Good video.. I use the same jig head to make walleye jigs for guys for Oneida lake NY...I Snell and attach the stringer hooks a little different but I do like the way you Snell your hooks in the vice which I'll have to try but ido attach them a little easier though.

Glad you liked the video. Tying the stinger like this has been done and sold on jigs for decades by the family - Lakeside & Charlies has the biggest selection of Barumbas around Oneida; I would be surprised if you have an actual Barumba - I dont sell the blanks anymore.

@@JayIsOutdoorsy if it's not the same jig as yours it's pretty darn close...i use a "walleye jig" mold from do-it molds.
A friend brought me a couple jigs one time and asked me to duplicate it...I think it must have been one of yours...the jig head was slightly different.

@@jforo3281948 the Do-it is different also a good walleye jig. My father lived in Constantia and sold jigs beginning in the late 60s up to 2003 when he passed - I continue to tie and sell.

@@JayIsOutdoorsy yes it is slightly different...I used to make and sell mostly panfish jigs around here (webster to fair Haven) but too busy with other duties... church and volunteering and FISHING so I only make jigs for myself and a few a year for a walleye fishing friend on Oneida.... BTW I like your black and purple 3/8 oz flathead jigs...I also make a similar one. I'm definitely not in competition with you, if I were you'd definitely win and I'd rather fish than make jigs.

@@jforo3281948 no worries we have both been around long enough not to be worried about competion. I would love to see some of the jigs you tie - it's interesting to me how things change by region or a tying technique becomes popular on a specific lake. I have some Simco bugs tied in NY from the 70s with thread bodies-nothing like what I found at shops in Gilford on Simco. Good conversation, glad you liked the videos.
      Tight Lines!

With what do you thin the cement?
