      Thanks! This was a crappy day with all the rain and wind. The rest of my trip was sunny and amazing! I lucked out with the weather. 🤓

    27 USD for a cheese burger!? Are you sure youve left the airport?

    Soon going to purchase 5 acres on heavengraven rd. bye logenvaten lake. My great grandfather migrated to Puerto Rico and my mom met them and said how they spoke in Icelandic.

    Love how you film. What kind of camera did you use? How was the battery life?

    • @MrMontiel
      @MrMontiel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I used a GoPro, but the battery life is terrible. I also use the Sony FDRX, much better battery life than the GoPro, but I think they discontinued it. 😞

      Thanks! I went in June and really lucked out with the weather. Was there for 11 days, and only rained that first day. Looking forward to going back soon. Thanks for watching, be sure to like and subscribe! 🤓

    I want to know how you charge your camera battery. Where to go when you need to charge your batteries once you reach your campsite?

    • @MrMontiel
      @MrMontiel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That was one of my biggest concerns, so I carried two battery packs (each can charge my phone fully 3x). I also have 3 cameras I vlog with; Sony FDRX & Sony ZV1 (same batteries, carry 10 of them) and my GO Pro (carry 8 batteries). My vehicle charged my phone while I drove, and anytime stopped to each, I would charge any drained batteries. I also stay in a few hostels/Airbnb’s along the wH, so had the opportunity to charge all my devices then. Was actually easier than I though. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe & Like! 🤓

      @@MrMontiel thanks for the details..which gopro version do you have? I'm going to Iceland in June and all I have is a gopro hero 7 black.,used it once..do you recommend other cameras that are budget friendly? Would like to film some great footage in Iceland without having to change battery every 10 minutes. Thanks so much for any tips

    Did you rent the campervan from Kuku campers? Was it expensive?

    • @MrMontiel
      @MrMontiel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris - Yep, I rented from kuku campers and they were great! It is a little pricey, but I saved on not staying in hotels so it evened out. And honestly, being able to camp out and be under the stars in Iceland beats any hotel. I plan to visit and rent again this Summer. 🤓

    Hello where is the campsite located ?

    • @MrMontiel
      @MrMontiel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the campground is call “Pakgil”. North of Vik, Iceland. Long, slow road to get to, but definitely worth it. Thanks for watching, be sure to like and subscribe! 🤓

    Nicely done. Oste Rejer is not Icelandic; I think it's Danish and means Cheese Puffs. Osta Stjörnur is Icelandic and means Cheese Stars. That one is pretty popular. Lauk Hringir just means onion rings. Looking forward to the next one!
