Jon: "We're talking about Ice Spice, and Drake, and Taylor, and all the other fun stuff, uh, Bottoms...."
    Joe: "That's a movie"
Thank you for your service Joe.

I started listening to Popcast this year and I love it. Joe's metal folding chair is upsetting.

god this beatles portion is effing endless. i don't know why they have books in this room. I am obsessed with the recessed spaces.

I mean Jon’s “mention” (iykyk) of Brandi Carlile on the December 2018 Grammy nominations episode is forever etched in popheads’ collective memory

Obama Ice Spice is great but the really winner is Obama Doja Cat - I never knew I needed that style of comedy, hearing Obama’s voice talking bout baby girl needing the wiener

What is the difference between someone like brandi carlile and noah kahan or zach brian? What makes one innovative and the other stale to you? Genuinely curious

evermore is better than folklore, IMO. Jon comes from a tradition of high art -- rap -- and can't handle the white laic female tradition without randomly insisting on his worldriness/living in london (where he lived for two years before pronouncing local rap dead?)
no one is a genius for thinking Rep is dope
it's been obvious to everybody with ears
Jon hung with the Gawker crew who dined on taylor's thigh sunburns for years
and never called out the convenience of their hate
cool to be a white male rap critic who lived in london and hated london's rap

Jon’s taste in music perplexes me in the best way possible. Always very well-reasoned tho. Really luv tuning into video version of this show, and am thankful Popcast (Deluxe) now exists 💜💙🩷
