Hello kalsang, Can u try logging back into your account to see if your application is still pending. That is says expired doesn't mean the entire application has varnish. Maybe you stayed too long on the payment screen
IRCC is a secured web platform in which immigration applicants and their representatives can electronically conduct business with IRCC. Note that this portal is separate from your IRCC secure account setup using GC KEY. A GC Key is an authentication service where u can set up a username and password that allows you to communicate securely with online government services.
Hello Jennifer, Great observation and valid question. The form - IMM527 is not necessary for this type of visitor's visa. However, it might apply to other types of visitor's visa or TRV (Temporary Resident Visa). How you would know is that it would populate towards the end of the application where it would ask you to download the IMM5257 form and upload it after filling it out.

Hi, the portal accepts credit cards and prepaid cards from Visa, Mastercard, America, American Express, JCB and Union Pay. If your debit card from GTB isn't working, u need to get a Mastercard or Visa card.

On the immigration website, you'd qualify under business visa if you are just coming for a conference. To qualify you must show that: 1. You plan to stay for less than 6 months 2. You dont plan to enter the Canadian labor market 3. Your main place of business or source of income and profits is outside of Canada Business visitors includes meetings, special events, or trainings for a few days or weeks. That being said, since you'd be coming for a conference, what you need to provide is proof of invitation that you were invited for a conference (the company/organization hosting the conference should be able to do that). Invitation letter should include your name, reason for coming, the date(s) , accomodation details and the location that this event would be taking place as well as how you'll be paying for stuff. Using that invitation letter provided to you, you'd upload it in the "Supporting Documents" section of your application and that's how you'll apply.

there 2 places to apply form 1) is GC key, it says 59 days left to submit and form 2) IRCC portal it says 32 days left to submit??? please please explain these, i am in trouble now.
This tells me you are doing 2 applications at the same time. Any reason why? Cic has an obligation to avoid duplication of work or unnecessary cost in the process of an application. If both are submitted at the same time, both applications will be held by Cic until processing of the initial application is complete. The IMM5256 is not a legal document. It's an instruction guide for those looking to apply for visitor visa, transit visa or super visa on paper (NOT ONLINE). If you've previously held a Canadian visitors visa before getting the study and work visa, you'll have to indicate it because regardless of your answer, they already have a history of your record and they will know if you indicate otherwise

Well my personal opinion is never to reserve/book your flight ✈ before your visa is approved. Some people argue that it motivates the visa officer to know that you have genuine intention of visiting for the duration you stated in your application. Contrary to their opinion, I've seen people who have been denied visa and now face the risk of losing their flight money.. either because the airline refused to refund entire flight fee or they've agreed to refund partial payment. That being said, the ball is in your court to decide what to do.

If so, did they issue you a letter inviting you to come to Canada to write this particular exam? 2. Who is sponsoring your travel? Those coming as visitors are people who have family members, are coming on business trips such as conferences, etc. It will sure u all that on the list. They only drop down in the employment section is just for Country and Province/State which anyone filling this form should select the country that applies to them. Hi, I'd recommend at least 4-6 months of bank statement with employer's introductory letter. These 2 documents should be enough. The immigration website mentioned 4 months. Showing only one month seems like the sponsor recently put in some funds in their account and that's it. They want to see consistency in cash flow that's why they require up to 4 months. If they want to add salary slip on top of that, it's up to the sponsor. Because to me, what is on the salary slip is already showing in the bank statement. To me, it feels like submitting too much documents..

After you pay the biometric fee, you’ll get a letter confirming that you need to give your biometrics and telling you where you can go. How fast you get the letter depends on how you apply and when you pay for your biometrics fees. Hi Isoboye, Not advisable. For example, you can't apply for a visitor's visa and study visa at the same time.. Infact, that would be create confusion for a visa officer processing your file because they wouldnt know your actual intent which could potentially lead to delays in your application. Hi Hossein, The best way to upload all your POF is to do it as a zip file. The way, all the pages will compressed in one document and can be uploaded as a file. I hope this helps

Hello dear, As a tourist, you don't require an invitation letter. You just need to indicate the reason why you're coming to Canada (tourism/sight seeing, etc) and financial proof that you're able to take care of your accommodation, feeding and other logistics as needed.

Hi, when I was applying for a Canadian visitor visa . I realized that I made a mistake by clicking "NO" and that I have never travelled outside my country. Yet in the passport it clearly shows that I have travelled outside my country because it shows that I got my passport from outside my country. Please advise on what I should do now because the application is under process whenever I check it in the ircc portal. Should I go a head and rise an issue or I should wait for them to respond to me?
A fiance is not a relation until a marriage ceremony is done, therefore it doesn't fall under the family class as a loved one. If he intends to invite you, you may qualify for a temporary status such as visitor visa.

Make sure you don’t enter the same entries (ex date) that you put in your post-secondary section. It’s a critical stage and also start to check from 10 years back of working history. ( ex: from 2014 to now)

Note that this portal is separate from your IRCC secure account setup using GC KEY.
A GC Key is an authentication service where u can set up a username and password that allows you to communicate securely with online government services.

Great observation and valid question.
The form - IMM527 is not necessary for this type of visitor's visa. However, it might apply to other types of visitor's visa or TRV (Temporary Resident Visa).
How you would know is that it would populate towards the end of the application where it would ask you to download the IMM5257 form and upload it after filling it out.

On the immigration website, you'd qualify under business visa if you are just coming for a conference.
To qualify you must show that:
1. You plan to stay for less than 6 months
2. You dont plan to enter the Canadian labor market
3. Your main place of business or source of income and profits is outside of Canada
Business visitors includes meetings, special events, or trainings for a few days or weeks.
That being said, since you'd be coming for a conference, what you need to provide is proof of invitation that you were invited for a conference (the company/organization hosting the conference should be able to do that).
Invitation letter should include your name, reason for coming, the date(s) , accomodation details and the location that this event would be taking place as well as how you'll be paying for stuff.
Using that invitation letter provided to you, you'd upload it in the "Supporting Documents" section of your application and that's how you'll apply.

This tells me you are doing 2 applications at the same time. Any reason why? Cic has an obligation to avoid duplication of work or unnecessary cost in the process of an application. If both are submitted at the same time, both applications will be held by Cic until processing of the initial application is complete.

The IMM5256 is not a legal document. It's an instruction guide for those looking to apply for visitor visa, transit visa or super visa on paper (NOT ONLINE). Once you have read the guide, you can prepare your application package and must select the country/territory from which you will be applying to get your local visa office instructions.

If you've previously held a Canadian visitors visa before getting the study and work visa, you'll have to indicate it because regardless of your answer, they already have a history of your record and they will know if you indicate otherwise

Well my personal opinion is never to reserve/book your flight ✈ before your visa is approved. Some people argue that it motivates the visa officer to know that you have genuine intention of visiting for the duration you stated in your application. Contrary to their opinion, I've seen people who have been denied visa and now face the risk of losing their flight money.. either because the airline refused to refund entire flight fee or they've agreed to refund partial payment. That being said, the ball is in your court to decide what to do.
If I'm coming in to sit for a short exam or attend a conference???? There is no option for that in the list.
The only options available to visitors outside of Canada at this point is those who want to reunite with a family member(s) and those coming on a business trip. If you are coming for a conference, that should fall under business visa but from what I see on the website, i dont think that option is available at the moment. Hi, I'd recommend at least 4-6 months of bank statement with employer's introductory letter. These 2 documents should be enough. The immigration website mentioned 4 months. Showing only one month seems like the sponsor recently put in some funds in their account and that's it. They want to see consistency in cash flow that's why they require up to 4 months. If they want to add salary slip on top of that, it's up to the sponsor. Because to me, what is on the salary slip is already showing in the bank statement. To me, it feels like submitting too much documents..

Not advisable. For example, you can't apply for a visitor's visa and study visa at the same time.. Infact, that would be create confusion for a visa officer processing your file because they wouldnt know your actual intent which could potentially lead to delays in your application. It is recommended that you wait for a decision to made from your previous application (approved or denied) before proceeding to another visa application.

Thank you very much I applied for Canada visit visa after watching your video. I have applied through IRCC portal. I applied on 18th October but still no update for biometric. A friend of mine applied through GCKey account and he also got visa very fast. I want to know from you that GCKey Account and IRCC portal account is different? My friend said that I have applied in wrong way. He told me to apply for GCKey Account. Did I do something wrong? Please let me know I will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Adaora...This was quite informative... Unfortunately i had submitted my application earlier today and after watching your video..figured i had not uploaded any POF to my application either mine or my sponsor...(Feeling so gutted right now)..Im worried I might not be asked to provide further documents and thus my application would be affected. Went back to the site and noticed i cannot just add additional document unless im asked to upload same. Pls how many months of POF is usually required if requested for either me or my sponsor?
My oh myyy!!! I feel your pain. For POF, you can show 4-6 months of bank statement..

I got too worried over the document exception i had made during my submission of my application so i sought for further advice...and someone advised i use the webform to submit further docs and not wait for them to ask for my POF and so i did. And this morning i got a msg of "Original Passport Request" notification. Thank Jah for me🤣.... Thanks for ur advice too. Now i think i ve got the option of submitting my passport in person or via courier within 30 days.

Does a tourist visa require an invitation latter..since I done have anyone to invite me.
Hello dear,
As a tourist, you don't require an invitation letter. You just need to indicate the reason why you're coming to Canada (tourism/sight seeing, etc) and financial proof that you're able to take care of your accommodation, feeding and other logistics as needed.

Hi, when I was applying for a Canadian visitor visa . I realized that I made a mistake by clicking "NO" and that I have never travelled outside my country. Yet in the passport it clearly shows that I have travelled outside my country because it shows that I got my passport from outside my country. Please advise on what I should do now because the application is under process whenever I check it in the ircc portal. Should I go a head and rise an issue or I should wait for them to respond to me?

A fiance is not a relation until a marriage ceremony is done, therefore it doesn't fall under the family class as a loved one. If he intends to invite you, you may qualify for a temporary status such as visitor visa.
