First off, the way he was working those flat noodles was like a man playing the drums and cooking at the same time. All I want to do is get on a plane and go to that little spot next to the bridge and eat his food. This, is a true master chef. I love you Grandpa!

I lived in Bangkok for 4 months. Let me tell you what I learned in that time. The Thai are a fastidiously clean people. They are also industrious, polite and kind to even the lowliest of stray dogs and cats. They are some of the best cooks in the world. But... BUT... They Really like spicy foods. Like REALLY like. The first words I learned in Thai, after hello, thank you, etc were No pepper! They would laugh at me and comply. Wonderful people and food. God Bless them

My wife and I just came back from Thailand and the people in Bangkok are totally awesome... we loved it ... a bit too busy for me coming from Toronto..but they are respectful to all living things...we noticed changes in attitude in Chiang Mai and then Phuket...but honestly it was a great experience! Big shout out to all the folks in Thailand!

Agree! I dropped my wallet in a cab with the equivalent of about $2k in it. The next people in the cab went out of their way to deliver the wallet to the manager of the hotel I was living in. Thankfully, the wife of one of my coworkers saw what was happening and took some money out of my wallet for their troubles.
My heart is warm whenever I see an elderly person still working passionately. ❤ God bless you Grandpa and all the people working together with you to serve delicious food for your fellowmen.

Retirees' health deteriorate if they are doing nothing! Some still have the urge to be busy.
It is good to have a hobby, but dont fall for the trap of working being a moral obligation. It is better to have free time to spend with people you love than to have to work. No one on their death bed will regret having not worked more.
One of the great joys of my life has been having the opportunity to walk around in some communities across Thailand and find food like this. Thai cooking is seriously a gift to humanity.

Did you end up getting food poisoning? Because as soon as I start seeing these street food vendors handling food without wearing any gloves it just grosses me out. They obviously have no concept of preparing food properly. 5:37
@@dailyshenanigans4883 Ate my way through south/central America, India, SE Asia and the only time I got sick was on a guided trip where the food got washed improperly. Street food never made me sick. One of the secrets is to eat only at the busy vendors.

It's kinda sad though I think you are missing out a lot of these amazing food, just find the clean ones.. Thailand is full of street foods like literally everywhere. Oh and I think many restaurants around the world are using their hands to cook, Thai foods have loads of ingredients.. and I don't think they should change 10 gloves for every dishes they make 😅

Grandpa still has it. I would happily enjoy everything on the menu. One of the cleanest street food venue I would happily eat from. Looks absolutely delicious.

I think its even easier at high heat cause you can throw it in all together instead of having to wait minutes to add another vegetable or sauce.
It's a skill that can be learned pretty easily. Just use a wok for all your stove top preparations and sooner or later you figure it out. A wok can do damn near everything
. It's the only pan I own for stove cooking.

The fact that there is little to no communication between the two of them is amazing. They have it all worked out and know what needs to be done. The dish itself looks delicious and the location couldn't be better with the water right next to you to enjoy with your meal.
