    On a side note, I recommend you bring a spotter until you are comfortable driving with night vision. Hey brother,
    I’ve been watching you for awhile and never really commented. The king off-road racing suspension is where I draw my line. I love Kings I have the oem series on my ‘00 tundra and ‘10 suburban. I absolutely love them! Although, make sure that you maintain them. Be prepared to send those bad boys in to King to be rebuilt at around 60k. My ‘00 tundra is at that point and the coilovers have been on for 65k and 5 years with heavy mountain off-roading here in the Lost Sierra mountains and Tehachapi mountains. It’s just my experience.

    Great upgrades. On the air bags, they technically don’t increase your payload capacity. The weight of the air bags and all the other extra’s you installed, actually reduce the available payload capacity (which is listed on the sticker inside your drivers door). My 21 F350 dually 6.7 long bed has a cargo capacity of 5,650lbs. That number, regardless of what I add to the vehicle to decrease squat, never changes, and cannot legally be increased for my truck. You can just about tow a house with your rig, but so many folks pull huge trailers and 5th wheels based only on their GVWR, and that can be a liability problem if you’re involved in a collision. I see F250s all the time pulling 40+ foot 5th wheels and their trucks look leveled out because they have air bags. And if you have a 6.7 diesel there’s plenty of torque to get you anywhere you want to go. Just throwing that piece of information in to inform folks about the CC and how important that number is when planning to tow a trailer. Thanks for the great video!

    • @uselesslyopinionated8447
      @uselesslyopinionated8447 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I live in an area with no scales I and all the the other guys in town run air bags to hide the amount of weight we carry so the cops do not pull us over. I works great for that.

    • @WranglermanLevi
      @WranglermanLevi 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uselesslyopinionated8447 ha, they do add stability to your ride, which makes them safer tow vehicles. While legally may not increase your load carrying capacity but anyone with a brain knows you're vehicle will handle the weight better with airbags and logically would increase your safe load carrying capacity. I'm not recommending exceeding your vehicles weight limits but all the trucks I've had with airbags handle 10x better than stock trucks.

Didn't go with coilovers on the front, but did the 2.5" King remote reservoir shocks all around, track bar, progressive leaf's and airbags running on 18" rims and 37" tires. I could tell stories but in summary, that setup will never let you down. Rides better than my 1/2 ton, goes off-road even better and hauls max GCWR like it's empty. Why every man doesn't own one is beyond me! lol - interesting IR idea BTW. (look at AMP steps)

    I like to see trucks modified for actual work, not just mall crawling. I have K02’s on my F250, live in SC but have been in WY and VA in winter and they are great in snow (used to travel for my previous employer). I installed my own front facing cam because there is such a big blind spot in front of these trucks, especially when cresting over a hill (I know the newer trucks have this as a factory option).
    I also like that I am not the only one who did not go diesel even though it is a work truck.

    Hutchinson double beadlocks would be a great choice. DOT approved. Maybe consider selectable locking differentials for the axles as well. For the rear, a company called Sulastic makes a leaf spring shackle dampener. It doesn’t impact towing or hauling capability but can negate a lot of road and gravel bumps. Oh, and traction bars for the rear axle.

    Cody, a way to keep Mrs. W happy with the running boards while also increasing ground clearance would be to install folding running boards, my father has had electronic folding running boards on his truck from AMP Research for years now and never had any issues with them, although they can be costly ($1,200 - $1800+), he has never had any issues with the units and they increased his ground clearance by about 5 inches over the factory fixed running boards, and when folded out, they drop an additional inch lower than the factory runnings board, making getting in and out of his truck easier. just some food for thought about you and Mrs. W both being happy with the vehicle

      I said the same thing, just seeing how much he spent on the TorkLift stuff, price clearly isn't much of a worry so I didn't even mention it lol.

    Quite a awesome setup you have I will say. All she lacks is some 33’s on it just a little bit bigger tires but not to much and she is perfect 🤙🏼

      I'm older than Cody and 35's are minimum for me. Although I don't run 44s anymore so I am scaling back some. Lol.

    Those Aux switches up top are AMAZING. Every truck should come with those. No more running into the cab for switches that dont look good or match anything inside.

    Cody, another mod that may suit you as a content creator is license plate flipper. I've noticed in some videos you've chosen to hide your license plate, which is a great idea for privacy, and used a rag or piece of bark etc. If you had a plate flipper you could wire it in to one of you spare switches and it would flip the plate over and hide it. It's definitely excessive and would take you far longer to set up than just covering them with some scrap but wouldn't it look cool if it flipped the plate over and there was a wranglerstar logo on the otherside 😂👍

    One more thing, 4 link your rear end. It will help tremendously for crawling through mountain terrain with a payload. I have 4 links on the ‘00 tundra and my 1/2 ton truck can handle way more than than its rating over some rough logging roads with its stakesided bed full of firewood.

    Cody you oughta look into the Toyo Open Country ATIII for tires. They are great in snow as well as anything else. The KO2’s are awesome as well but they don’t hold up to heavy trucks and towing as well as I would have liked. I think they would both work well but may have to end up changing the KO2’s a bit more frequently due to wear.

    I love the night vision idea. A cutoff switch is common on police vehicles for the brake lights, dash lights and door lights are a good idea. Future video?

    I put the compressor direct to my bags and a switch and gauge in the cab. Adjust when you load and helps unhooking and hooking heavy trailers.

    I have a 1988 Chevy 2500 diesel that was an old national guard truck that we turned into a brush truck. It has the IR switch with these 4 tiny IR lights in front and rear bumper. The switch in cab says IR on off and another for black out on off. I tried it with night vision goggles and it pretty cool. I still have the old military benches that went in the bed and fold down. Now we have a 500 gal skid with hose reel and a hot shot 3 setup but in a flip of a switch we can go stealth mode. Lol
