    This is by far the best instructional video on the timing belt removal and install!

    Thank you for ypur effort in making this video. I've got the 2006 Highlander Hybrid, and Im going to do the belt and water pump. I may change the cam and crank seals while I'm in there. I'd be happy to see any other maintenance you do on this car. There's not much content out there. I just did the control arms and engine mounts and that was a pain.

      You're welcome, my friend. There will be more videos about other maintenance for this car in the future.

    Thanks for your video. Is this the exact same procedure for an RX400h 2007?

      I am not quite 100% sure if your 2007 Lexus RX400h uses the same motor as my 2007 Highlander Hybrid.
      If it uses the same motor and everything looks the same, then my video should be the same procedure for your 2007 Lexus RX400h.
      Please let me know if you find anything out about it and keep me posted. I really do appreciate it.

    Hi, I spent a couple days following your video with my timing belt. The first time the marks were off because I couldn’t find the back mark to line up. I turned the car on, it ran, then there was a sound like a loose bolt and the car turned off. I took everything apart and started all over again making sure to line up each mark correctly. I couldn’t replace the water pump because the studs were stripped, but I changed everything else. Put everything back together still heard a sound as though a bolt was loose. The car will run then shut off. Now the lights turn on however the car will not start. Any ideas on what I can fix?

      How far was the mark off? By a lot? The mark is critical and needs to be lined up. That was the first thing that was critical. Make sure everything is lined up correctly and you can go feom there. I hope this helps.

      @@MrBeeHSI will check it again. Is it okay to re-compress the tensioner using a jack & under my car?

    How long do these particular brand last compared to oem timing belt?

    • @MrBeeHS
      @MrBeeHS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They are pretty good, last pretty long time until the next service. I got them because of a lifetime warranty. Once it's time to replace the belt again, I'll just go get another kit for free.
      I do use them in all of my previous vehicles, and they do last a long time.

    What do you estimate was the total time for you to do the replacement?

    • @MrBeeHS
      @MrBeeHS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It'll take about 3 hours to complete the job....that's without making an instructional video.

    the aisin kit that toyota use is about $170 , what is the cost difference and why not just use that kit?

    • @MrBeeHS
      @MrBeeHS  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. The kit that I used and not Toyota is because it's a lifetime warranty kit, and Toyota is not.
