I love it when Vinny's voice gets higher and he starts humming, and it sounds so wistful, like in the chorus on 1:48, gives me big Burn the Picture vibes. Always gets them old tear ducts going
I would like to mention I Love the transition from "Keep It Together" to "Forgetter," that was genuinely so cool when I noticed that during the premiere
LYRICS from Bandcamp: It's time to be extra cautious A sigh of relief, but don't get thoughtless I'm getting old and you'll be older too It’s time to see what you’ve created, Resigned to be, nauseated Sit back for the show, they wanted the real you It used to be less complicated When you’re talking to me, is it real or traded And now I suppose you’ll be going too Keep it together Gotta keep it together
I think it's the use of acoustic guitar and the general atmosphere of the song. kerosene, to me, was kind of a more emotional album, and this song sure does make me tear up a bit
I like the way this connects to Forgetter, lyrically. It's that bittersweet yet still cautiously hopeful feeling of trying to move on, which is kind of what I get out of Afterthoughts as a whole. Vinny's higher vocals are pleasant to listen to; he's certainly improved with the pitch over time. The percussion in the last minute of the song is cute. Good job on the album, you guys.
I listened to this song when passing by the vet where a few of my dogs were eventually put down. I couldn't keep it together and cried all the way to work, but it felt good to get the feelings out.
I doubt anyone will even pay attention to this comment, but this song is one of those that means the world to me. When I found it, I had a connection. It's just beautiful. I always just think of the past, what should be done, and looking into the future with hope as the song plays. I began to go on drives as well listening to this and some other songs by people like Zach Bryan and Jack Johnson, it was just a beautiful experience watching the sunrise or coming back from a long day in another state with some buddies just listening to this masterpiece. I can't stress how much this song means to me, please Red Vox, Mr. Vinny Vinesauce, whoever reading I pray you have a beautiful day/evening/night and just please continue making amazing songs like this.
I woke up this morning after a dream with the melody of this stuck in my head, and couldn't figure out what the hell the song was. Finally, I realized it was from this album, and got to hear the rest of the song which I couldn't remember then.
Am I like mandela-effecting myself or didn't Vinny talk about going to a kind of room/establishment ages ago on a stream where you are able to smash things to pieces, to blow off some steam? Was it with the band members and it got turned to this music video?
I’m not familiar with that anecdote, but it’s a neat coincidence if true. I have mild aphantasia and usually can’t visualize what I want to do very clearly, so I try to embody the emotions I feel while listening to a song into its video using more improvisational techniques and abstract symbolism; but when I listened to keep it together the slow motion destruction was playing out so vividly in my mind that I had to follow through and bring it to fruition. Also if you’d like a little Visions & Afterthoughts easter egg, the building he walked into was also in the video for The Temple.
I'm pretty sure Vin doesn't want Red Vox to get into "funny tuber music" anymore, i sometimes think he regrets doing Blood Bagel even if it has some really good songs

The vocals in this one tugged at my heartstrings! really beautiful

The vocal range on this man
ive listened to this song so many times and only just now watched the video and the visuals paired with the music is so cathartic
This is another that hits pretty strong. It's definitely an empowering one, and a reminder to keep strong even when things aren't the best. 🙂
I don't know how to explain it, but this feels like an orphaned Kerosene song. Love the vibes (even 2 months later, lol)

this song is so beautiful like words cant describe it. also give me an Eels feel somewhat

Good job on the album, you guys.
I like that the song takes a hopeful tone towards the end, like the anger and resentment has subsided and now it's time to proceed with one's path
hit heavy when he said "its time to PEEE" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hate you for that
I hate this comment because now I can't unhear it
Song ruined.
Just kidding, you cannot ruin this song.
Time to take a piss
Time to take a piss
Yes!! I’ve been keeping an eye out for this video! I was the worker for the rage room you guys went to! It turned out so good!
You met the man himself? John RedVox?
the guitar reminds me of the kerosene album, this is definitely becoming one of my favorites

I love the acoustics and key changes
Early coldplay vibes on this song, great!
Definitely one of my favorites
Thanks, Red Vox. I'll try to keep it together.
Everytime I hear this song I can't help but feel like it sounds like a cry for help, mostly because of the repetitive "keep it together" near the end
Some parts of the voice give me real Coldplay vibes I don't know why haha
I sort of got that too!
It's definitely the falsetto. I like it a lot.

Yrs, little Coldplay little rhcp
Loved the album, but I think this one is my favorite song

I am so happy for this

Yall this song is so good

@F1zzy56 That sounds amazing
🥺🥺 love love this!
2:00 Very good moment.
Very cool!
Is that eye on the mirror a refrence to the think critically guy?
Going to guess the person in this vid is a friend/close with Eagle and pitched it to them by inviting them to destroy stuff.
Schmooey
Listen to it again at 2x speed, entirely different song. Two songs for the price of one.
Kerosene 2 leaked song and music video
Are we ever actually gonna get Blood Bagel 2? It's literally one of my favorite albums
I'm pretty sure Vin doesn't want Red Vox to get into "funny tuber music" anymore, i sometimes think he regrets doing Blood Bagel even if it has some really good songs
🥰
A really big difference of this VS Mister Dink, love it though.
:D
Is anyone else hearing the Teenage Dirtbag melody in the verse?
