  • Are you giving a presentation at an upcoming conference, but not sure where to begin? Julian Rayner from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK, has plenty of tips to help get you on your way, and ensure you give a smooth and interesting talk. I am really impressed by how the video is clear and logically presented. It could be useful for students in order to prepare their small presentation at the final exam in High School.Thank you so much!

#1 tip: know your audience. At a conference where people are experts in what you do, you can use technical jargon, for instance. At a conference with a lay audience, minimize the technical jargon. They'll ignore the presentation if you use too much of it.

If you can practice slowly, you can practice quickly.

I am going to ask: what is the good PowerPoint template
for presenting my findings in twenty minutes orally? Could you please share
some useful information about presenting academic or research researcher conferences?
    Cheers

Some say if you need a laser pointer then your slide is too crowded (or use animations instead)

      Very funny
Sometimes things are confusing and teenagers will look up to people like you, and I dont think you have been any help to me at all.
But u have taught me one thing that is to keep faith on ur own opinion. My presentation was the best in the class even though I did the exact opposite of ur expert advise
But I respect you and thank you for all u could do

Now I've started to used some words that people are not even aware of. It makes me uncomfortable knowing that others are halfway there when I'm speaking to them about something serious. I need more nerd friends.

This is very incorrect as many people would know about your area of discussion say at a conference and your a student.
