Gamenerdz day is great for those of us with limited money that aren't gifted games by publishers, they don't do black Friday and if it wasn't for consumerism, your channel wouldn't exist. And some of us know what games we want when they are on sale. Eventually, most people realise they have too many games, too little time, not enough space.. and so stop buying too many games.
If it's one thing that turned me off from gamefound is that they are just as (or more) anti consumer than kickstarter. They could have innovated the crowdfunding boardgame space but they just decided to say, fuck it, we'll just do what others do. Like "funded in X" etc. And things they "innovated", like stretch-pay, are even more anti-consumer than anything kickstarter has.
@@arcaderunner2188 yeah, it's crazy how much good will they gathered solely because they are a competitor for Kickstarter, which now makes people just overlook everything anti-consumer. Like even the whole "stable pledge" idea I'm sure they legally can enforce lol. And I'm sure they didn't just up their prices by 10% just so they can tick that badge...

Really appreciate this take from you. Alot of the time i catch myself backing games i dont even want to play because the hype and fomo and even thinking ohh itll be an investment. Stopped doing that and now i watch and see does it actually have everything i want, is it different from everything i already have? Can i wait for retail or a second printing..

My biggest problem with gamenerdz day is it’s coming a few weeks after gencon. Any money I have saved will be going/gone at gencon 😂
