- Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway is an approved 670 km long, 4-lane (expandable to 8 lanes) wide controlled-access expressway, which will connect Bahadurgarh border near Delhi with Katra in Jammu and Kashmir via Haryana and Punjab. It will have a spur section which will connect Nakodar with Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport located in Raja Sansi, Amritsar.The 397.7 km (247.1 mi) long Delhi-Nakodar-Katra section is National Expressway 5 (NE-5) and 99 km (62 mi) long Amritsar-Nakodar section is National Expressway 5A (NE-5A). Once completed, it will reduce the current Delhi-Katra distance from 727 km to 588 km and the time travel will be reduced from 14 hours to 6 hours, and Delhi-Amritsar distance to 405 km and from the time travel will be reduced from 8 hours to only 4 hours.

Mohit g kaithlighat- Dhali is last section of Chandigarh shimla expressway, no update available about its work anywhere. This 27Km stretch got 10 tunnels and 600 feet tall bridge building in the tough terrain of these mountains. If you ever go that way please get an update for this section. Thanks.

Sir Raise voice regard this if they connect Delhi Katra express way starting point connect to UER 2 near Helipad only 18km. Rather than making 2 spur for UER -2 Bahadurgarh and sonipat they should connect UER 2 to Delhi katra starting point

@@DetoxTraveller That is the main issue. Even one or two sections in a Greenfield part will make whole expressway defunct. I fear by the time it finishes the cost would escalate above 70,000 cr.
Whose loss is that - Gadkari’s or India’s?
@@backpropagation8365 India's loss but the leader should take blame. He should develop policy where tender for expressway projects are invited only after 100% land acquisition. And give priority to state govts who are proactive in land acquisition. Otherwise the projects will take decades to finish with budget over running by 2-3 time of original estimates.
@@drkamalesh70 ok but this was not a land acquisition issue. Land has been 100% acquired per news. It is a bunch of middlemen beating up contractors. And the government not doing anything about it. So no one government minister can do anything. The central government needs to provide security protection and finish the job.

The intersection interchange is definitely not planned well. With that limited space, how are they going to create all the entry and exit to from one expressway to the other? Can someone explain what kind of interchange is?

This highway is expected to be completed before the end of 2025. It would be foolish to expect anything before that
There is a lot of expectation from the Indian government. The people of India should have more because the problem arises like the state government has now become Aam Aadmi Party. A new party which has no existence forms the government in a state. After that it does not work. It cannot acquire the land for the highway and give it. What more can be said about it, it has nothing, which means the Punjab government is a very useless government 🙏🏻
