I am aware they updated the process for TRV application and in a bid to renew my visa, I wanted to know the process to reapply. After submission, they’ll
- review your application to make sure it’s complete
- Once you pay the biometrics fee, IRCC will send you a letter that tells you how to give your biometrics (if applicable)
- they will receive and review your biometrics after you give them a collection point (if applicable)
- they will then decide if you’re allowed to come to or stay in Canada (they could do a background check)
- decide if you’re eligible to apply to work, study or visit Canada
- tell you how to get a medical exam (if you need one)
- decide if you need to go to an interview

IRCC is a secured web platform in which immigration applicants and their representatives can electronically conduct business with IRCC.
Note that this portal is separate from your IRCC secure account setup using GC KEY.
A GC Key is an authentication service where u can set up a username and password that allows you to communicate securely with online government services.

there 2 places to apply form 1) is GC key, it says 59 days left to submit and form 2) IRCC portal it says 32 days left to submit??? please please explain these, i am in trouble now.
This tells me you are doing 2 applications at the same time. Any reason why? Cic has an obligation to avoid duplication of work or unnecessary cost in the process of an application. If both are submitted at the same time, both applications will be held by Cic until processing of the initial application is complete.

Dear Adora i saw your video, its very useful but i have some questions can you please help me to out from this problem
1. Is there any requirement to fill the forms in Capital Letters?
2. In form 5645 (Family Information Form), to fill the names of family members in native language--- shall I fill all the forms in English, print it, and then write the names in native language by hand and then scan it to upload?
3. In form 5645 (Family Info Form) there is no option of validation, shall I take the printout of filled form and sign and then scan and upload it for online application.
4. Form 5713 (Family Representative Form), can’t be saved on computer after filling, so how it will be filled? Shall I take the print out of the filled form, sign, scan and then upload? And me working in another country and my spouse another country then how i can take her signature.
5. The main application form 5257 has the option of validation but there is a signature box also. Shall I take print out of this also, sign, scan and then upload?

Can u try logging back into your account to see if your application is still pending. That is says expired doesn't mean the entire application has varnish. Maybe you stayed too long on the payment screen

Hi, the portal accepts credit cards and prepaid cards from Visa, Mastercard, America, American Express, JCB and Union Pay. If your debit card from GTB isn't working, u need to get a Mastercard or Visa card.

Thanks Adaora. I am seeing your video for the first time and I have subscribed. I have a question please. What if I am coming to attend a conference, how do I fill the section on information about the person you are coming to visit?
On the immigration website, you'd qualify under business visa if you are just coming for a conference.
To qualify you must show that:
1. You plan to stay for less than 6 months
2. You dont plan to enter the Canadian labor market
3. Your main place of business or source of income and profits is outside of Canada
Business visitors includes meetings, special events, or trainings for a few days or weeks.
That being said, since you'd be coming for a conference, what you need to provide is proof of invitation that you were invited for a conference (the company/organization hosting the conference should be able to do that).
Invitation letter should include your name, reason for coming, the date(s) , accomodation details and the location that this event would be taking place as well as how you'll be paying for stuff.
Using that invitation letter provided to you, you'd upload it in the "Supporting Documents" section of your application and that's how you'll apply.

Well my personal opinion is never to reserve/book your flight ✈ before your visa is approved. Some people argue that it motivates the visa officer to know that you have genuine intention of visiting for the duration you stated in your application. Contrary to their opinion, I've seen people who have been denied visa and now face the risk of losing their flight money.. either because the airline refused to refund entire flight fee or they've agreed to refund partial payment. That being said, the ball is in your court to decide what to do.

Hi, I'd recommend at least 4-6 months of bank statement with employer's introductory letter. These 2 documents should be enough. The immigration website mentioned 4 months. Showing only one month seems like the sponsor recently put in some funds in their account and that's it. They want to see consistency in cash flow that's why they require up to 4 months. If they want to add salary slip on top of that, it's up to the sponsor. Because to me, what is on the salary slip is already showing in the bank statement. To me, it feels like submitting too much documents..

Hello, I don't think immigration is currently accepting tourist visa applications at the moment. Those coming as visitors are people who have family members, are coming on business trips such as conferences, etc. It will sure u all that on the list. You will have to keep checking their website regularly for updates.

Hi, when I was applying for a Canadian visitor visa . I realized that I made a mistake by clicking "NO" and that I have never travelled outside my country. Yet in the passport it clearly shows that I have travelled outside my country because it shows that I got my passport from outside my country. Do you think a spouse applying to come to visit his wife(who is an international student) would need an SOP/LOE?
The spouse can write an (LOE) if they choose to but better still, the wife who is already studying in Canada can write an invitation letter stating the reason why her husband wants to visit.
Invitation letter should include purpose of visit, length of stay, location, relationship ( marriage certificate attached) and also who will sponsor his visit for the duration of time he will be in canada (Proof of funds have to be attached). Her invitation letter will already detail all these information so there might be no need for the husband to write another LOE OR SOP for himself.
For instance:
When my parents visited canada for the 1st time for my graduation ceremony, I wrote an invitation letter for them. They didn't need to write their own LOE because mine already befits the purpose of their coming.
If you are coming to study or work, it's different. A LOE or SOP will be necessary in this regard.

The IMM5256 is not a legal document. It's an instruction guide for those looking to apply for visitor visa, transit visa or super visa on paper (NOT ONLINE). Once you have read the guide, you can prepare your application package and must select the country/territory from which you will be applying to get your local visa office instructions.

Visa officers critically look out for ties in your home country such as proof of sustainability employment, etc that would compel you to go back home after you're done visiting your brother. You can include up to 6 months of your bank statement to showcase that. Once you've been able to cover that gap, then I believe you're fit to apply.

Please do not include your rejection letter alongside with your application. It is not necessary. Your rejection letter only informs you about the reason(s) your visa was denied so that you will avoid those mistakes in your next application.
Also, if you are applying for a visitor visa for yourself, wife and child, you all have to apply as a family and not individually..

Great observation and valid question.
The form - IMM527 is not necessary for this type of visitor's visa. However, it might apply to other types of visitor's visa or TRV (Temporary Resident Visa).
How you would know is that it would populate towards the end of the application where it would ask you to download the IMM5257 form and upload it after filling it out.

If you've previously held a Canadian visitors visa before getting the study and work visa, you'll have to indicate it because regardless of your answer, they already have a history of your record and they will know if you indicate otherwise

@@angellady6959 Visitor's visa is not the only option to come to Canada. There are several other options such as study visa, work visa, or any of the Permanent Residence Pathways if you qualify. Check the website for all the eligibility criterias

Uniting with family members and visiting as a tourist visit are two different things because they will need to see proof of who you want to reunite with as they will have to write an invitation letter for you. If the tourist option is not available in the application, then you'll have to check back at a later time.

The only options available to visitors outside of Canada at this point is those who want to reunite with a family member(s) and those coming on a business trip. There's no option for tourists. I'd recommend to keep checking the Government or Canada website as it updates very frequently

Yes, for any type of visit to Canada, you are expected to provide proof of funds because they need to see how you'll be able to survive when you arrive Canada (This includes funds that should cover your accomodation, feeding and other living expenses). Your proof of funds can either come from you or a sponsor. If the member of your congregation wants to sponsor your visit, then he or she would have to show proof of sponsorship

If you're planning to visit Canada for one full year, you cannot state that in your application because that would be an automatic refusal. You have to say that you are coming for 2 weeks and going back to your country. For a 2 week visit, you should have reasonable funds to show. The more funds, the better your chances. I usually recommend anything from $7,000 CAD or more.
Moreso, you need to show proof that you have a viable business or employment back home which proves as ties back to your home country. If you fail to provide this, that is another automatic refusal.

Hello Adaora - thanks for the video.. one question, I faced a lot of problems when uploading the documents because of the size, I had quite a few supporting documents with sizes more than 2MB and tried all the possible solutions to compress it but no luck. how to address that?
The only way to address it is to upload the exact file size required. To further assist, there are websites online that can help you compress your files without losing any of your primary data. Just type "file compressor" on google to find out the ones available
