Very useful. This is the stuff everyone else doesn't teach... when certain things are only used in written material
I’ve found there are so many words for any, every, all, everything, anything, nothing, something, everyone, anyone, no one, someone , everywhere, anywhere, nowhere, somewhere, etc. And many of them overlap with eachother. Very helpful.

I was lucky that Japanese in my University comes with a conversational component where you are paired with a native speaker. Me being as inquisitive as I am, I asked my conversation partner about how to say "all of a thing," so I learned 全部 already. But all the rest, I was completely unaware of. I just want to say I havent been really hard at studying japanese since my days in high school (mainly cause less free time) but through your videos I have made sure to always retain some level of knowledge and learn new things.
Channels like yours are so incredible, as they allow language to be presented through a relatable and human way, instead of dreary grammar textbooks or dictionaries. Of course, both have their place, but both are also necessary, langauge is human.
Tl;dr, Arigato Misa-sensei!
I only really got acclimated with 全て due to me having my phone in 日本語 mode... then saw it in video games constantly.

it seems like 全て is almost more like "the entirety of" in English, like the 全て食べた example has a more formal or written feeling like "I ate the entirety of it" which... is correct but isn't the right word for spoken English

Actually the difference between subete and zenbu, is a great way to explain the difference between articles "the" and "a" in English for Japanese people.

Thanks Misa-sensei. I'm doing the JLPT and I'm learning new words that all translate to the same in English but I don't know which is formal and which isn't. Like 楽 and 快適 and 心地がいい. It's so frustrating to know since the dictionary just says comfortable. Is there anyway to know?
I often use a website called weblio, a Japanese website mainly intended for Japanese people to learn English and other languages. But you can reverse engineer it for Japanese learning. I will search various words (especially homophones) in the ’例文’ (example sentences) section, and see if I can find any clear differences in the way certain words are used.
If you are learning vocabulary this advanced, you shouldn't translate them at all, but explain them with other Japanese words (this way you can get a better idea of their true meaning); as to where and how to use them, it will come naturally after you encounter them in text or speech

⇒ 事って言いうのは英語では「intangible objects」、その一方物って言いうのは英語では「tangible objects」ということで。

I've encountered all 全て、全部、みんな、ずっと during my Japanese immersion, TH-camrs would most commonly use 全部 I've noticed.

Very useful indeed! But just one question: if zenbu is used for objects and concepts (using mono/koto), zutto is used for time and minna is used for people, what would we use for other living creatures (animals/plants)?
