There's a video of Brex racing. I think he was in 3rd. 1st and 2nd were fighting so decided to go low and take them 3 wide in a turn. He held on and came out first. It was pretty damn impressive. I think thats the happiest I've ever seen Kyle Busch. He was so pumped about it.

I saw one of KB's videos where he was being a little bit hard on Brexton about how he was driving. Samantha stepped up and said "Kyle, he literally rode here in a car seat. You cant expect him to drive like you do".

Good point, hopefully KB figures that out. When I was a little kid, when we went camping, for whatever reason, at night we'd play Canasta. I couldn't pick it up and my Dad would be all over me about how I sucked, what I did wrong, etc. To this day, I hate card games. KB needs to encourage. Sure, give him advice, but maybe wait until he says, Dad, I suck on restarts, what can I do better?

I heard "I hope you dance" a couple days ago. Since the day that song came out 20 years ago, it's made me think of Dale Earnhardt. I don't listen to country music and wasn't an Earhhardt fan. But I was a NASCAR fan and went yearly to the April Talladega race until 2000 (when I became a mom). It's been twenty years, and still amazes me the emotions or thoughts that certain songs bring up.

but i completely agree with having recent drivers in the booth, as much as i enjoyed listening to DW and i'm sure he'd agree that he had been so far removed from the modern cars on the track that it was becoming harder for him to explain what was happening with them other than what the drivers were telling him. but i think younger fans will be able to relate with Bowyer and Jr in the booth which is what NASCAR needs.

Now I just read the story about the security guard and Dale being upset with the security guard. I do not know why Dale would be upset with the security guard because he was doing his job.
I mean not all security guards are NASCAR fans. They're put out there to do a job and if they don't know who you are, with today's heightened security, then the security guard was just doing his job.
I can understand Dale being upset that he wasn't getting in quickly like he is used to. I know at that moment he was upset "madder then hell" but under the circumstances, I would rather have a security guard being overly cautious and keeping everyone safe than have a security guard who took his job halfway and let somebody in there to hurt family and friends.

There's an interview here on TH-cam with Mario Andretti, done for the official F1 channel, where he talks about his grandson Marco's rather disappointing racing career. Marco was thought to have great potential when he was young, but ended up with mostly mediocre results. Mario says something like (not exact quote), "When I was growing up and you needed something, you didn't get it. When he was growing up, if he needed something, he got it. That's the whole difference." I think Mario hoped Marco would someday end up in F1 and make up for Michael's dismal failure in that series, but Marco didn't have the desire necessary.
Of course, sometimes the son far outdoes the father. Martin Truex Jr. being one example.

Mark my words NASCAR kids racing will ruin the sport. As we evolve into the future of NASCAR favorites will be held and the temptation of fixing races to increase marketing revenue will be too much for the sport. Drivers already lack charisma and it’s because they never chose to race in NASCAR, they were merely told to.
