Genuinely why do people hate gen 7? yea the gen 7 anime took a weird approach, but I've been playing through USUM recently and it's singlehandedly revived my love for the franchise, its really unique and the plot and pokemon are interesting. Is this another gen 5 situation??
@@209_FM The handholding in the first island and the removal of some features in Gen 6 turn some people off. That said though, I think Sun and Moon is the best 3D Pokemon game.
Many previous Pokémon games will only get better with age because the newer games comparatively are lacking in quality and polish. Not to say the 3Ds games didn’t also lack quality and polish in some key areas but you can’t seriously tell me that sword and shield were better than all the games that came before it for there time.
If it provides you assurance, Alola’s my second favorite Pokémon region (just behind Sinnoh/Hisui). I found it to be a fun change of pace with a compelling story and nice Hawaiian/tropical aesthetics and Pokémon.
The theme of the music is so interesting. The high pitch notes gives the music an eerie touch sensing for the dark secrets of the paradise. Yet in front of the dark secrets, we see paradise... a litteral one. The metallic digital tunes give the music the sense that you're in the place of ultimate advancement, modernity and perfection. The tone also reminds water, the seas of Alola and the location of the Paradise. Truly an interesting dualistic in such a short theme of the game.
No. It just emanates peace, ethereal peace. Pure peaceful state of being. No "dark secrets" and I don't hear no water as well. But yes, technological perfection. And it also feels emotionless, but in a good way
@@jaylion5976 Why man (natural)-made with natural resources and natural objects isn't natural, but an animal nest is? Artificial is just a stupid word for a monkey to describe the intelligent way of shaping matter by the hands of a creature. Hence again, ethereal describes the location just fine.
This place was beautiful when exploring, I loved the atmosphere and the the goal to save Pokemon in contrast to team skull *then I went to the lower levels.*
How can this game already feel nostalgic its not even an old gen, it must have something to do with the type of instruments and patterns used feels old school some how
I miss this game so much! This was the generation where I finally got back into pokemon after years away. I spent so much time shiny hunting, battling with my friends on whatever that multiplayer theme park thing was called, learning EV and IV, ect. I even remember the pokemon center birthday thing and it made me so happy! I used to consider black and white my favourite but this generation touches my heart in a way no other ones will.
Oh look! It's the ORAS synth. In all seriousness this is one of my favourite tracks in the game. So soothing and aethereal (sorry) The chords in the backgrouns create small dissonances that signify something is not quite right
It makes me sad that this is nostalgic now. I remember being so hyped for this game when I was in middle school, and now I’ve been graduated from hs for over a year
the way I was 12 when this came out but now I'm going to university this year.... anyway, this track and vibe is so memorable to me from this game, it's so exquisite and fits perfectly
Totally agree! I'm going to university next year, but listening to this still gives me the nostalgic feeling of holding this game in my hands for the first time and it kind of gives me the feeling that I've come so much farther in my life since 5 years ago... it's hard to explain this feeling, but I guess it's a combination of happiness and sadness
This OST just screams Ragnaron Online for me, vibing in a town with your fellas, selling stuff, opening chat rooms to organize MVP hunts or farming valkies. Good ol' times.
Oh man, it's hard to believe that this game came out 7 YEARS AGO! I got it a few months after release. Specifically I picked up pokémon Moon in January I think of 2017. Why ever did I trade my 3DS?
I absolutely loved Pokemon Sun and Moon. I've just completed Pokemon Sword and it really couldn't compare, extremely mediocre. The story, the atmosphere, everything in Sun and Moon was amazingly well done.

@AustinSPTD1996 Oh Hey, I love Sinnoh too! Mostly because it gave me most of my favorite pokemon like Probopass and Bronzong!
This song always gives me the feeling of stepping into a nice air-conditioned building on a hot day. Very fitting for Alola
The gate theme from B&W gives me that vibe. 😊 It's so... comfy.
Always wondered why I’ve loved this song, thank you for perfectly describing it
