Thanks for the information I just wanted to know how to book an itinerary flight ticket online and cancellation of a booked hotel reservation prior to visiting Canada, how verifiable is this information once you reach at the border point of entry into Canada. Will the immigration officials seek to know if u have a place to stay? And what happens when they find out that you cancelled a reservation into a hotel just for the sake of paperwork?? Please reply
They will not know you cancelled,they don't call to confirm
Sometimes they can call the hotel, so to be on the safe side try not to do the cancellation it's better even to pay that one night just to safe yourself.

Thank you for the information. How do you get your money for return ticket since you wouldn't be traveling back but rather using the visitors visa to convert to work visa.
Also is it compulsory to book a return ticket?
That money for the return ticket is counted as a loss, no way to recover it.
It's very compulsory to have a return ticket however much you're not coming back bcoz it acts as proof of your return though you won't.
You can book your return ticket on the day of travelling when you are at the airport then you can cancel it before 24hrs and you get a full refund.... that's what I did. I used Expedia
one way ticket is almost the equal amount one pays for return so you don't lose much money

I just got my family tourist visa approved but my 8-month-old daughter hasn't although I have applied for her, and sent a reference letter, birth certificate & passport as backup evidence with all our approved visas to the embassy. Now the question is How long will this process for my 8-month-old baby take to be approved; so that we can migrate together with every member of my family.
Aki I'm not sure about this....but I think if you apply and show your visas they might process it quicker
The 8 months baby goes through same visa processing time usually but with the inclusion of the approved visas if can be quicker based on factors like date of entry, purpose of trip, financial inclusion of the baby, etc

I would say right now they are the same, the new IRCC portal was to help with the backlog but right now they are processing on both accounts

Im submitting the documents on paper tomorrow and biometric. My event is end of July will my visa come on time or its late. How long does it take for processing, hope fully it will take 2 or less weeks.
That's too early...you should apply atleast 3 months prior to your travel date. But good thing with Canada they will give you a visa even if your event is over,as long as you have proper documentation and enough supporting documents
You should have applied early enough. Applying too late may result to an unfavorable response. It is like flouting a travel application rule. You could have done online application in place of paper work.
