Dennis is 200% right about big characters being easier and having advantage in an environment full of newer players. My friends thought they were totally broken too when we played, but eventually found certain Technique characters like Peach and Paratrooper to be very VERY good. I think a lot of it has to do with the depth. Power characters don't really have a lot to them other than being big and hitting the ball really hard, while Technique and Tricky characters have some kind of gimmick to them that only THEY can really do.
Bowser is definitely the best Power player, if not then Petey Piranha, but neither of them are even close to being the best character in the game. Wiggler is technically bigger than Bowser at least, but has very clear weaknesses like his defensive shot being bad and have like almost no power in his swing.

So I guess I can be the nerd, the word is actually “lackadaisical,” there’s not an x or s sound in the beginning, and it means lazy in a sense of not taking something seriously, so your day off of work would not be lackadaisical, unless of course you were supposed to go into work and elected not to.
