Solomon was the second child. The child of adultery died before the 8th day, before he could be ceremonially circumcised and named.

@@TheStellarmanCo. That's what they found in her tomb. She must of given the 'best' that her kingdom was famous for and her tomb had the same things as listed in the Bible that she gave to Solomon. It's very interesting that she actually existed.

@@TheStellarmanCo. The Bible says Solomon built 3 cities and improved the walls of Jerusalem. Those 3 cities have the 'same' city gates and Jerusalem's is bigger but similar. These 3 cities gates are called the Solomon's gates. The Bible also says Solomon built the walls in a special style using lumber between the layers of rock - these are found in the 3 cities. There is no doubt that King Hezekiah of the house of David existed -- we have his bulla seal and the water tunnel that the Bible says he built. So we have direct archaeological for King David, we have direct evidence for the Queen of Sheba, we have the Solomonic city gates, and we have King Hezekiah tracing his lineage through David and Solomon. At least to me that is conclusive that Solomon actually existed.

If you paid attention when they started you heard her say she knows that area and what was happening there in the times in question, so yes, it was "they didn't do this here at that timeframe." So yes, it might have been in use elsewhere, but it wasn't used in the region the show is filming in, and so the rock is from a different timeframe or a different place. Since the rock appears (at least outwardly without scientific testing) to be from the area, it remains that the technique has to be from another timeframe.

The cities where the Bible says Solomon, have Solomonic gates including the one in Jerusalem also they have a unique architecture where the walls were build with layers of timber just as the Bible describes. This was a technique that was only used during Solomon's time. I think this is pretty convincing evidence that Solomon actually existed.

The mud bricks actually make sense to me. What happened when bricks became a common building material in England? Country houses, palaces, all built in brick and showing off different styles of laying, patterns, brick and stone types, then filled with glitz and glam of fashion and fame. Today we see these buildings and marvel at the glitter and finery, often glossing over the fact that the buildings are made with bricks.

Bob Cornuke has Bible evidence showing where the temple was in Israel and archeological evidence that the temple was not on the temple mount but that location is the Roman garrison. Makes sense that the temple would be near the spring for cleansing with all the sacrifices. The Temple mount is more than a mile from the spring and no water was pumped up hill.

If you're referring to Shalmenasar III (Assyrian), yes he was real. Shalmenasar III lived at the time King Solomon was supposed to be alive and was considered a wise and honorable king. BTW the term "sar" is an ancient word meaning king. Hence, we have king Shalmen or king Solomon. We see the term sar in many different cultures (e.g. Ausar [Egyptian Osiris], Caesar [Latin, Roman], and Kaisar [German]).

      Alex Holub,
      Actually, you're way off.
Shalmaneser is a combination of the Assyrian words, _Salmānu-ašarēd._
Salmānu, is an Assyrian deity, but also means, "the friendly one," and ašarēd, is "the foremost;" so, "Salmānu is the closest, or the best, or most important."
_Sar_ isn't even a title, and has nothing to do with Caesar.
But Caesar, on the other hand, is the actual inspiration for Kaiser, and Czar.

Christ said, “Truly I tell you, not a single stone will be standing upon another.” So the temple could not possibly have stood where the Dome on the Rock stands. It’s too far from the Gehon Springs. Those old Jews had to wash themselves seven times before they could enter the temple.

That is correct, however, the Al Aqsa Mosque does stand in the courtyard of the Outer Court which was the court of the Gentiles. The Inner Court is where the Holy of Holies is located and where the 3rd Temple will be restored. This discovery has been made recently and is in the final stages of being proven.
Too many people have been mistaking the Temple of Solomon was the one destroyed but really is the Temple of Zurrubabel and Nehemiah. This would be the one that was rebuilt when the Hebrews returned from Persia through king Darius. This temple would have been the one that was destroyed in the time after Jesus was resurrected and torn down in 70 AD.

NO!!! The first baby between David and Bathsheba, was NOT Solomon. Bathsheba was the wife of a soldier, dedicated to David.
So in order for David to have Bathsheba legitimately, her husband had to either divorce her, or die... So David put the man on the front lines of battle, between the enemy and his troops, where in time, he was killed!
Then, he took Bathsheba as his wife.
But the child they had first, before Solomon, "DIED!" The baby died shortly after birth...
It is apparent, that the Ethiopian stories, are in no way connected to the Tanach, "Old Testament."
And NO ONE in Israel, from a king down, would have ever let the Ark of the Covenant, just walk away!
The Ark was the central reason the Temple was constructed. The Temple was the home, the resting place FOR THE ARK!
In addition... Solomon erected 2 stone columns, one on each side of the "Yom Suf," known as the "Red Sea," or "Sea of Reeds," on the Eastern side of the Sinai peninsula. The columns were set up, as a memorial, to the crossing of the Red Sea, by Israel, as they fled Egypt, and entered Median, which is now the Median Oilfields, in Saudi Arabia. These columns bear several words, in Hebrew, which bears the Name of Solomon!
The issue with depending on archeology, to verify the Bible, is the influx of those, who are there solely to "disprove," Israeli history, "by any means necessary."
Like the woman, saying that Solomon built with mud brick!, Instead of using what is most commonly known as "Jerusalem Stone," the common limestone found all over the land, especially in the Jerusalem area. "Mud brick was what was being produced in Egypt, at the time of Moses! Surely Israel would not have used such a material, which would have become a symbol of Egyptian slavery, to construct not only their own homes, but the Temple, the "Home of God!"
Okay, maybe after a couple hundred years, such ideology would have died down, with several generations. And maybe common structures, like stables, for livestock may have been built from mud brick. Maybe some homes of the poor, may have been mud brick. But in a land full of stone, inportant buildings, like the Temple, the palace of the Kings, and other structures, would have been stone. But then, if anything was constructed of mud brick, there would really be no way to attach Solomon to it, unless someone found a royal seal in the brick, with Solomon's name in it.
But then... Wouldn't that be proof that Solomon was real!?

But in truth they dont want people to know that that temple and those biblical events were not happening in modern day "Israel" And you know thats true because they cant find a scratch of anything over there that are of the real biblical events. The book 'When Rocks Cry Out' by Horace Butler shows you where the real Solomon Temple is. And it is astonishing!!

Reading the Bible I’ve noted an important part. Able is blessed by God, the second son. Abraham fathers Ishmael, but Gods Blessing goes to Isaac, the second son. Then Isaac has two sons, the youngest gets Gods blessing and becomes Israel. Israel’s forth son is Judah, and the next to the youngest saves the children of Israel by making a place for them in Egypt to become a nation. Moses the younger son leads the Israelites to freedom. Many of the judges were younger sons called on to lead in times of trouble. Then comes David, the youngest son of Jessie. David becomes king, but the elder sons of David go bad. Solomon the younger son becomes king.
After that we don’t get stories of younger sons being important. We enter the age of the prophets and their place in the family is ignored.
Just reading the Bible we get a story of a younger king justifying his position as king even though youngest, that ceases to be important after his death.
Was there a Solomon? Yes and through him the Bible as we know it started to be written down. Not just the story of Gods interaction with mankind but also a political statement on the legitimacy of Solomon’s kingship.

If it still matters, I've raised two daughters and the first had the poorest example of parenting given to draw from and while she's doing well and incorporating her difficulties into successful ways forward, my second daughter has a deeper and more comforting acceptance of her being and could be termed "better adjusted".
Edit: Even with God close at hand, we seem to mess up and do get better with experience. The foundations of our children are most enduring.

I'm pretty sure the Temple Mount was built on top of Solomon's temple. It's quite typical for the "victor's" after a battle to do. Especially Islam, as if it does not pertain to Islam, any type of building is subject to be ruined, destroyed, or built on top of in an attempt to erase its historical significance. Sure wouldn't be the first time.

There are numerous non identical twins in the world today, where one is white and one is black. Skin color is pretty meaningless in regards to ethnicity and lineage.
