    538 views and no comments? Let me be the first to say this is Yoga. This Nidra technique was the icing on my 15 years of meditation practice. I share pieces of it everyday with my students who experience transformations from just parts of the tools this practice teaches. . Five years after my training I am still digesting it's power of transformation.

    I found this from Andrew Huberman, also what’s amazing is this is what Michael Singer also talks about. Anyways a very clear and good explanation.

    This is the most valuable and useful thing on entire TH-cam. Yet we see only few handful of people viewing and making use of it. And that is the irony of world. The mind allows cat and vine videos but not this one that threatens its existence.

    A valuable lesson with Kamini, an experienced and highly qualified instructor, Director of Education at AYI. While I've experienced many of the classes at AYI I find this method of using a short video that is concise in message & delivery - is best suited for me. Ever since my diagnoses of pancreatic cancer I've practiced Yoga Nidra nearly every day - after stretching & pranayama. It has given me something more to hold on to - family, loved ones, friends providing so much - but needing more for strengthening the Self. Learning the term Sankalpa - determination in acting upon the intention - provides me with a single word for the process of Yoga Nidra. A word that I can recognize while making my intention - precise and directed toward Spirit & Enlightenment. Thank you Kamini and the AYI tech staff for bringing this valuable message to All. Jai Bhagwan with Love...

    I is difficult for me to set an sankalpa and see the fruits of it., although I learned it from a student of Swami Satyananda, I wore those cassettes out. I still practice yoga nidra anyway. Thank you for the light on it.

    Interesting observation that there are so many views and so few comments. A lot of video's are only a few minutes and you get the message and have an opinion quickly. This video is 15 minutes and for me complex. It is interesting and informative without question. As for me, I wouldn't claim to fully understand it after only one view. So my initial reaction would be not to comment. I am fully engaged and want to learn more about the theory behind yoga nidra. I will watch it again and until I feel I fully get the message in the video. Thank you Kamini. This is an interesting and informative presentation.

    How does one reach the "causal state"? The entire model makes sense. However, achieving first that "causal" state where one can plant the intention is the most important and difficult state to achieve.

      Hi, this is the first time i have heard of Yoga nidra, but I realise I must of been doing something similar. I suffered with rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and emphysema, i am completely cured of these illnesses now. every night while falling asleep I would think " thank you universe for my perfect health, I am in perfect health" over and over until I fell asleep. (I would feel it was true) I'd also say it to myself or out loud during the day whenever I thought of it, even when I felt terrible! I started to meditate once a day too amongst other things but this is the affirmation I started with and I did start to get well, very quickly. In 12 months I had no meds! That was 2 years ago. I still say it now every day and it is true! hope this helps you! Sending lots of love to you ❤

    If a single 30 minute session is equal to 3 hours of sleep, could I get a full night’s sleep within an hour and a half session? Because that’d save a ton of time

  • @2006017637
    @2006017637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it possible that in 30min sessions some people do not access the bliss body, in order to plant the intention?
    I feel that part of my reason is still active during the 30-40min scripts from the Amrit Institute. I do feel quite relaxed and reenergized afterwards, but not able (except for rare sessions) to be in a full being state.

  • @auggied6760
    @auggied6760 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    But you do not disengage from your thoughts when you sleep. Examples are dreams, out of body experiences, light sleep with thoughts, etc. Thoughts arise and fall in consciousness. All sensations of the body are thought; if they were not then they would not be noticed at all. If you are making "shifts," as you call them, then this is thought. When we confuse the egoic mind with the totality of consciousness then we come away with the false belief that we are the doer. This is not to say there is no benefit in yoga or meditation, but it is a clarification that the egoic mind fools itself into thinking that it has some inherent power to change the world. Consciousness is one movement. A drop of water in the ocean does not redirect the entire direction of the ocean.
