The tags from the battery are far too small which is why (as you said) they come loose. I just took mine apart & re soldered it. My spare remote key also didn't work but that was just flat... so i put it on top of my cordless phone charger for a day & it started working 👍
Do you provide battery repair service? Mine played havov with door open alert....suspected fob problem at the time and was not aware of solder issue....well done Ford! Im using my new spare key(carefully) and all is good. Help😁
Wish i seen this 2 days ago. Had immobiliser active on my dash screen. The van wouldn't start. Thought it was the battery so split it open to find the battery soildered in. Went to buy a new transponder ring but when i got back i tried my van again with my superglued key and it all of sudden started working after trying it all morning. Worried now that this could happen again when i am out and about. Anyone got had a similar problem.?

I will keep that in mind for my Ford Focus key that appears to look exactly the same as that one 😱

65 plate , are the keys also rechargeable on this year?
ALL Ford Transit remote keys are sealed with rechargeable lithium cell fitted.

So the van hasn’t moved in 12 weeks. Key fob won’t work nor will it open the door manually. Pretty sure the battery has died in the van now too.
