There's an isolated drum track of the original here on YT. Almost every section is varied and different, lots of improvisation. It's a crazy 'Wonder'ful drum performance. Thanks for this vid, learning this one. Very helpful.

Hi Bruce, are you practicing finger control and Moeller "whip" stuff, rudiments etc? It's all about getting your hands in shape man!

You are correct. The beat starts with just 1 bass drum hit, but eventually there are 2 hits at times. It's easily audible on the original track, if you listen.
