I have a field I've been hunting for 18 years. It's seen many people and many machines. However, from the 1790's the property field was for an orphanage. Then it became a school in the 1800s. Then they made a middle school below it in the 1950s. So it was an active sports field for 160 years. I found an IH and Wheats just this year and a silver chain 2 years ago. Still producing and I would not be shocked if it had some more hard-to-find rough deep signals. Cause there is NOTHING obvious left. Happy Hunting!!

The heavy brass item you found was actually a copper crimp it. Linemen use it to crimp copper wires together. It looks like it is a Cf44-1 Blackburn to me. I find them all the time in South Dakota where I detect. Just so you know.Thanks
Here in kentucky I get like 1 silver for every 30 wheats. And i can spend hours at an 1800s house with only 0 or 1 wheats but hundreds of memorial cents.
