Most people in the comments section have never used the A55. I have it and I can tell you that you are getting 90% of what you get in a flagship phone. If you're not a pro photographer or a pro gamer then the Ultra is lost on you. My last phone was a flagship phone and i don't miss a thing. The A55 is a phenomenal phone. Cameras are awesome its fast and snappy and battery life is insane!

I tried the A55 camera instore today and also took pics with my s24+ and I'm super impressed! The clarity is much better and not as grainy and no blurry edges! I also prefer the warm tones. I don't film while walking and don't use 10x zoom so I don't need those features. I'm returning my S24+ asap!
Don't do it....A series will your gonna lose one thing in that camera. S24 has expert raw mode but if you thinking A does no it doesn't the processor is still lack the feature of its power RAW.
S24 bokeh is much more natural and the subject has much more details. A55 just blurs everything that isn't the subject, it looks very harsh. Objectively S24 was better in those portrait shots.
I only found this to be true in low light photos. With good lighting, they are comparable to my eye, maybe just a bit more natural looking on the S24, with colors being more appealing on the A55.
I think I know, why the a55 surpasses the s24 in certain scenarios, Sony is currently the king of sensors and the a55 has a Sony sensor, while the s24 has an in-house sensor

The bokeh effect in A55 is a bit too strong but looks good while S24 retain more a subtle gradation. But in terms of details, both of them are almost equally good.

Americans love a bit of tan in their skin. Same goes to how oneplus kinda makes the skin more smooth and a bit artificial for my taste (Happens in their chinese variant). My point being, testing on Human as a subject of the photo does make the most sense to judge quality of camera; but considering these companies change how that photo is processed depending upon the region, it get's more dicey.
You were trying to justify the A55 all the time, I get the price difference but that's not the point when you are making side by side comparison. There's a lot of subjetive here but lower noise, better details are not.,, since all smartphones can take good enough photos, you need to look at details so you can actually be fair.
I compared my s23 and my dad's a54. The difference is significant in brightness, saturation and processing. If you hated the s series' overprocessed look then the a series ramps it up even more.😂 At least for the s series if you downloaded the "camera assistant" app there are more options to tweak your photos automatically. The a series does not have these options if you downloaded the app. I would not even consider an A series phone. For its price just buy a pixel 7a or discounted 8
In most countries, pixel phones are 50% to 150% more expensive than the price of the A series. For example in my country the A54 is available for 220$ while the Pixel 7a goes for 340$. So massive difference there. For the US however, it's a completely different story. You guys have to pay about 500$ for an A5x phone. And at that price, I'd rather spend a bit more and get an iPhone, the S24 or a pixel. You guys also earn a lot more than the rest of the world so spending 100 or even 200$ more wouldn't be a big deal. But the difference to us is huge.
I'm literally going to return my s24+ for the A55. Maybe mines a dud but the photos are grainy, have blurry edges and camera often doesn't want to focus. Also I hate the green tint and cool tones it has. I tried the A55 in store today and was shocked at the clarity when I zoomed in on the photos compared to the s24+.
Anyone thinking of returning the or selling there S phone will be stupid to do so. Your gonna lose (EXPERT RAW MODE) only the S phone carry that not the A series or FE.

i think Sam's camera "problems" would be solved if they forget they're so big out of korea. their cameras clearly pushes up some tones that are cultural there. very polish and softed photos. maybe that's why major people prefer iphones, bc they make cameras for americans 😂 but ykw the camera doenst make you the best phone on the marketing if u get what im saying

S24 looks like movie, A55 looks like documentary 😂
A24 is sharper. A55 sometimes adds a yellow tint.
S24 bokeh is much more natural and the subject has much more details. A55 just blurs everything that isn't the subject, it looks very harsh. Objectively S24 was better in those portrait shots.
The important thing is the skin tone, when taking portrait shots of a person, and A55 did better skin tone than S24.

I like the S24+, but it costs $980 in my country 12/256GB, the A55 8/256GB $360, huge difference.
Beyond cameras, S24 has thinner bezels, real proximity sensor, powerful SoC, Series S software and features.
At more than twice the price? It doesnt justify it. Lol
