I was kinda confused in the ingredients you stated 1/2 cup of sugar. The hand writtin recipe has 1 1/2 cups of sugar ?
1& 1/2cups sugar is correct, for one cup of butter, and 4 cups of flour....hope this helps, cheers

I do one cup of sugar and i also add pecans or walnuts (sometimes) most times i like em plain.

350 degrees fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes (note time depends on thickness, watch for brown edges, correct color) Cheers
