Just be Sandi. If it feels right, go with that in regards to your vlog. I enjoy the farming, the lambing, watching the babies leap about, but YOU are what makes this a channel I can’t get enough of.
You talking about watching the births and it being magical. Wanted to share our 2 year old's sweet words after seeing baby lambs on our camera last night..."God gave us babies!"
So good to see you just living in the moment. One of my favorite sayings is "Life isn't about the breaths you take but it's about the moments that take ur breath away". Being present to witness the miracle of life is truly worthy of that saying!! You know ur a pro when you were just elbow deep in ewe-terus and now ur smiling from ear to ear. Ur amazing!!!
Thank you for this series. I love at the end. Who you say. You stop and sit with them. It's magical. All I can say. You're a true Mum. You embrace birthing so naturally. Not many women out there would agree with you.
No matter how many times you experience births you never tire of that miracle. I think of the people that never experience it and I feel sad for them. I never tire of it. You are doing great girl. Thank you for sharing with us.
Wow! What big lambs you have to pull ! Love to see a hard working devoted caretaker of the flock create great videos. Worked in the cattle business when younger. Calves are much harder to pull. It's wonderful when one can save a newborn. Your videos are full of info and entertaining.
found your channel a few weeks ago and look forward to your videos every morning. Thank you for taking the time to share your journey with us.. I know it's probably exhausting. I appreciate it so much.
It is quite magical Sandi!!! And you are doing a super duper ooper job 👌👍😁. If I had sheep you’d be my mentor. Rest when you can and enjoy the fruits of your labor. 😇🙏
I love your vlogs, and you help me so much by watching you work through situations and problem solve. I was very good at it but I've been knocked off my feet by divorce at 61 so I'm figuring my life out all over again. I love watching the moms and babies and I admire your genuine love and affection you have for your ewes and babies. You live west of Toronto and I live North of Toronto so it seems like a friend in my own backyard is just getting through the day too, only your day had sweet lamb cuddles so I watch them vicariously through you! Happy New Year to you and your hubby.
I am so amazed at how in tune as a Shepard you are to your flock. You just know when your mama lambs need help. It's like you have finally developed that 6th sense that comes from years of experience. You are an inspiration to many and you love the animals you care for. Although I will never be a farmer I have learned a lot about how much blood sweat and tears it takes to raise the animals for our food, clothing and medicine. Good animal husbandry is an art.Thank you for all you do Sandi. I hope this new year brings much prosperity. Happy Sheeping.
Love how you are so compassionate with your babies. Their all so cute!! But i have to admit that the black n white ones and the spotted faced ones are my favorites.. ❤ much love to you and your family this new year
thank so much for your vlogs. I look forward to watching them even though I am not into farming....you are sooo hard working and a real inspiration. Happy New Year!
I recently found your channel and I have been enjoying your videos. I thought of something that might help you when it comes to the multiples. Why not add an "A", "B", "C", and "D"? So an example would be 101A, 101B, etc. This way you will have a better chance of remembering which lamb to pull or which ones drank. Just a thought. No worries if you don't like it. Keep up the great work. PS I'm not that far from you (approx 2 hours or so) and think you are doing a great job representing Ontario and Ontario farmers.
The color indicates how many mom had. Single is a specific color twin are different color triplets are a different color and quads are a different color too. Pink blue green purple
@@samanthaflynn6140 I know. I only mentioned it because Sandi said she thinks she grabbed the wrong lamb to put on the bottle. Adding that little extra could help make it easier to remember (or to write down) so the next day she will be able to find the ones that need the bottle or need extra attention. She has over 100 babies (I don't remember the exact amount she said in her previous videos) so it can't hurt, in my opinion, to have a little extra help. Then again, she is much better at telling the babies apart so maybe my suggestion won't help at all. That is okay. Just wanted to be of some help and try to make things a bit easier for her.
Happy New Year Sandi!! It was so awesome to watch these ewes and lambs today. Nothing brightens my days more than this! Thanks again for another great video of "In the Barn of Ewes"
I love that you love your sheep so much. I used to work on a hog farm and was a gilt breeder. I did not work in the farrow barns, unless we gave vaccines, but it was still so awesome to be apart of the whole life cycle. I love and miss farming so much. Thank you for sharing your passion with us all.
Regarding pen space. You've got the bottle babies penned laterally to the trough. They aren't using that trough, but the adults need it. Maybe reshape the pen longitudinally. Trough gets freed up and babies have same floor space, and can still access the feeding machine.
I love this channel so much. Sandi, you’re amazing. Sometimes I think I’m too tired, then I think of you and I get up. I often have your channel on in the background bc I find the sound soothing. (Vlogs I’ve already seen, of course!) I had 4-H lambs and I miss it. I wish I could get into this field!
Your scanner should be able to tell you which multiple lambers will be late and which ones will lamb early. Here in Australia we will seperate these and feed the late ones less. It would be very easy in a shed situation to modify the feed for these later lambing ewes. We also feed the single lambers less than the twinners and that is in a paddock situation. Too much unnecessary feed late in the pregnancy will result in large lambs and birthing problems.
Sandy thank you thank you for sharing vlogmas and the hole lambing time!! This was the best gift this year, its been a hard one for me but each day you gave me something to smile for cause the new life is the best gift to share. Thank you for all the extra work and time you put in to give us this wounderful gift. Happy New Year to you and yours from southwestern Michigan.
The lambs are incredibly precious! You work so hard and and keep up with so many different things. Have a wonderful New Year and hope all the ewes deliver and you get a chance to rest a bit!

Lots of "Oreos" this time. Each one getting cuter.

I’m partial to the Oreos
I wonder the Oreos are turning up now did he have to wait until the other ones were tired
I don’t think any self respecting male will ever admit to being tired.
