Glad u showed sum olk.. all out of HB and can't get any here right now. However you reminded me of a tin of ojk blue label. I jarred it about 3 yes ago because of it being rather harsh and that's coming from a HB burley lover! But now it's much smoother and very tasty. Happy puffs my friend!

Yes!! The 2018 SG Full Virginia Flake is very very good! A friend sent me almost a full jars worth and the flakes are so dark, so sweet and the room note and the taste is fantastic. I mostly smoke lightly topped and cased burley but I've been getting into Virginia Flakes lately, pretty much just the British made flakes.

As much as I like the original, I like Red Label even more. It has all the flavors of OJK that push my buttons, and the Latakia is icing.

My experience with latakia is that it starts to fade in the tin after about 4 to 5 years whereas the Virginias get deeper and sweeter as the years go on.

Morning Brian, i tried this one and it was good even without age however i prefer the original and to certain extent the white. I did not care for the blue though. And yes you are right the perique in old joe kranz with the burly give the same hint of that acadian perique. It really sucks that mark ryan is not producing anymore. Enjoy the weekend brother

So Brian: I never noticed this before but from your intro photos of the whisky collection, it appears that your "go to" drink is bourbon, quite an impressive shelf, I am a single malt scotch guy myself but I would be curious to know of all those bottles which one is your favorite, also do you think Pappy van Winkle is worth the hype and the price? Keep puffin.

Thanks Doug ohhh yeah I’m a big bourbon collector as well been collecting for many years. Although all the Pappy bottles are very good no there not worth the crazy prices now . I never paid more than $200 for any of my bottles I even actually sold a Pappy 20 yr to a Newyork liquor store last year and he paid me $1600 for a bottle I had for about 10 years that I paid $125 for 😂😂

Thanks Brian. Have not had this one but recently tried the Blue label (no perique) and have been really enjoying it. I am not a huge fan of the brown label as I prefer HB but I think u r right about the funk. That pipe in progress looks good, I like these smaller pipes ur doing a lot. Will that one go on ebay? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I may be remembering this wrong but I seem to recall that the brown is the original and the other 3 were renamed blends C&D already had. Does that sound familiar to you? There was 3 blends that disappeared at the same time these blends showed up. Same color tins. Maybe I'm going wacky because nobody else seems to remember that but those blends weren't popular and I thought they were using OJK's street cred to sell more. Not that they're not good blends. Just wondering if you ever heard that
