The thing I like most about this video is your mindset. There’s quite a lot of things happening that could be quite frustrating, but you’re all “lovely”. Keep it up!
Thank you I appreciate you saying that! There’s much worse things happening in the world right now and hopefully these videos help to give people a bit of a break from that all
Great to see you talking to my old cycling club southborough and district wheelers I was with them back in my schoolboy days 40 years ago, god I’m old 😮now
Love it Chris. I tend to shy away from 1000+ rider events unless I can "lead from the back." Last Fono event the confluence of racers and recreational riders saw several crashes. Looks like a great day out. Thanks for sharing 👍
Morning Chris, just catching up here.....never knew there was a sportive Strade Bianche. Looks like a one for the bucket list. Great day out for all ! 👏👍
Looks great, I would love to ride it. Do you know if the route is ridable outside of the sportive? Are there any special road closures or sections open only for the sportive, or is it all public roads? Thanks!
Hi Chris, which of your Argon 18 bikes did you use ? Reason I’m asking is that I’m thinking of buying the Krypton and it seems ideal ‘all-road’ territory which is why I would buy the Krypton. But if you didn’t use it, why not and what did you use instead ? Thanks, J
Heya, I used the Dark Matter. The Krypton is 100% the right bike for something like this but I used the Dark Matter, which is Argon 18’s out and out gravel bike, because I had just got it and wanted to ride it! It was definitely overkill as it’s a proper gravel rig, so I’d say a bit slower than the krypton would be because of tyre choice on it really but always fun to ride a new bike right!?
What I don't understand is - if people want to race.... Why don't they actually enter a RACE? 🤷🏼♂️ There are some great ones around... Tour of Mallorca is 😘👌🏼 This looks amazing.
I guess maybe it's a confidence thing? I'm not sure. The thing is in Italy sportives are classed as amateur races. So believe it or not theres prizes for age categories and a podium too
I'm hoping to do this in 2025. From what i see, you need a medical certificate to enter. How did you get this? Apart from that, i take it anyone can take part?
Thanks@@ChrisHallRides That is what I hoped would be possible. I have downloaded the document from the web site so will discuss that with my GP. Well done on your ride and the video you made. Loved it. I would have shown off the finishers medal 😆
Funnily enough…couple of years ago, decided not to get involved with wannabe ‘racers’,often lacking bike handling skills IN SPITE of their fitness from mostly Zwift type training! That looks like a great event though. Beautiful part of the world.

Loving this - great memories - thanks Chris!
Glad you enjoyed it!

That’s cool! They’re a lovely bunch!
@@ChrisHallRides makes me want to rejoin them
Nice riding with you Chris. Some lovely memories for us there - although not the cramp 😅
Looks lovely. 👍🏻😎
It was!
What a beautiful ride and what a gentalman your are waiting for your friend. Well played❤
Thank you kindly
Awesome route thanks for sharing. I can't imagine how you would race that with so many riders.
You’d have to be in the first wave off and at the front, otherwise it’s defo not possible
I'd like to do that on my 3 speed, looks a picturesque route...

Yeah I agree it’s too much of a mix of experience that it gets dangerous. Thanks for watching
It is a very pretty route one of he few actually want to do. Amazed at how smooth the gravel sections are.
They’re better than come uk roads!

Morning! Yeah it's cool but I would recommend just getting the route and doing it with some mates :)
@ChrisHallRides top tip , thanks Chris.......that sounds a better plan! 👍
Epic ride!
Thank you!

I believe it is all on public roads so should be rideable any time. I'd like to do it with some mates sometime.
Chris Hall and Cade Media bike ride posts on the same day? If I fail my presentation tomorrow, it's y'all's fault.
😂😂😂😂
@@ChrisHallRides "Oh no, what's this? BY GOD! It's Biker Lawrence with a steel chair!"
Bad news friend, Lawrence posted his video today also ;) they are the trifecta!
Good job looking after your friend. You're a good egg, Agent 107. I especially like when your video & music get all flow-y.
I appreciate that! Thank you!
❤😮😅
❤ gr8 stuff
Thank you!
Did it myself last year, fantastic event but OMG the first 10k were terrifying!!😮
Yeah proper sketchy right!?

what gravel tyres did you use for this event?
Schwalbe G One RS
What’s the temperature??? everyone has jackets on.
It was about 4 degrees at the start and didn’t get much above 12 or 13. Much colder than the pro race day
I always expect to hear 10+ for Europe in the morning. Jackets make sense now.

I got mine from my GP. But you need it in a specific format. That's and they require some sort of insurance I think

Is a stunning place to ride. I’d love to go back with a group of mates
Why cyclist always trying to tell people they are strong??
