One detail I like is in “The Bad Guy’s gonna win” when Crow has Mack bound in a chair Mack’s just giving him the death glare the whole time, but here when Becky has Mack bound in a chair he has a nervous look. Crow is great and evil and all, but Becky?...she’s scary.
Best Becky moment IMO was in the web comic. She executed two minions for taking the last of the breakroom coffee and not refilling the pot. The ultimate evil office manager, even in a villainous organization some crimes are unforgivable early in the morning!
I swear, Crow and Becky feel so iconic despite them not appearing in the radar popularity-wise. Everything these characters do and say just feel so quotable and so memorable like: "I am not your friend, I'm your secretary." "Heroes always lose!" "Mackapple gone sour!" I genuinely love Nefarious and everyone in it and I wiah more people knew about it's existence

This honestly makes me want a Nefarious animated series... And I don't mean Villainous. If Nefarious wasn't so unknown to many people, I bet people would be calling Villainous a rip off of it. Why I say that? Both have villain protagonists and the titles essentially mean the same thing. It honestly makes me wonder why Villainous got so popular while this fell under the radar. This is an enjoyable indie franchise while Villainous is a franchise owned by a big name company, and I think I just answered my own question.

Crow is a villain that knows his cliches, being in the business for so long that he's made friends with the princess, won as the bad guy, and continues to go along with his breaking of the status quo. Black Hat is one who revels in his villainy, but instead of a deconstruction of heroes and villains, he markets himself as a suppler and company brand for villains, and only ever see that. Another thing is that Villainous does have some relevance to now, more recent and still ongoing. It's more popular, because we're at the stage of it being popular. I'm sure Nerferious had it's own period of fame, it's just passed now. ...Markiplier's role in 505 also helps I think.

Personally, I think that's the core of what makes a "dark protagonist" character good. That they're (to some extent, at least) genuinely evil and will do things a more traditional vanilla hero wouldn't dream of. Such characters are often the most relatable because an actual person is never wholly good nor wholly evil. Like Deadpool, for example. The tricky part is making them still likeable, and not COMPLETE lunatics, so you can justify their role as the protagonist.

Nice attention to detail with when Crow switches to his suit and tie his right hand is bandaged since he lost it and probably has a metal one to replace it.
Funny thing is...I watched this without knowing what it was about and just heard the song and I still loved it but then I learned more about it and now I love it 10x more! 10/10
