Nice Red! What an awesome place to fish. I was over there last weekend. I have the same kayak make and also back pedal when I need to get off the structure. Enjoy. Congrats.
Hey bro one tip that has saved my yak I fish structure a lot and I got a free garden hose on the marketplace & taped it around my yak to keep the structure from tearing up the yak. Just a tip I found helpful it's ugly but I am more afraid of a hole from the structure
Bummer on the gill hooked Red.. but it happens on occasion. .... and Redfish is top shelf tablefare! It's my wife's favorite. She'd rather eat Redfish than flounder any day... lol.
@@GROUNDPOUNDERFAB definitely would have kept it because it was gill hooked, but it was too big to keep unfortunately. There's a slot size limit on them in VA.
Guessing you mean rod setup? The two I use in this video have penn battle 3 dx 3000s spooled with 30lb braid. Rods are MH and H. If you mean the weight of the kayak I think it's around 120lbs without any gear.
I watched a couple of your videos. Just curious if you caught any ribbonfish on swimming lure? The ribbonfish suddenly disappeared at end of August kind if very puzzling. Thanks.
Man, you put in some solid work that day! Many can only dream of catching all the fish you did! Great stuff! Keep grinding!
Thanks man! 🤜🤛

Young man is killing it on that yak. Well done bud keep it up (I’m secretly VERY jealous) 😂😂😂
@@Whodafuqcareswyt haha 😂 appreciate it man!

How heavy is your setup?

@@SlackTideKayakFishing Oh only 30lbs braid? You're really using that rod's backbone I was afraid your line would snap lol

I didn't get any ribbonfish
that's crazy you got a sheep on plastics
Was this filmed in early November?
@@siyuanthesuper1 this was late October
What a surprise! That Sheepshead hitting soft plastic was wild!
Was just wondering do you live in Va, or do you make the drive down from De like I do?
Yeah, definitely wasn't what I expected!
I drive down from DE.
I drive down from Jersey. Unfishable today way too much wind. I got a small drum off the pier @@SlackTideKayakFishing
Great videos. Killing it!
This popped up on my feed. Not mad at all. Great kayak fishing content. #newsubscriber

@@TJ_12138 Old Town Bigwater 132, great yak
I'm going to try fishing there on thanksgiving weekend, I have never been there before is the fishing usually good late November?
Should be some tog, specks and stripers around. Good luck!
Lots of flounder caught today from the pier
Eels for big striper
Great video, where are you at
@@claudewilliams8000 this was filmed at Eastern Shore VA
I bet you don't know what the name of that old concrete chip is
Not your exact location but just what state you're in
With all that surface comotion/splashing....no sharks or dolphins after your fish??
Where are you fishing???
Never been sharked before. This is in Virginia.
Ok makes sense now... you would have lots of company if you were fishing Fl. waters!!!
I'd have a hard time releasing that Flounder!
@@tpledger100 oh if I had my cooler I definitely would've kept it!
Flounder is one of my favorite inshore fish to eat second only to the Red Snapper caught fishin offshore. 😊
It’s not going to survive.
