Did my first reading after watching this video. I became super freaked out because I got "death" in my first ever reading - pretty bad sign I thought. But then I googled it, and death is actually the card of new beginnings and evolution - it helped me gain a much better reading in the end! Your advise on using cards as a way to channel positive thoughts really helped.

I’m always kind of struggling with connecting cards. Your comment of thinking of them as a story or comic, just opened my eyes to a lot of things. As a writer, story telling is something that I connect to on a deep level, and fables den’s description of cards in a story telling way already helped me understand card meanings themselves a lot better. But I didn’t think to extend that to the whole reading itself! Thanks a lot for that :)
Loved this! I always find it fascinating to see how others read for themselves. I agree too about working with the Ego.... it gets in the way with a lot of things! 🙏🏼

I'm finally getting around to learning from more experienced tarot readers as I jumped into readings with the guidebook that came with mine. My friend also gave me her little book and I've been using it as a means to learn what cards mean, but im nnoticing a number of people stating that a sense of self interpretation should be developed so I'm definitely going to work on doing that more. Great video!

I have a few tarot decks from years ago & have felt overwhelmed trying to understand in the past, so eventually I gave up for a while. I lost the information booklets some time ago that came with my decks & have been clueless on how to read or understand them. I enjoyed how both you & Olivia made it simple with the 3 card reading & interpretation. I also found your advice of looking at the positive in the reading & not going straight to thinking negative which I admit have seem to gravitate towards the worst scenario as a lot of negative has happened in my life, so I almost assume something else bad will happen. But, thanks for mentioning that because I didn't think about it when deck reading & lately I'm just tired of feeling like I'm in a chuck bucket of negativity. Sorry for rambling, but thanks for pointing that out. Looking forward to your videos & learning more. 🙂

So then I watched lots of videos to learn how to do it better but none of them really inspired me either. This is the first video that I thought "aha! This is what I've been looking for!" Awesome... came from The Witch Of Wanderlust. We were always interested in the mystical stuff so to say. Stumbled on to Olivia's channel few days back and today morning to yours. Me and my wife we do Tarot on and off, now thinking of doing it more actually. Trying to sort things in our heads of all thats happening around. Love you accent. And the idea of looking at the cards like a comic strip is really helpful. Thank you for that. We are filmmakers and writers so totally dig that. By the way you signing off with a "Namaste" was mindblowing as coming from India we know how respectful you are :-). Love and Peace.
Ok I have a doubt! I see you are using a Rider Waite deck, so it's really easy to get information from the illustrations. Take for example the X of swords HAHAHA. But I have a deck for which the minor arcana don't have people represented in it, ust the suit drawn as many times as the number shows (X of swords has literally ten swords drawn). It's beautiful but it's not as easy to understand the meaning at first glance as it is from the Rider Waite. So how are we supposed to get the meaning by just looking at it? ^^'' I think the Rider Waite is really common in english speaking countries, not so common over where I live. Anyway this is a question that's been bothering me. I'll just try to feel the energy it gives me and work with what I know of the suit and number, then look it up. Am I doing it wrong? I just got interested in spirituality. Found a tarot deck I found at a thrift store to sell in my garage. I did my first read, no idea what I'm doing. Interesting what I got from it. I hope my little reference book and my reflection time gave me what I was supposed to get.

I want to purchase another tarot deck since I got used to the one that I've been using but I don't want to upset the energy/bond that I have with my deck. I've only purchased oracle cards since I always get a weird feeling once I think about purchasing a new tarot deck.. Do you have any advice on why I feel like this & any suggestions?
I think you’ll just find a natural equilibrium. It definitely won’t change things between you and the first deck. You’ll maybe find that the decks produce different kinds of readings

I'm pretty new to tarot but i've been having lots of fun with it:) But i have a question, I asked what i should focus on for the day and i pulled the tower card and then for clarification i pulled the three of wands and i cant seem to get my head around what it means.. and btw love your videos!!
I’ve been reading Tarot for like 3-4 months and in the last couple days have started doing daily readings in the morning. i’ve always had trouble trying to read for myself because i guess i start to get too analytical and try to force the cards to make sense in my life. i also do use the booklet that came with my cards to read them, but i think i’m going to start using this exercise. one question i have is: how do you know when you’ve connected/ bonded with your cards? i’ve had mine for a little while now, but i’m not sure if i’ve made the connection or not.
I wouldn’t think too hard about what you should be feeling about being bonded with the cards. It’s more about becoming more familiar with them which is a forever ongoing process 💎💎💎

It was brilliant. We've been living in the South West now for the last 10 years. I still have my 'boro accent though 😎

Hey...this is a long shot, but...I did a reading for myself and got a pretty negative outcome...how do you see the cards as positive if you know its negative?? I asked for a message about my love life because I just recently fell in love (😩) and I pulled The Fool, The Magician, (both accurate) and then The Queen of Swords (😱) In that order. Please tell me theres a positive meaning to The Queen I dont know about...
I think this what I’m going to comment is going to look weird but, is it possible to think of one tarot card or the 3 you mentioned and whatever pops in your mind those are the cards you describe? Instead of taking the whole deck with you

Life has negativity in it. Personally my favorite deck is one that likes to warn me about people with bad intentions and laying to rest the truth that I commonly dont wann to face. The tarot in the span of a month got me out of a bad relationship and out of an abusive religious group. So I dont see the point in trying to block out the negative.

Thank you so much for this advice.. I just subscribed. The both of you were very helpful on giving tips for reading ourselves. I have a question, I'm very attached to my deck.. almost like it's my bestfriend. I want to purchase another tarot deck since I got used to the one that I've been using but I don't want to upset the energy/bond that I have with my deck. I've only purchased oracle cards since I always get a weird feeling once I think about purchasing a new tarot deck.. Do you have any advice on why I feel like this & any suggestions?
I think you’ll just find a natural equilibrium.
It definitely won’t change things between you and the first deck.
You’ll maybe find that the decks produce different kinds of readings

I'm pretty new to tarot but i've been having lots of fun with it:) But i have a question, I asked what i should focus on for the day and i pulled the tower card and then for clarification i pulled the three of wands and i cant seem to get my head around what it means.. and btw love your videos!!

I’ve been reading Tarot for like 3-4 months and in the last couple days have started doing daily readings in the morning. i’ve always had trouble trying to read for myself because i guess i start to get too analytical and try to force the cards to make sense in my life. i also do use the booklet that came with my cards to read them, but i think i’m going to start using this exercise.
one question i have is: how do you know when you’ve connected/ bonded with your cards? i’ve had mine for a little while now, but i’m not sure if i’ve made the connection or not.
I wouldn’t think too hard about what you should be feeling about being bonded with the cards.
It’s more about becoming more familiar with them which is a forever ongoing process 💎💎💎

@@HardestManInTarot My husband went to Teesside back when it was a polytechnic. I think the last time I went to Newcastle was when we visited the Baltic centre and walked on that new bridge. It was brilliant. We've been living in the South West now for the last 10 years. I still have my 'boro accent though 😎

Hey...this is a long shot, but...I did a reading for myself and got a pretty negative outcome...how do you see the cards as positive if you know its negative?? I asked for a message about my love life because I just recently fell in love (😩) and I pulled The Fool, The Magician, (both accurate) and then The Queen of Swords (😱) In that order. Please tell me theres a positive meaning to The Queen I dont know about...
You have to decide yourself if it’s negative. All cards can be positive or negative.
There’s usually a way to make things positive in life.
Also, the queen of swords can mean that you’re in control of a situation and dictating the outcome

I think this what I’m going to comment is going to look weird but, is it possible to think of one tarot card or the 3 you mentioned and whatever pops in your mind those are the cards you describe? Instead of taking the whole deck with you

Life has negativity in it. Personally my favorite deck is one that likes to warn me about people with bad intentions and laying to rest the truth that I commonly dont wann to face. The tarot in the span of a month got me out of a bad relationship and out of an abusive religious group. So I dont see the point in trying to block out the negative.
Not really blocking out the negative, but being realistic about it.
Not investing in negativity.
@@HardestManInTarot ok I can get behind that. I guess the way i see it is that there will always been negative so it seems like it would he damn near impossible to do a reading without a little negativity but idk maybe I'm just s negative person haha
