Second side of hill was so much better, sure there is loads more that will get pointed out we need to do as well. Sorted my lawyer out for the case, apparently I need to go back and clear my name and jump haha will do this with Marc when he does the steepy 😃
You had a go at that jump mate, that's what matters. Probably opening myself up for abuse from other viewers here but it's not a small one and you went for it on your third go. PROGRESSION SESSION 👍

Thanks mate. Macc Forest is many things at once; awesome, frustrating, slippy, fun, taxing, etc. Worth a visit but be prepared to fall off at least once 😃
Definitely a tale of two sides. Slip slip is the way for the next 6 months. Charity Lane certainly looks different 😜, great riding...and only one off....
You would honestly think the two hills were in different areas and filmed on different days. I don't know of anywhere as wet and slippy as the Charity Lane side, it's just weird. 😃
Cheers Steve. It’s a very special place where you basically have to try and learn to steer whilst out of control, heading downhill faster than you wish to, and braking is not your friend 😀
Another quality video pal, I just checked your Strava. I was there same day it was super sketchy and slippy, literally couldn't brake with out almost losing it!! It was brilliant apart from that big hill back to the top, no pain no gain 👌
These trails look like they would be damn intense while they are dry, hitting them wet is just wild! You guys did an incredible job conquering these trails in the state they were in. Super impressive riding as always hope next time it dries out a bit more for you
Rumour has it that they were dry once, back in June, but I don’t believe it. The wet sort of adds to the fun in a weird way. Next weeks video makes this look dry 😂

It’s a quandary mate, as she goes to a Catholic school (wife was raised Catholic as she is Spanish). I was chuffed to bits when she (daughter) asked me a while ago ‘who made God?’ as it suggests that even at the tender age of five, she is beginning to question what she is told but I have to hold my tongue for now and I suppose I need to let her make her own decisions on stuff. The whole rainbow thing though, that made me laugh 😆
@@davesbikelife The Charity Lane side is just ridiculous, it's like the hill has been smeared in chip fat. Fun but in a 'I can't steer straight' kind of way. The other side (later in the video) was awesome though with techy trails, steep stuff, lovely jumps and drops, etc. To be honest though, if I were to recommend places to someone travelling up from London, I would suggest One Giant Leap in Llangollen, Eastridge & Hopton in Shropshire, etc., before Macc Forest. It's good but there are far better places 👍

Rumour has it that they were dry towards the end of Lockdown 1 (as it will now forever be referred to as) but I'm not sure I believe it. They don't actually need the reservoirs; they could suck the water out of the trails and pump that to the towns instead; it would never run out 😃
