Not all dealers are marking up the C8. There are many dealers that are selling at MSRP if you are willing to wait a year for your order to be fulfilled.

@@omardrives I live in a cold climate so we don’t have many problems with that because the cold kills them off during our long winters. I had a bright yellow Geo Storm about 30 years ago and I had zero problems with bugs. I’m going to have a clear bra added to my C8 and have it ceramic coated so not much will stick to it. I’m getting that exact car and it’s coming off the assembly line in the next few days.

Great looking car and performance. Honestly fantastic deal for what it brings. Great review. My only two complaints, back side does look a little strange but I understand it is for compromise for luggage space. And that yellow looks a little pale or limey. Otherwise superb vehicle.
You said you need to get the Z51 package to get high performance exhaust. Not true. You can order the high performance exhaust as a separate upgrade. I have a 1LT w/ high performance exhaust but no Z51 package.
Like yoir review. Black nacelles and black roof are a costly option as well but look nice. You strongly recommended the $5000 (now $6,000) Z51 option. Would you order and pay for it you dont want to drive on a track?
I have this car in this color. Convertible with black top. Don’t need Z51 unless your are tracking the car and the rear end looks better without the Z51 wing. I haven’t seen a single bug but it may be too cold where I live for that to be an issue.I’ve only had an overwhelming positive reaction to the color. Looks so much better in person.
It's the truth, I own a yellow C7 Corvette & compared to my silver Malibu the bugs just love landing on the Corvette more....I still love the yellow on the Corvettes though
You can find plenty of videos of the C8 smoking the C7, even by guys several guys thar own both cars. Plenty of videos of the C8 doing 60 well under 3 seconds including by the car magazines like Motor Trend. The C8 made the C7 obsolete, especially the hard top convertible.

Perhaps you own a C7 and are trying to justify keeping it over a C8. Professional auto reviewers have called the C8 the best car GM has ever made. There is good reason why GM gave up on front engine sports cars.
@@schwagier No you didn't. Only Dragy measures, plots and verifies elevation, longintudinal G (confirms gearing and stock tune) and distance traveled every 0.01 seconds. The GM PDR is off from Dragy's plot by 1.5 to 2 seconds, always showing hilariously too fast. You can also see the GM OBD2 PDR, which isn't even fast enough to display mph on the C8 speedo in less than 20mph chunks, is absurd garbage just by downloading any 0-60 video and using the 1/60th sec time stamps to get actual time elapsed. A PDR readout of 2.7 seconds equates to about 4.65 seconds actual. C8s at my local drag strip can't break 12.1 secs, and Dragy won't verify this track because its more than 1% downhill. The C8 is slow AF. Obviously, since the only relevant change from C7 base model, which ran a 12.08 the same night, is 500 additional pounds.

its not a sportscar dork it accelerates faster than a mclaren p1 and aventador , porsche 911, ferrari 458, top speed is 194 mph its a F in supercar! there are no sportscars that can do that lol plus its a great track car its not a sportscar duh
