I just finished rebuilding my 1999 WR400F. It was given to me in bad condition about 3 months ago. I've been patiently working on it for 2 months. Finished it at 9pm, first start in 2 years. I installed an auto decompression exhaust camshaft for ease of starting. First ride tomorrow!
Where abouts are you?? We don't currently have any offroad bikes as we sold them and got the gsxr and rc8 last summer. But definitely wouldn't mind having a couple of enduro bikes again, means you can get plenty of riding done through the winter with no worries about the weather
DODGEM SQUAD Yeah I feel like no matter what I do I won’t be able to really get it just right, I guess they are meant for dirt after all though lol I just ordered a 15 front and 46 rear so I’ll let you know how that goes.
DODGEM SQUAD I ended up going with 15/43, got it all installed yesterday and it’s perfect. Can cruise at about 60-65 no problem and has a lot more left in it too.
Hi, dont know if you will see this but I just bought a wr400f 2003 and want to get a good supermoto setup. Starting with the wheels. What wheel sizes you use at the front and rear? You still use the origignal axles and spacers? Are the front forks and rear wide enough? There isnt mich Information on the internet so maybe you can give me some advices✌🏽
Hi mate. I was in the same situation, not a lot of information out there, so I had to buy the set of wheels for the slightly newer wr450f the rear went straight on with no issues, but the front needed the speedo drive to be modified, it was easy enough to do with a pillar drill. Can't remember the size, but I got the wheels from the vmx website.

what exhaust is this
What tyres sizes have fitted with no chain rub
What's your range on the street with that YZ tank?
I’ve got a 2000 wr400 and was curious what gearing you use for the road? Trying to be able to cruise at about 60mph.
I'm running a standard front sprocket, with a 44 tooth on the rear. It's still not great up at higher speeds though to be honest

@@zacharybabcock6410 nice one, I think it's good to aim to get a comfortable 60mph cruising speed, makes it way nicer to use
