This is a really cool sketchbook! Your use of solid blacks is really good and brings out some depth in your pieces! Your stippling is also really good too I can see that you really like the usage of horizontal lines which could definitely be your artistic style coming in. The use of geometric shapes and that the way you implement people or buildings into the shapes is really good! Some things I think you could improve on, your anatomy is slightly off and from the looks of it, from what I can tell, you're free-handing a lot of your pieces so there's a little uncertainty in your line art which could be improved with a light pencil sketch of where you want the basics of everything to go, you don't have to go full detail with pencil, just enough to help you build more line confidence. Also if you're looking for a good sketchbook for markers Canson XL multi-media paper works really well for markers and some light ink and watercolor. I think you'd do really good with black drawing ink and they come in a lot of different colors. As for encouraging yourself to use more color, I went through the same struggle as well. One of the things I did was I would use highlighters as like a means to put in a block of color to make my images pop out more, then after that started using more muted colors as well. I find that using colors you tend to gravitate more can help a lot in the artistic process. But yeah! Great work! Keep at it and I wish you the best on your artistic journey!
