As the water temperature dropped to 3.7°C at Manley Mere (in Chester) I decided to take the MASSIVE man legend that is Eddie Hall (World's STRONGEST Man) ice swimming followed by an obstacle course. Why? As per the teachings of the NEW book "The Art of Resilience" and inspired by the great ancient Stoic Epictetus, “We must undergo a hard winter training and not rush into things for which we haven’t prepared.”

Ross's original video was my first contact with eddie hall and it sent me on this 6 month journey of loving everything strongman related and wanting to compete in it on a light weight level after kayak. thank you ross for being awesome and going around with other athletes

Ross’ body is incredible. The fact that he can function so routinely in stages of hypothermia is truly amazing. Wouldn’t be fun but it would be interesting to test your body in ways like that.
I feel like ross knows to much about everything that goes on in the body, and so every time there is a pause, he has to flood you with the immense volume of fascinating info about what's going on in your body x)

How does Ross handle the cold water so well? I've been in freezing water, but it's not very pleasant, and I can't help hyperventilate for a minute or so. But he just laughs, like it doesn't affect him at all.
