I keep coming back as well- I feel like I understand the story a bit better each time I watch.
Wow. These films are just dripping with achetypical and Hermetic symbolism.
The Knight, the pilot, the boy, and the young man are all the divine masculine, the self. The fairy is the divine feminine. Ill call them by their hermetic names Sol and Luna.
Sol is the archetypal hero, and Luna the virgin (the beauty and reward of conquering chaos). Sol seeks Luna desperately in every incarnation, he faces the forces of darkness (desire, fear, death) in order to be united with her (the divine marriage, union of the ego with the world, mystical gnosis)
As the child, the forces of darkness entrap him. He both fears them and is enthralled by them. As the knight, he conquers them to be united with his bride. As the old man, he sees them unmasked as healers/wise men who allow him to know Luna. As the young man, they haunt him in his mundane life, pushing him and guiding towards his true purpose of self knowing/divine marriage.
The overall theme is the deep calling of the spiritual life. It's not something that can be ignored or forgotten, and no material pleasure or wordly imitation of union can replace the desire for the thing itself.
There are other important things I could dissect but I'd be analyzing it for hours. Beautiful series of films.

This absolute masterpiece..So much symbolism in those 16 minutes! For example meeting your much older self/past incarnation, who gives you some message...I can´t imagine anything more powerful. Or reuniting with your soul(which the girl symbolises) after such a long time. And all accompanied by incredible music. It touches me to the core.
holy hell i have never been so moved by a series....it speaks so true to my current feelings, probably in a different context but still...i have been moved to tears in every video...i cannot believe it took me 8 yrs to come accross this absolute masterpiece..
It has touched my heart. I lost my brother because of suicide and all the symbolism in those beautiful movies talks to my soul. I see the fight against depression and the quest for meaning...
I'm so sad for ben and his family. I wish you hope, brother, he helps those who are in quest of meaning now, sure !

I don't even know where to start, while I sit here with tears in my eyes because of the scene with the old man an the boy.
The KIN Trilogy is a modern fairytale on a very high level. I love the play by connection magic, childrendreams and hopes with the realworld. I love how the characters are shown. We just know a littel now but there is so much more space to fill with our own thoughts and dreams. I love the music, the atmosphere always gives me a chill. A good one.
It was a twist of fate that I found your chanel and I am really glad about it.
I just can't wait to see what you are planning next and I wish you all good and luck for future projects and visions on your path.

omggg when he took the plane out from the water!!!!! This is 500000000 times better than any five season long TV show or 900000 page book. You said so much with no words. Now I'm peechless.
God this entire series is so beautifully shot, aesthetically beautiful and so deep on so many levels. Words cannot express how inspiring and beautiful this work of art is. I would wager that it is among the most beautiful pieces of art the earth has ever seen. And I hope you guys are still working on a full length feature. I would pay to see that a billion times over in the theater. This work of art has truly touched my heart in ways that most films simply cannot. I aspire to achieve this level of mastery in all my life. Even if this trilogy is it you guys can easily call this your magnum opus. Please never stop doing what you guys have done here with these three films.

I'm reading all these comments from years ago.... I'm sad I've only discovered the KIN Trilogy in April 2023! My mind has changed much, but there was a time this would have DESTROYED me. Now... it simply makes me reflect. Deeply.
Made me think about Demian from Hermann Hesse.. how the kid goes trought life growing up and becoming 'evil' as he discovers the world and the darkests pleasures as he becomes an adult he loses that pure mind of a child. This film is so moving and dreamy
If you're lucky blessed with grace you will find this type of magic or serendipity at least once when you discover where you need to be. I hope to experience the feeling of where I truly belong once more before I leave this place. I hope you that read this can relate of even in a small way. Thanks you to whomever took part in the making ofthese videos are a source of solace for my soul after so much loss in our lives we cling to what we relate to best. God bless.!

У меня просто ком в голе встал от увиденного и услышанного! Прямо насквозь пробирает! Как будто в другую реальность перемещаешься! После таких видео понимаешь, что вся эта суетная жизнь не имеет никакого духовного смысла!
Oleg Ivlenkov потрясающая современная сказка о том, что нужно ценить время и тех, кто по-настоящему любит нас. Тут мечты ребёнка воплощены во взрослом человеке, а встреча со стариком и момент передачи ожерелья только напоминает о том, что нужно «жить», а не «существовать». О том, что не нужно прекращать мечтать и поддаваться современному миру и его «требованиям», о том что время, к сожалению, скоротечно.
Кто жизнь познал,тот больше не спешит.

Each time, eagerly swallowing the eyes of the magnificent video sequence, combined with music, which creates a unique atmosphere, I find my point. It's perfect. This was such an emotional and amazing conclusion to the trilogy! It was most definitely worth the wait and I am so pleased with the ending! I still want to know more and I am most definitely going to buy the graphic novel when it becomes available, but wow. This is just fantastic. This was everything I was hoping for the ending and more.

This trilogy has been an amazing experience! I was skeptical when I looked it up after it having been referenced, but it proved I'm too skeptical of a person in general. Good work! Can't wait to have the story clarified (I'm probably going to be thinking about possibilities for a couple nights now).

I've been waiting for so long to see Salvage and Requiem, and I must imagine how magic and amazing this journey has been for you too. I couldn't imagine anyone else making the music than Sea Oleena. You have created and given life to a world of magic and simplicity. It reminded me that we're all magical creations somehow. And I came to your world with a feeling that I belonged to it. Thank you for this experience, I'm a great fan of you and I hope you never give up of making films and telling these stories to people like me.
