte black

Do you always use clear coat? When I use clear coat it often wrinkles the paint and causes it to check. How do I avoid that?
How long do u wait to add the clear coat? Are you spraying it evenly?

Not all the time. If it is a helmet that has been painted over before then yes. But if its the original color of the helmet then no.
