the goliath that started it all. in this old 2018/2019 high school sketchbook tour, I show a lot of the practice that went into building my drawing and painting skills. sketching 100 hands, 100 heads, and 100 feet really helps to build up drawing mileage, and this sketchbook really shows a lot of the fundamental drawing skills I built in high school. I was figuring out if I really wanted to pursue art as a career and study it in college and (spoiler alert) I ended up doing just that! I hope this video inspires you to keep on drawing, no matter what skill level or age you are at. it's never too late to pursue and improve your art skills, and I wish you the best in filling out your own sketchbooks, and maybe gives you some sketchbook ideas to get started!

Oddly enough, i keep my dog's cage cleaner than my room. not a speckle of dust is allowed on her bed or even around it, and her plushies must always be fluffed

I recently went through a dry phase in my sketchbook where I barely drew in it for about a year, and I'm just now breaking out of it. Videos like this bring back my motivation and inspire me to draw again and improve, so thank you :)

This sketchbook is amazing! It’s obvious that you have (don’t be offended before you finish reading pls 😏) natural talent, HOWEVER this video shows that you have put in a TON of admirable, thoughtful, purposeful work in for your craft on observation, gesture, structure, value, composition, color, anatomy, different mediums, and on and on. So many skills were covered here. I have no clue how you had the time to complete this body of practice. Truly inspiring!

This video is really inspiring! I recently bought a new A4 sketchbook, and I was so scared to draw in it that I ruined the first page, and I felt very sad about it. Sometimes you want to make your sketchbook so professional and beautiful that you forget that it's just a tool.

Love the idea of pausing movies and sketching out the composition. I def would like to try that out some time
God your work is already so amazing and wonderful back in 2018/2019!!! Its no suprised that your art is where it is some years later!!! seeing it all made me want to push to improve and try to do more studies!
Also dont worry about the eyecontact thing too hard! just do whats most comfortable for you! I personally didnt notice at all until you pointed it out!

Such envy!! Anyways, I’ve finally returned to art with the serious purpose to improve daily and hopefully achieve my dreams. Admittedly, I'm nineteen at this point in my life and some guilt can be settled. But this is merely the beginning of an ambitious journey, brimming with endless possibilities to finally express my creativity! Research and practice are key to my success! For real tho, I'm glad you enjoy what you do. I hope to eventually reach almost the same level as you (with due patience).

this was fascinating to watch!! i really want to get back into traditional art at least for sketching, and this really helped boost my motivation to do so. i gasped when you showed the half alive pages! the still feel music video was the subject of one of my last traditional sketches wayy back before i made the switch to digital art. i literally saw them in concert two weeks ago! maybe this is a sign of sorts to get back into sketching haha.
