Actually my hometown is Kolar (District Headquarters), and I visit KGF every year.
All people explaining things and facilities so scientifically and factful really liked it keep up the good work
In California there's a mining place called Auburn. The entire place is maintained so well, and the history of gold mining is explained through a guide. The mining equipments used back then and the photographs of the labourers everything is kept intact. There is an entrance fee, and guided tour.. This so called Eldorado in KGF is actually a locality in California, and mining was conducted there too. The government obtained gold reserves by buying back gold from the citizens.Now El dorado is a posh locality, of course mining has been long stopped. India should market its prime tourist places too, not just marketing but preserve the national monuments too.

My father I n law used to work at KGF mines as an engineer 800 people used to work under him they resided beside Mysore hall marikuppam.2months back we visited KGF and met my husband's childhood friends. Please show 138yr old post office and hospital my husband and his siblings used to spend their evenings at Mysore hall he always used to say about Edgar shaft they had a very big bungalow beside Mysore hall given by government.
